Win9x/ME runs on top of DOS. At startup you basically start command.com and then win.com. Clay is right in a sense that it is emulated. Windows creates a Virtual machine when you type in command. NT/2000/XP is a different story tho. With those OS's you have to load the little hamster to get the wheel turning first. Command line will never go away

Since I'm in the CompuGEEK thread, someone posted a fix a while ago that would prevent the pop up ads from the Web. Anyone remember that or use it? If so, can you repost the fix?

yeah, in a way I guess it IS a virus, only a socially engineered variant. Another pet peeve is the Missing Child e-mails. If you want to help, fine, but MAKE SURE it is A)true B) still missing

And along those lines, If you get an e-mail from someone warning you about YET another Virus, BEFORE you send the e-mail to every person you have ever known, PLEASE PLEASE check at WWW.SARC.COM to see if it is a hoax or not.

Good question. I guess I'm not sure if it was a graduation jump or not with the new ISP. She officially can jump by herself and was taught the "LAST" AFF hand signal (bring Beer) and it was announced over PA that she passed AFF. Hell, I dunno!!!! Has anybody rewritten the Beer rules for the ISP?

Way to go Chris!!! I quit cold turkey 8 months ago after trying Zyban twice before. withe the Zyban, I'd make it about a month but the crap would wig me out. As soon as I stopped taking it , I would start smoking again. I guess for me was that I needed to do it on my own without replacing one habit for another. Tough job but can be done Pulling for ya Gary

MY DZ teaches line twists as a mal. Same thing with a line over, stuck slider, collapsed end cells,, etc.... All correctable for the most part but all with the potential to lead to a cutaway. Personally, I don't really consider a line twist as a mal, but hell, everyone else was posting theirs and I didn't want to feel left out :(

Okay Okay..... they JUST let me land with the big boys a few weeks ago. I was landing in the student area which is basically one of two fields (Whichever Farmer Joe isn't tilling that week). IT can be a little muddy at times...

4 yr old Reeboks, the soles are starting to work their way off but they're comfortable and I don't care if they get all muddy

Line twists twice on either a Safire 189 or omega 189. One was wrapped all the way up but I still kicked out of it.....
