I miss Washington! A little bird tells us we're headed back that way next summer. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

He's got a little saddle on there. Not much but enough to keep a second asshole from being punched in by the seat tube. That Dude's insane. The backflip coming off the tree is pretty cool. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

I have my kids pick them up. They get a kick out of it. In fact, they'll kick them until they land on heads before picking them up. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

A Frenchman, an Italian & a American are in a bar talking & the conversation turns to sex. Soon they start bragging about who has the best tecnique & the best post-coitus technique. The Frenchman says "After making love to my girlfriend, I take a feather and tickle the soles of her feet, and she rises 6 inches off the bed in ecstasy". The Italian, not one to be outdone, tells the other two "After a night of passion with my wife, I suck her toes, then make my way up her leg, nibbling her calf & thighs & she rises 10 inches of the bed in ecstasy." Finally the American says "Well that's nothing, after fucking my girlfriend, I get up, walk across the bedroom, wipe my dick on the curtains and she hits the fucking roof!" We just got back from a week at Disney World and have to say that the Spring Break crowds were a huge pain in the arse. Late August might be just as bad with everyone trying to make a last ditch effort to get to the parks before school picks back up. Bring a cattle prod. At this age, it's really for your enjoyment. The looks of amazement on your childs face will be something that you'll enjoy and remember. My kids are 2, 7 and 8 and it was so much fun watching them. My older two have been several times each and don't remember a thing from earlier visits. I swear that some of the rides should have seats for the parents that face their children because that's where the action is as opposed to the actual attraction. The military discount really makes it more bearable. As we walked around and struggled with the crowds, I took comfort in the fact that it only cost us $20 a day to get in the park since my wife was free and the other 3 passes were $100 each for 5 days. We did add the option for the water parks and Disney Quest. Also, a park hopper is an option that costs more so you can only do one park per day. You can't go from one to the other on the same day. DQ ended up being a good thing for later in the day with my older two after the parks were already visited. All of the parks have good stuff for a two year old. We missed a few things because of long lines; Peter Pan at MK was a 90 minute wait; Character lines were a good 30 minutes and the food lines were always long so pack lunches to save time and money. We were able to get onto a lot by hitting the parks very early. My wife and I would spllit forces as soon as we got into the park. One of us would take the kids on a ride and the other would go fast pass the next attraction. PM me if you want to pick my brain some. Also, don't forget that for military, Sea World is free and Universal has a big discount too. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Someone hacked into my msn account and actually placed a message in my auto reply. Every time I got an email, it would generage a spam message back to the sender from my email account. Took me a while to figure out what was going on but I thought that was pretty slick although not a good way to flood the masses with spam. Damn hackers. If you start getting messages back that a strange email that you sent was undeliverable, your email address has been hijacked. Incoming is just an inconvenience and bothersome- just delete it. If it has a good link, make sure you post it here! Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Why not learn to do a good PLF? Plan all your landings as a forward PLF and if you stand up, then that's gravy. All through AFF, my instructor would tell me that a PLF was "Plan A" for landings. I'm fortunate enough that I was taught by the army. Two weeks of PLF training before jump week. Yeah, you learn a bunch of other stuff in the two weeks but an awful lot of time is spent rolling around in the saw dust learning to PLF in 4 different directions. I went through that school 20 years ago and on my AFF 1 back in December, I flared a bit late but was "programmed" to do a PLF. I hit and rolled like I was taught. I swear it was muscle memory at its finest and I barely felt the ground. I'm not sure how much the AFF course is supposed to teach a proper PLF. I was in AFF with another military jumper and we each had to do only one to show we could. Find a picnic table in the grass somewhere and practice them. The link below shows a left side PLF but it's similar enough for a front PLF with the same 5 points of contact. http://www.dukesofwindsoar.com/dukes.cgi?do=html&htmlfile=html/ppg_info/parachute_landing_fall.html Of course, continue to work on flaring at the right time but if you know how to execute a solid PLF, then you'll have it at your disposal when you feel like you're about to crater in. Don't give up jumping if you enjoy it. It would be like giving up driving because you can't parallel park. There's more than one way to park a car. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Thanks for all the replies and input! I'll watch the new one more closely next time I jump and let you know the results. I still have the original so I might jump with it in my pocket to compare them and see if there's a difference. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Thanks for the info on the boogie. I'll have to look into it but don't think I'll have my A by then. No jumping for the next two weeks because of this weekend's crappy weather outlook and I'm single parent next weekend while the wife's out of town. And, yes, I did bring beer. Picked it up on the way to the DZ in the morning. I figured it was important to follow the rules being the new-guy and all. Bad thing is I couldn't stick around to help with the post-jumping consumption. Next time i will. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

I have 4 jumps on a L&B VISO and all 4 are showing the incorrect exit altitude. Anyone else have this problem? I compared it to other analog altimeters in the plane and it was a match there. I also checked it right before exit on my last jump with it, showed 13.8 but later on the ground, the log showed 12.2 for exit altitude. Deployment altitude was correct and it showed 0 when I landed. I did contact L&B who said that this isn't normal for the VISO so I wanted to pick some brains of other VISO users. I returned it and already received a replacement that I haven't jumped yet but I'm wondering if I'm going to see the same thing. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!

Been lurking around here for a few weeks and figure it's time to formally say hello. I just finished AFF at Skydive Atlanta on Saturday this past weekend and did an 8th jump for fun. I have 5 static-line jumps from a long time before I finally did AFF this winter. I can't believe I waited so long to finally take the AFF course but am so glad I did. Now, jumping is consuming my every thought! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and jumping much, much more in the years to come! I've enjoyed reading all of your posts so far and have learned a lot of great things to do and things to stay away from. Andy I'll believe it when I see it on YouTube!
