Only one person is Cooper. You and Marls share the storys .

Farflung : perfect response. I have a serius question. If I had lost a five dollar bill I would and have spent countless hours looking for it. If I lost 200,000 dollars I would not leave the area or move to another location untill I could find. at least part of it. But Im not a crook. Is there a difference between a person that looses money than one that lost money they felt they so desperately needed to risk there life for. I don't think so. Still there is one question, I would ask the hijacker, This question is the one that would Identify the real culprit.I have mine, what would be your's or the rest of the people on this thread. Jerry

377: You have made jumps with a big bag and other equipment yet your and experienced skydiver and one of the best, you knew how to carry your added equipment and what to expect. Still you were chalenged . How long have you been in the sport 42 yrs. However Cooper was not that experienced, his actions proved it. There is no way a novice jumper could have overcome the unexpected problems he would have experinced during this jump. You lost your googles in the blast what do you think an inproperly mounted money bag of 21lbs could have done.Jerry

Mark: He had that 21 lb bag tied to his side. As we discussed , what unexpected problems would that have played with in a half a second of leaving the aircraft. Now remember he thinks this bag is going to remain in place.The bag and the extra weight will do what. Jerry

Bruce: Did she say why she has gone out of her way to contact every TV station And news paper accross the country in the last 72 hours?Tis I can prove. Did she or anyone else say why her and her families story keeps changing?What is she going to say next week when the DC office says LD was not Cooper? Jerry

arfuller. That is not confimation that the FBI confirms her story. What date did they confirm her story and release a statement that says without a shadow of a doubt they believe her story to be true? And what questions did they base this on?.Im sure it is not the same story she is telling now .How long did this test last. Where is this published or confirmation of this story? Jerry

arfuller: The placard could have been found anywhere . Still the air craft was in a slight deviation at that point, the wind directios at 9500 ft is different that what is experienced at ground level. Yet the flight path was altered in this area to avoid populated area's such as Vancouver/Portland. The aircraft was past the critical mountain elevation at that time, so a direction change was an easy decission for the pilot's to make. Jerry

arfuller: When did the FBI issue a statement that Marla pass a polygraph test. Why would they test the niece instead of her mother or LD"s wife's ect. They ended up with one of his tooth brushes it had to come from someone closer to him than Marla. If you were a investigator for the FBI wouldn't you test other family members as well. I cerntinally would. Does'nt this intire story of Marla Cooper's smell fishy or at the very least planned and directed by someone with dollar signs . Jerry

Blevins : I guess the real question is, could anyone survive this jump? 377 and I have discussed this in detail.377 now has his doubts.Tom Kaye measured the length of cord that was cut from the opened chute. There was just enough missing that would allow cooper to attach the money bag to his side. This was a mistake that an experienced skydiver would never make. After 377 and I discussed this he was in agreement that the chances of Cooper surviving this jump was next to none. Jerry

Smokin 99: we only have Marla's word on this so called polygraph test. The FBI has not released any info about this test.Jerry

Tom: One thing I forgot to mention about the Lewis River,It has a lot of high waterfalls and rough rapids. A person would have to be in excelent physical shape in order to negotiate this river. It would be imposible for a injured person to navigate this river even with the help of another person. Jerry

Tom Yes the lewis is navigable to the columbia river then it is upstream to the willimate river or the sandy river. The same can be said for the Salmon river watershed. Only problem is The 21 lb money bag. As you know the only way Cooper could have attached the money bag was to his side.You measured the line that was cut from one of the chutes left on the plane. It would have been almost imposible for him to deploy the parachute with the money bag attached to his side with out going into a unrecoverable spin. Jerry

Mark You could be right. We'll all know next week. FBI headquarters in DC got the full story yesterday before 4:30Pm et.They also got a copy of the NBC release from Portland Last Night. I know Curtis Eng got a copy of Bruce Smiths report yesterday afternoon. Marla posted this AM that Curtis Eng said today that he could close the case on his own on her face book today. So I guess she has personal contact with him daily. Just don't know. Only time will tell. Jerry

Blevins: The story she told at the symposim and what she is saying now has changed. Make no mistake, she has gone to all these news stations and newspapers. None of them contacted her. She was pushing for this story of hers to go National yesterday. She even contacted the local stations in her home town and posted it on her face book. Its as if she is trying to get public backing to support her claim. It is almost as if she is trying to put the FBI on the spot so they will back up her story. Jerry

Farflung: Marla will probably be on the news again tonight. She is presently at the Beer fest in Portland, drumming up more media attention. Jerry
