Not true, 377 cares.
-
That's not quite accurate, Bobby. I am VERY trustworthy. You can always trust me to keep stirring the pot, putting your feet to the fire, and keep holding you to an ideal of excellence.
-
Roberto Nine-Nine! How can you say that? I thought my regal status was self-evident. Although my therapist wants me to talk more about that...she keep using words like delusions, fantasies, grandiosity, etc, but I simply consider my beliefs as "visions of greatness." Don't you? She did stump me last session when she asked, "So, Bruce, when you can levitate, where are you going to go, and what will do when you get there?" So, I'm going back tomorrow. I don't have an answer for her, per se, but it's a process, ya know....

The DropZone is proud to announce a new feature of the Cooper forum: Bobby-isms: Tonight's tidbit:
-
Bobby, you're priceless. Your mother must love you To The Sky! As Billy Crystal said a long time ago: "It's better to look marvelous than it is to be marvelous."
-
Thank you Smok, AGAIN, for this wonderful tidbit and link. Karen has had quite a journey. That road trip might need a slight detour to the salty lake....
-
You are correct, Bobby. It is my understanding that SA Joseph Smith was in the bushes and was the first to get to McCoy, while Nick pulled the trigger on his shotgun, killing McCoy. Apparently, death was not immediate, and Smith called for towels to stem the bleeding on McCoy, but O'Hara and the rest of the team chose not to respond, as far as I know.
-
Reichs, here is my view: 1. Calame and Rhodes give more in-depth information on the Reno evidence retrieval, McCoy's travels on Nov 24-25, and McCoy's own copycat skyjacking than anyone else. It is critical information. Bernie interviewed the main crew of FBI agents who worked 305 at Reno. He found incredible inconsistencies in who did what, what was retrieved, how the evidence was stored, and the behavior of the agents and their cognitive lapses. 2. Your description of Tosaw's writing style as "creative narrative" is astute, which begs the question, Who are You? You clearly have an advanced knowledge of the case and the folks writing about it. Nevertheless, Tosaw's timeline work and detailed writing on the skyjacking is strong. Until we got Skyjack, Tosaw was all we had that was solid in this area. 3. Ralph got the ball rolling, so he deserves some credit despite his numerous factual errors, such as DBC in seat 18C, or the lack of resolution on the flight path, wind and weather.
-
Whoa, Jo, eleven guys died today off the Navarre beach. Seven Marines, and the four Army crew aboard a Black Hawk. Some kind of training mission out of Elgin AB. Fog and weather are cited as causes.

Geoffrey's book was released to the public in August 2011. I know we had to WAIT a long time for it to be released, so it probably was ready for publication in 2010. Remember how it was delayed repeatedly? Whew....

Thanks, Bobby. BTW: Let's review Kenny's behaviors and your threats, shall we? Here's what you just wrote me: Bruce, I don't mind supporting your upcoming book, but I want to warn you about something. I am going to examine it for any possible hint in it that alleges KC as a child molester. If I see even the slightest hint of that, I will NOT file a lawsuit with you, consult our attorney, or anything like that. However...I WILL file protests with your print provider and/or publisher, whether it be Lightning Source, Lulu.com, Amazon Kindle, whatever. And I will hold THEM responsible for any possible libel. Just saying. And whomever ends up being your print or eBook provider is going to come to you about this. Failure to provide any proof of such allegations would mean they would probably drop distribution, or they will request you drop such allegations from your book. This is the most fair approach with you, and I think I am doing you a favor by not making this stuff public. I want to give you a chance for success. Don't make me do this. I've interviewed more than 30 people, of whom about half knew Kenny very well for decades. He did take in runaways occasionally, but not until later in life. And he never put a hand on them. For you to even hint such a thing is irresponsible beyond belief. And I will take the proper action if you do this. Otherwise, I fully support your book. I know you've worked on it for quite a while, but no provider will support such allegations and put themselves at risk unless you can prove such allegations. Sincerely, Robert And here is what I wrote about Kenny: "However, Christiansen had a disturbing side to his personality that casts a harsh shadow - he invited runaway boys and young men to stay at his home in Bonney Lake for extended periods of time. This was revealed by Gray and confirmed by Blevins. "Gray interviewed one of the young men, now an adult, who said that Kenny was generous with his money and returned from his travels with gifts. He also said that Kenny would treat him to meals in restaurants. "Despite Christiansen’s questionable parenting skills, the young man who stayed at Kenny’s home told Gray - and Blevins in a follow-up interview - he had never been abused by Kenny in any way, and knew no one who had. "Nevertheless, it is unclear what kind of supervision these at-risk kids received when Kenny was flying to Asia. "Certainly, these behaviors do not rule out his candidacy to be DB Cooper, but they seem a more plausible explanation for a death-bed tête-à-tête with Lyle than stealing an airplane." I guess I'll see you in court, Bobby. It's your play.

