Soderlinds record of the times was recently posted and commented on here or Shutter's site. Is Part 65 the source for Soderlinds comments that were previously posted?

Actually, I was surprised that Cooper wasn't caught within three or four days. I lived in Washington State in my younger years. I was a Boy Scout there and spent time hiking and camping in the woods and mountains, swam in a tributary of the Columbia River (about three miles from the Columbia River itself), learned map reading and field navigation, and was a bit of an outdoor type at that stage. I lived east of the Cascade Mountains but knew what Cooper would encounter if he bailed out west of them.

FlyJack, Can you confirm that this packing card is with the Hayden parachute that is now on display at the WSHM? Here is some information on those rigger numbers. Cossey's rigger number of 1579638 is a number generated and assigned by the FAA. Jeswine's rigger number of 532-42-4217 is actually his Social Security Number. At some point the FAA started using the SSN instead of assigning their own number to FAA certificates. But putting the SSN's on public documents proved to be a very bad idea. The criminals loved it and so the FAA reverted to generating and assigning their own numbers. The people who had FAA certificates that included their SSN were given the option of having a new certificate issued with an FAA generated number. Jeswine may/or may not have done so but his SSN is on full view in that paperwork posted above.

For the record. I first heard of the Cooper hijacking while it was in progress on November 24, 1971. I had spent that day working at the office in the Eastern Time Zone and then headed for the airport to catch a couple of flights, both east of the Mississippi River, to go to a family get together. I may have heard about the hijacking before I even got on the first flight. Or I may have heard about it during the wait for the second flight. At the end of the second flight, I rented a car and drove for about an hour or two while listening to news radio reports on the Cooper hijacking. The following Sunday afternoon on the drive back to the airport, I again listened to news radio reports on the hijacking. As an aeronautical engineer, general aviation pilot, and with some skydiving experience, I had fully expected Cooper to be behind bars at that point. And I was mystified as to why he hadn't been caught. Fast forward to about 2009 when the FBI (presumably Carr) asked for public assistance on the Cooper hijacking. I thought it was a good match with my skill set so I started checking in to it. I had the good fortune to make contact with W. Wayne Walker (Sluggo). Sluggo is the person who told me about the Cooper thread on DropZone. I joined that thread about March 2009 but did not post there until late 2010 if I remember correctly. But Sluggo had his own website plus other information and I took full advantage of that. If my memory is correct, my first post on DropZone was to the effect that the proposed flight path(s) were highly questionable. This really upset some of the old timers there and this continues to date. I don't remember how Georger got in touch with me but he and I spent about one year exchanging private e-mails. The subject we discussed at extreme length was about Tena Bar which was all Georger was interested in at that time. But then one day Georger went ballistic and that ended that. The rest is well known. The post that I made on Shutter's site supporting Bruce Smith's statement about the contact between the FBI and TK is exactly what Georger told me years ago.

The above description of the backpack found on the airliner at Reno and held by the FBI there as evidence is completely contradictory between the first and second paragraphs. As I have pointed out at length on Shutter's site, the parachute that was returned to Hayden is absolutely not an NB-6 and does not have a single component from an NB-6. If you want to know what an NB-6 parachute looks like, visit Sluggo's site which can now be accessed on Shutter's site and take a look at those pictures of an NB-6.

Georger, Your twisted psyche is apparently seeing things in Carr's statements that I certainly don't see. Bruce Smith and I were just repeating and confirming things that you had told each of us independently. You are in over your head in the Cooper matter and your bruised ego seems to be taking charge of your actions and claims.
-
As plainly stated above, the entire point is that you and Carr have different versions of the matter. TK is free to post anywhere if he wishes to get involved in this.

The above indicates that Soderlind himself says that Cooper jumped no later than 8:12 PST. At that time, the airliner was well north of the Columbia River and this eliminates any possible theory that Cooper jumped south of the river.
-
Once Tina went to the cockpit, Cooper probably removed the sunglasses and put them in a pocket. It is unlikely that he had a flashlight. There were undoubtedly lights on the stairs just as a safety factor for passengers boarding or leaving the aircraft. It was relatively dark on those stairs even during daylight operations. The "reading lights" were quite localized (they were not "area lights") and may well have been the reason Cooper missed the tie.
-
There were individual lights for each seat that were controlled by the passenger seated there. These lights were sufficient for reading books and newspapers. Cooper apparently wanted the cabin "dome" lights turned off. Those lights were controlled by the cabin crew.
-
The Victor airway that the hijacked aircraft was on also had a 10,000 minimum altitude limit for obstacle clearance and communications/navigation aids reception.
-
Georger, can you name the planet you are on? How far is it outside the orbit of Pluto?
-
Georger, you do not seem to be up to date on this matter. When last seen, Josh Gates was up to his elbows in the Columbia River at Tena Bar with Eric Ulis in attendance.

