    Leave no trace only applies to base camp.....Maybe! There is junk on the mountain from the Mallory expeditions. Kinda of funny, the Chinese have gone up the mountain and retrived some of this stuff for their R&D! When global warming really kicks in, they are going to find all kinds of crap! A really good read is the book about the team that found Mallory's body. It's full of good pictures and history!

    A fun adventure book by a guy named Geoff Tabin called Blind Corners. He has been climbing all over the world and is a great writer with lots of funny things in his stories. I think I have read that book about 4 times. I am reading another adventure book by H.W. Tillman.....really neat guy who did all kinds of really cool things if you like true adventure.

    In a polygraph interview I was asked "have you had sex with animals?" I said "domesticated or wild" while I kind of smirked. The polygrapher didn't think it was funny, I did.     I just watched that idiot piss on his shirt and then wrap it around his head to stay cool......If you are really in a survival situation, save your piss to drink and travel at night.......then he says he needs to find some shade. Well, directly behind him is a bunch of rocks with lots of shade. I then watched a video of him drinking dung juice......well, that will work on the 14th without food, good thing I have a pretty fast fall rate and I think I can go longer without food!.....I think I would rather go riding around the backcountry in a blizzard with James Kim than hangout with that guy! forget about that guy and watch Cody Lundin.     So, could they show up with a dog barking at your house and use that as probable cause? In response to another post, I said 'especially the poor and uneducated' because they lack the means to defend themselves in court. Rich dumb people can hire smart lawyers. Solution - don't even open your door. Without a warrant, they have no recourse. IIRC, searching a vehicle requires reasonable suspicion, whereas searching a residence requires probable cause. The standard is a lot higher. To search a home, you need a warrant, permission, or specific circumstances. While a dog alert may provide probable cause [United States v Sokolow (490 U.S. 1 (1988) U. S. Supreme Court.], without the right circumstances justifying a warrantless search of the home, they'd still need to get a warrant. What you speak of is idealistic theory.     Well, that is just it. Many actions of the police are unconstitutional, and they know their acts are in direct conflict of the document, but they will do it anyway because they know that it takes years for an answer of "No" to get through the court system.......Thank God for watchdog groups such as the ACLU who fight this sort of corruption for us! Personally, if the police knock on my door and I have not called them, no way in hell I am going to open that door or even speak to them. I was once driving through BFE and listening to her......A woman called and confessed that she had been cheating on her husband with a guy from work and Dr. Laura went off on her and called her a slut! The very next day a woman called in and confessed to cheating on her husband with a guy from church and Dr. Laura told her that is was ok, stop the side action, never ever tell your husband and forget it ever happened!