Are you guys serious? (Sorry, I'm new.) I can't tell. These are the same heroes who were sued by McCoy's wife and LOST and had to pay her money as damages and kept it quiet out of the public to hide their shame behind a lawyer? And didn't she also sue the publisher of the "most honest and revealing book" and they also LOST and agreed to pay her money as damages? Doesn't "libel" and "defamation" mean that it is both "intentional" and "false?" I'm not an author but aren't those words opposites of "honest?" "DB Cooper- The Real McCoy," (Here's to hoping your writing is more inspired than a shitty pun.) Yup, those are the guys. McCoy's wife is quite a character study. I don't know the details of the law suits, but I believe you are correct as to the judicial findings. I assume that the sticking point is that Calame and Rhodes name her as the getaway driver and an accomplice after the fact by helping stash the money and participating in the cover-up. Apparently she charged that C&R couldn't prove it, so it was deemed libelous. Geoffrey Gray says he tried sorting this out, and went to Provo to find Mrs. McCoy, who has changed her name, it seems. She wouldn't talk, nor would her attorney. The kids, now grown, also stonewalled GG. Nick O'Hara ain't talking either, specifically how he knew to find McCoy in Virginia Beach. His information was complete, even down to the street address. WHen I asked Nick about the wife's involvement he burst out laughing - loudest laugh I ever heard from a G-man - and he said he would never tell me, adding: "Bernie has been asking me for years and I haven't told him either!" As for lawsuits, Blevins says he is gonna sue my ass and blow my credibility throughout the literary industry, so, I guess I'll be in good company. And all I'm doing is reporting what he and Geoffrey have reported on Kenny's harboring of runaway boys. I guess he doesn't want me to infer to the world that is naughty behavior. Say Bobby, who took care of the kids when Kenny was flying to Asia? Just askin'.

My favorite heroes are the quiet, unsung ones, Like Bernie Rhodes and Russ Calame. I dedicated my book to them today, in my final proof of the final proof. Over the phone with my editor. I've come to realize that their book: "DB Cooper- The Real McCoy," is the most honest and revealing book in the Cooper firmament. It's hard to imagine any FBI agents writing a book these days that is so truthful and searing. That makes it the most important book on the Norjak investigation, illuminating the botched fingerprint retrieval, mind control of the primary agents, proof that McCoy was in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Day and his alibi bogus even though the Seattle FO bought it. Oh, and the tie was four days late to the Seattle FO from Vegas... Say, Three, you ever wonder why no one in the Seattle FO wrote about about DB Cooper? Hmmmmmmmmmm..... Wanna join me on a road trip to Indian Shores and toast Bernie? Bring the good stuff, will ya. Then maybe we can get a convoy going up to DC to demand the butts - ya know, get Shut over in Lauderdale, Smokin' in peach country...I know a few more guys along the way, like that guy who runs the DZ in Charleston and is already in hot water for teaching people how to do the Cooper jump....maybe Miss Amazona can drop in with her NB-8 and get press coverage for a direct drop on the roof of the HQ. Better bring a couple bottles, know what I'm sayin'?
-
I disagree, Bobby, strongly. Your opinions carry great weight, and at times a lot of weight - just ask Danny Ten-Ten. That said, you love to worship heros and you create them all the time. It's your cultural goggle. Today it's Rataczak. A while ago in the Ariel Tavern, it was the FBI, when you were saying on camera that they were trying hard to solve the case and I asked you to prove it. After all, they just lost the most critical piece of evidence, the 8 cigarette butts, and no one seems to be looking for them in Vegas... You just shrugged your shoulders. Keeping you honest is one of my duties as a prince. Just sayin'.

