does it refuse to recognize the signal at all, or can you still capture but incorrectly? you can also try to look for answers here http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?howtoselect=4;41#4;41

I really need to share it folks... after 1500+ 4way video jumps and a couple of dozen spectacular falls on the the team FINALLY the team stroke back I was slightly late on exit, and the tail launched a perfect leg stroke right into my groin ... ouch!!! I was half screaming in pain and half laughing hysterically through the whole freefall and canopy flight. One of the funniest moments in my skydiving life (if only it did not hurt so much... )

Should be pretty easy with Project Settings in Adobe - set input in PAL and output in NTCS (or vice versa). I would first import a movie in a new format before editing it to avoid conflict of formats.

Lens fogged up.. is there a way to fix it?
FeFe replied to vdschoor's topic in Photography and Video
Cat Crap is great, but won't change anything in your case because, judging from the picture, fogging is inside your lens. Treat it with hair-dryer and put it in a sealed bag with silica gel overnight -
DVD is not exactly broadcast quality plus the thing accepts only MPEG2 and only through 25D (I think that's what it's called) connector sorry man, won't work a neat toy though one of the majors (Panasonic?) was working on a HD cam on flash cards, but because of the current card capacity it did not make sence

... with a product which is almost useless for the target audience

here's another approach

Z1 strap may feel more secure but in fact it's not . And no I can not imagine a cut-away sysytem with a Z1 strap. It's not only strap that holds the helmet on - there is also a bungee cord (which, in effect, acts the same way as velcro system on FD)

sorry - I actually meant PC1000, not HC1000... as for the 'shaking issue' on HC - do you jump it in a box?
-
...or wait till HC1000 comes out and somebody jumps it. Pictures look attractive, price looks even more attractive, but I did not see it in flash. Anyone?

management says opening delayed into April

I just received another confirmation from a committee member: male cameraflier can jump, but won't receive medal. If there will be a change in the status of cameraflier for female teams, it will be decided in 2006 only, and won't come into effect until 2007. There is no conflict: 4.1 Teams may consist of competitors of either or both sexes, except in the female event where (except for the videographer) all competitors must be female (see 6.3.6.4). And 6.3.6.4 gives an option of 'cameraflier without a gender ' (or nationality, for the matter). Either way, from this year at 1st category event an 'outside' cameraflier must be entered as part of delegation.
-
Hmmm. That contradicts with what I heard from the Committee (which was: male videographer still can jump with a female team but won't be eligible to receive medals). Let me find where Kurt gets this from, because it might seriously change my plans for the next 2 years .

Without w/a, it is rather difficult not to miss a grip or two on exit with 4way. It is almost impossible to show clearly first point(s) from the door with a fast 8way. It is easier to follow the team when you're close - which asks for a w/a. Most interactive (and not only) elements in skysurf will be either non-judgeble or look ugly (or both) without w/a. I've never filmed competition FF, but commom sense says that I would do it with a w/a as well. Shooting without w/a is certainly possible, but why bother? They are not that expensive, they are not hurting the quality of the picture (at leat good ones), they are not bulky and (when mounted properly) do not challenge your safety.
-
I guess you don't shoot competition video do you?
-
I never mock FS brothers and sisters . No I seriously agree. I was just so much obsessed with centercrossing for the last year (from the cameraflier point of view) that I just forgot that it deals with rotations only. I even checked it with the Committee. They are very clear - do new 5 anyway you like, no centerpoint issue.
-
agree but - I don't really see much benefit in this scenario for the team - I doubt any serious team would do that for rethoretical purposes , I see two more problems - videoperson still have to show the exit - otherwise judges have trouble figuring the start of working time, which may result in 20% penalty - if camera shows exit (say, team launches Meeker as if it plans to build 12), then 'looses' team for 2 seconds, then camera is back to show D - ok, judges don't see the 'intent', but they know it was there - because you're too quick as a cameraflier I may add that it is doable, but rather messy (plus after the French block 12 video technique in Croatia I don't really believe in 'creative' cameraflying for competition )
-
take cameraflier to the tunnel as well you will never regret it (and he/she will love you )
-
true, but then you had (well, technically 'have' - until May 1 2005 ) a double bust because of the incorrect inter AND an omitted formation - at least that's the way I read the old rules however, there is definately a point in what you're saying - especially since it's not clear how would they deside the difference between incorrect inter (infringement, O points) and "no clear intent" to build, and if there was an advantage in that as for it will be 'no credit' (just like NJ) exit was an issue for quite some teams in Croatia (because of the wicked Russian heli tailgate ) judges just did not start scoring until they see the first judgeble formation and no i don't think that it will encourage to cheat with blocks out the door
-
I see it as a bust: "2.12. Omission is one of the following: 1) A formation or inter missing from the drawn sequence 2) No clear intent to build the correct formation or inter is seen but another formation or inter is presented and there is an advantage to the team resulting from the substitution."
-
you bet... they won't give away all the wicked fun they had with block 12 for nothing
-
Not really. Take top teams in Croatia and apply new rules: Majik would have 230 instead of 227 Maubeuge would be 224 intead of 219 Russians would be 213 instead of 211, Sinapsi - 212 intead of 210... It will definately make the competition tighter though.
-
Until judges will bust it (sorry - zero it ) for centers-crossing (like they do now for Stradian-Stardian). And remember how several years ago blok 17 was busted left and right?
-
sorry folks - files are too big to upload to dz.com PM me if you want them desperately - or wait for Kurt to wake up
