OK cool! I get it. The smaller more aggressive canopies carve better and harder and thus you can have more fun on the way down. They just need more experience and skill to land? And if your skills don't match up with what you are flying the landings could kill you. I got it now! It's like comparing a sport touring bike to a super sport bike! OK cool! I get it now. Well......OK I'll give you that. A squid is a squid. But here is the thing, a 1L bike can be ridden like a 250ccc bike. That thing on the right hand side is a variable switch. It's not like you can add and or subract material to a canopy? It is what it is. But I see where you are comming from and yes many many many squids become organ doners / parts bikes in May/September. Don’t feel bad for me but I’m being dragged kicking and screaming to the Dominican Republican by a few friends. No it’s not due to me being such a great guy……I’m there to translate English into Spanish. Some of the guys are going golfing and a few are going fishing……I don’t golf nor am really into fishing. What is there to do there? We are not staying in an all inclusive so any suggestions would be nice. I was thinking maybe if my leg gets better to rent a moped and look around town but……I hear it’s a little dangerous? I was also thinking of maybe renting a jet ski for a day or two…..but then again I may accidentally get lost and end up in Hattie. Who has been there in September and what would you recommend? Well I did jump out of a plane a few times...unfortunaty not enough....and I do ride motorcycles and do all that fun stuff. But back then there weren't many choices for me so I had to go for the safe option. Which didn't turn out all bad. I have health insurance! And a good job. Now seriously, me a therapist? Misternatural, it's like this. When you are an immigrant your choices are limited. I have nothing in this country, everything I have I had to work for. Engineering was the "safe" option. Maybe I'm a little off but I enjoy social experiments like this. Was the guy the product? Was she the product? Were they both "taken" by the "pimp" or was the older woman a match maker? Is it legal? Add to it that it all takes place in a messed up place like Iran and it just gets even more complex. And then you have to ask, would it work here in the US or in Europe where men and women are free to mingle and date while in Iran they can't? OK let's say 9 cell 260 student rig. And hopefully open and fully inflated at an altitude of say 1k ft. I woul ask what the decent rate would be but maybe that would be too much. Very dumb question. Is there an equation that dictates forward velocity of a pilot and rig given zero wind conditions? For example if I weigh 180lbs and I’m on a 260 canopy what would my forward speed be with zero inputs?