What makes him a hero, exactly? Flying a plane with a guy in the back with a bomb? Or his multiple answers to a vital question about the disappearance of the guy who had the bomb? Or his steadfast friendship to Himmelsbach even though Ralph misspelled Bill's name in his book?
-
I need to learn? Maybe there are some things you need to learn, as well Mrs. Cooper. Like how we all need someone to take care of us from time-to-time. That's something you and your Tea Party friends don't get. Back in 2010 I covered a Tea Party Town Hall meeting on healthcare and the crowd cheered a woman who promised to die before taking a "dime of government money." I'm all for you getting the assistance you need, Jo, but if you're gonna keep bitchin' about this, well, too bad. I'm still gonna vote for people who promise to help people, like Obama. But if you like wearing men's T shirts and bathing once a month, keep votin' for Jeb. Seems like he's coming around again. Front page news today on the New York Times was about Republican debating how best to decrease Medicare funding. Sounds cheery, doesn't it.
-
Well, isn't that what you wanted? You sent me all those diatribes against Obamacare and federal health benefits, and now, it seems you are reaping the rewards of your actions. Why not call your friends at the Tea Party? Maybe they can help take care of you. They seems pretty friendly and wear all those cool costumes.... As to the astute advice from Robert Nine-Nine, delaying orthopedic surgery for four months is the Jo Weber I know. Way to go, Jo! I always thought you were as tough on yourself as you are on the rest of the world.
-
Get real and stop going for cheap sensationalism. I only sent him a frickin' letter. (See attached) And my name isn't 'Bobby' LOL. Because you made those juvenile posts, I will make Rataczak's responses non-public, and only provided to certain folks I already trust. If I posted up his answers, you would probably respond to them just as you have here. And it is not my wish to embarrass Rataczak, or give you the opportunity to do so. He seems like a nice enough guy to me. Way to go, smart guy. Have a great day. You're gonna miss an opportunity to show us how a great interview is conducted? Really?

An Update on the Sabotage of Mrs. Cooper's investigation Jo Weber, aka Mrs DB Cooper, has revealed further efforts from evil people seeking to thwart her attempts to prove her former husband, Duane (no y, no w) Weber, was the infamous skyjacker, DB Cooper. Earlier this week, Mrs. Cooper identified Bobby Blevins failure to follow-up with Twisty People in Twisp, Washington who could conclusively prove that Duane knew people in the Evergreen State prior to the skyjacking. Prior, Mrs. Cooper alleged that Prince Bruce's failure to locate and interview Atlanta ATC/ATF agents assigned to Seattle in 1974 during tech installations, was a key misstep is proving Duane was the skyjacker. However, the list of researchers impeding her quest has grown significantly, as had the passion. Mrs. Cooper now claims that Robert Nine-Nine is a creep, and worse: In addition, Mrs. Cooper has expanded her hit list and identifies the noted Norjak researcher "SLUGGO," as another person who has botched his job. Additionally, Mrs. Cooper attributes gender bias for all these men getting in her way to prove that her man was Da Man. Mrs. Cooper also implicates the Famous Amos of FBI investigation, Ralph Himmelsbach, (aka Mr. H) as dropping the forensic ball. Astonishingly. Mrs. Cooper has been on this quest for 18 years without success. However, she has only blamed the FBI in the past for sabotaging her quest for the truth. Now it seems, she is accusing the entire DZ. Except for 377, whom everybody loves, even Jo.

