Blevins: If Curtis Eng realy did tell Marla the things she claims. He will probably be looking for a new best friend somewhere in Alaska or may even try to move in next door to Sara Palin. I just don't see any FBI agent making that kind of mistake. Jerry

Deathray:The people that are responding to your posts have had years of experience and have researched this case for years. Most of the posters on this site are Skydivers, Authors,Investigators Lawyers, Researchers, Scientist, Aircraft Engineers, Survival Instructors/Experts, Proffesors,Self made Millionaires ect.There is very little about this case they do not know.So have some respect. Make sure you know who your addressing before calling them names.Do your research before making statements. If your wrong they will call you on it. Jerry

Geoger: The FBI can't close the case untill they dismiss the John Doe warrant. They must show proof to do this. The case can only be closed by the head office and cannot be closed at the field Office level. Jerry

Orange 1 Yes I did follow through on Melvin Wilson.In all my interviews and at the Symposim I also stated that Melvin Wilson was the best suspect that I have seen in my 25 yrs of working on this case. I stated that if wilson wasn't Cooper that he fits the profile to a tee as to what we should be looking for, a man that hasn't been seen since 24 Nov 1971. I also pointed out that it would have been impossible for a person that was not a highly experienced jumper to have maintained control. The hyjacker would have gone into a spin within a half of second because of the extra 21 pounds he had attached.Jerry

Farflung: I wonder where she found this tooth brush.It is even harder to believe anyone in her disfunctional family would keep a tooth brush all those years. Did he still have teeth or did anyone ask that question. Better yet did he wash this tooth brush or was there any DNA on it. Chances are it wasn't realy his tooth brush. She probably just claimed it was.If he couldn't walk like she says how did he get out of the woods . How could he relay his location or see any reference points like 377 has mentioned? Jerry

Geoger: Marla is going to look awfull funny when the FBI makes the statement that her Uncle wasn't Cooper and the case remains open. This is what will Happen. The story that just aired, Marla says the exact same thing that Bruce Smith published. I just don't see an FBI agent telling Marla what she claims. Jerry

News Chanel 8 in Portland oregon just aired Marla coopers story Marla says that the FBI is testing an old toothbrush for her uncles finger prints and is closing the case.The FBI said they are testing the toothbrush and the case remains open Jerry

Class Clown: I asked Ralph H that same question today. He thinks that it is just Marla getting as much media attention as she can. He doesn't think a FBI agent would make a statement like Marla claims has been made to her. K 5 news from Seattle, Chris Ingles said when he called today that Curtis Eng told him basically the same thing Curtis Eng told me yesterday. Jerry

Just recieved a phone call from Chris ingles at K5 News from Seattle. He said Marla Cooper contacted him and said Curtis Eng was going to close the case and that her uncle was Cooper. Bruce where is your story. It looks like the big networks may air it befpre you publish. Jerry

Robert99: I've tried to make that point in the past.What will shock all of you is what Marla says Curtis Eng has told her. Bruce where is that post you have promissed.Im shocked the FBI has even given her story 1 minute let alone 2yrs.I used to defend the FBI but after this story I have my doubts about there ability to understand what is involved to pull a crime like this off and survive.Like Mark says the man couldn't even walk let alone make it to a assembly point or comunicate his location.There again Marla's Walkie talkie's, that she remembers could have been the old Telephones with antenna's.A lot of her story begins with my mother say's or some one else I wonder how much of her story was implanted.I wish Curtis Eng monitored this Forum. After reading some of these comments he would dismiss Marla's story altogether.But he is a rookie and it shows. Jerry

Bruce will be publishing his story by midnight and will Quote what Marla told him. Marla has relayed her story to others this evening to include Geof Gray.I first heard about it at 1:20 this afternoon I talked to Curtis Ng at 4:30 this afternoon.The rest i already posted. Bruce Smith talked to Marla this evening and will post everything later tonight.Not much left to do but wait and see what happens in the next week or so. Jerry