FlyJack, don't let Chaucer get under your skin. He is NOT as knowledgeable on everything as he claims to be. One of these days, Chaucer is going to need a very big towel to wipe the egg or whatever off his face. And you can take that remark to the bank.

FlyJack is correct. Some of those missing communications are what we have been discussing above. The airliner was communicating with air traffic control people over the usual radio frequencies. It was also communicating with NWA stations in Seattle and Minneapolis over the ARINC radio frequency by phone patch and by teletype versions of those radio/telephone communications.
-
To the best of my knowledge, WSHM has not endorsed any flight path. I take sole responsibility for the Western Flight Path and claiming that there are 17, or maybe it is 19, redactions in the Seattle Air Traffic Control transcripts. The WSHM digital group concluded that there were redactions in the ARINC teletype transcripts after studying the George Harrison papers that were loaned to them.
-
GEORGER, YOU HAVE MADE MY POINT DESPITE DENYING IT! Why don't you compare the above with the 17 pages of "FBI Notes" which are posted on Shutter's site and see if you can figure out where all the information in those notes came from? Georger's denials are just more of his revisionist version that Cooper was done in by some people from a hobo camp near Tena Bar. And denying that Cooper was anywhere near Tena Bar in the same sentence.
-
FlyJack, you are jumping to conclusions. What the above states is that somewhere there is/was a complete copy of all NWA 305 ARINC teletype transcripts related to the hijacking. This does NOT say that the entire copy of those transcripts was made available to WSHM. The WSHM digital staff made a study of the transcripts provided to them and concluded that some ARINC transcripts related to the NWA 305 hijacking were missing.

Great job FlyJack. Now do you know how we can download and view these results? I suspect it going to require a professional survey organization to open these items up.
-
The idea of doing a lidar search and/or drone photography of Tena Bar is not original with Georger. To the best of my knowledge, there is only one person who has seriously consider that and that person is me. The registered survey firms in the Portland area have the capability of doing the above. Would anyone be interested in discussing this further?

The Cooper ticket shown above is probably the one that the gate agent took from the copies that were in the ticket sleeve given to Cooper by the ticketing agent. Mitchell's ticket copy appears to be the one that was in his ticket sleeve that was returned to him by the gate agent. Passengers always ended up with a copy of their ticket for their own records.

I have been to the Portland International Airport and it is not on the west side of Portland. Himmelsbach's story about his helicopter ride was all on the west and southwest side of the Portland area. Georger told me about 12 years ago that his sources related that the helicopter also went up to Woodland which is on the northwest side of the Portland area. But Georger will probably deny that now.
-
Georger, this is just more of your nonsense. Your claim that I said Cooper "fell straight down" is laughable. Are you also going to claim that the money bag came floating down the river, or maybe rolling on the bottom of it, and then crawled up the embankment at Tena Bar? I have been consistent for the last 12 years in my statements about what is now known as the Western Flight Path. And your recent admission that your sources, reportedly including FBI agents, told you the airliner bypassed Portland on the west side is just another factor that supports the Western Flight Path. You need to get a good physics book and devour it.
-
FlyJack, you obviously do not understand the things involved in creating the so-called FBI flight path. To its credit, the FBI apparently did not have anything to do with preparing that flight path and the present day FBI agents reportedly don't know where it came from. For the record, I have NEVER claimed that the FBI map supports the Western Flight Path. And if you have read my previous posts you know that. So your claim to the contrary is baloney. How accurate are the "unsmoothed plotted points" that you mention? First, let me point out that "smoothing" plotted points does not necessarily increase the plots accuracy. If, by chance, smoothing does increase the accuracy, I would suggest that you need to do some serious recalibrating both mentally and equipment wise. I don't know the accuracy, both azimuth and distance wise, of the radar equipment that produced the data used to generate the FBI map. But I believe that you may have posted on this previously. If it was the McChord radar facility, each degree of azimuth would be the equivalent of about 1.5 to 2.0 nautical miles laterally in the Portland area. So there is really no such thing as a radar "point" here. It's an area the size of which depends on the radar characteristics. The VOR and DME equipment onboard the airliner could probably determine the airliner's position more accurately than the McChord radar. The other fellow who posted above apparently now considers himself to be an expert or some such thing. About 12 years ago, I had to point out to him such elementary things as that North was generally positioned at the top of a map. Hopefully, he has now read something on navigation.

Golly! Flyjack, Georger, and apparently others, are now admitting that the FBI flight path DOES NOT represent the flight path of the airliner. These fellows apparently don't realize that is exactly what I have been saying for more than a decade. And that nothing ties the money to the flight path? Are you going to now claim that nothing ties the money to the hijacking? Finally, I am not trying to convert anyone. You are just going nuts because you cannot convert me.