Bobby B to Talk Directly with Bill Rataczak - Update Promising to do what he says he should have done a long time, Blevs is gonna talk to Bill Rataczak about where 305 was when Cooper jumped. But what will Bill actually say? Here are the Top Ten possibilities: 1. Robert who? 2. Kenny who? 3. Oh, Skipp Porteous? I talked with him already. Why don't you ask him what I said back then? 4. Where was 305 at 8:13? Ask Cousin Brucie - he knows. 5. Like I told Ralph, we were over the Washougal. 6. Like I told Prince Bruce, it's an enigma. 7. Like I told that guy from the Mountain News, 305 was a couple miles east of Victor-23. 8. Like I told Mrs. Cooper, I could see the lights of Vancouver to the right of the aircraft. 9. How should I know? I was just the guy flying the frigging airplane. Go ask Andy Anderson, he was the navigator. 10. Ask Scotty. He was getting paid the big bucks and was PIC.

Update on Bobby's Botching Mrs. Cooper's Investigation For reasons that are still unclear, Jo Weber's determined 18-year investigation into the truth of her husband's claim that he was DB Cooper, was thrown off the rails this week when Mrs. Cooper revealed that Bobby Blevins had failed to uncover VITAL information that would prove Duane's near-death-bed confession in 1995. If Jo can't depend on Bobby, who can she rely on? Details to follow on this breaking story. Stay tuned!

We actually agree on this concept. Gray's book provides more insight than any previous book to events during the hijacking and directly afterward. And yes...he leaves off some important points. Look let's get down to cases here. We would have figured out (for sure) whether KC was the guy by now if only Skipp Porteous hadn't decided to put the freeze on Gray while Skipp and I were working on the whole KC thing. Here's the bottom line deal, I think: Gray knows THIS much about KC. Skipp and I know THIS much about KC. Everyone's checking out KC at the same time. Since Skipp was the liaison with Gray, and I heard he was consulting with him sometimes...I just figured they were still exchanging information. But Skipp decided to cut Gray from the information loop and he didn't tell anyone about it. Not even me. I found out when Gray released his book. I had a pre-order in at Amazon and it came the day of release. Fine...I read it. Starts out talking about Kenny. It is HEAVILY Kenny...but to my amazement I can tell Gray doesn't have a clue that we're investigating KC's closest associates. There is nothing about them. So...I ask Skipp Porteous WTF is going on? He tells me he kept Gray in the dark. Well, fuckin' A bubba, that's great. While I'm on a search for the frickin' truth on KC, you cut out the guy who actually investigated him first. Why didn't you keep him updated? Maybe HE could have interviewed some of the same people I did and then maybe I wouldn't be left holding the bag without support from a second source! Do you see where the screw-up here is? And why I had to keep investigating KC on my own? That sucked. Maybe if we'd all worked together, I told Porteous...etc. He later apologized for doing that. But it was too late. Now you have two books out there, one ABOUT KC, the other covering him quite a bit...and NEITHER is complete. Neither comes to a definite conclusion. So time was wasted settling the KC question once and for all. You can understand I was pissed off for a while about this whole situation. I shut down my editing business for more than a year (pays a LOT more than anything Cooper LOL) and had to keep traveling around and interviewing people, etc. After that all happened, I provided Gray with every file we had on KC, and I mean EVERYTHING. I keep him updated, even today. I think he's moved on from DB Cooper, though. Non-Cooper: Microslave (er...I mean MicroSOFT) is developing their HoloLens device. It can't be explained. Just watch the amazing video on how it will work. This is sci-fi Future World stuff. Google Glass? LOL. This one is way better. I told our techie guy Greg I gotta have one of these when they come out. Skippy sounds like a wonderful fellow.

I don't know.
-
Okay, So Stan and Duane were related through the marriage of a godchild AND Stan had a financial deal with Duane's brother. Next, Florence, Tina and Alice all picked different facial types fromt the FBI, such as KK-5, KA3-9, AND a few others. But WTF does that mean? Are they close or radically different? Again, GG doesn't say and he makes me crazy with leaving those details out.
-
Nope. Didn't know. I'll have to re-check GG's book.
