Dropzone.com contingent-WFFC 2004-The List #2, updated
Snowwhite replied to RevJim's topic in The Bonfire
Hey guys, somebody accidentally pulled up the 2004 list, can this be changed (added) to the 2005 list. It gets SSSOOOOO confusing..... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com -
Fred, lots of skydivers come with gear they have rented from their own DZ's. (My husband included) There are demo opportunities, and the occasional loan. But try to line something up in advance if possible, it will make your life easier. Come with or without a rig, you will have a blast and meet and see lots of new things! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Thanks Mar, you really have always had that 'free fall' attitude. I am amazed at the 'it's all about money' conversation. I've watched people pour 6.90 worth of beer on each other day after day! I have remarked to Don before that because we take the time to make the WFFC LOOK like a million bucks with a really CLASSY boogie, people assume we MAKE a million bucks. Gotta tell ya, you need to price a band, multiply it by 10, add about a couple hundred kegs of beer, pay for a bunch of garbage removal (twice a day! who lives in a city that does THAT!) pay a few tens of thousands of dollars worth of jet a bills, pay for LOTS of shuttles, trucks, golf carts, and WOW build a 200x200 pond and fill it with city water, provide FREE load organizers under FREE packing tents with FREE showers and pretty soon you too can be like Don Kirlin. He has said it well when he told me ( and a couple of hundred people who were drinking free beer) His comment was "I can tell you how to make a small fortune in skydiving,,,,,first you start with a LARGE fortune....." I thank Don every year for inviting me on his vacation, cuz that is what he is doing by having me at the Convention. I help organize it, I help run it, I cry when the weather is bad, cuz my friends are not in the air where they belong. I rejoice when I hear "WOOO HOOO!!" being yelled at me from 600 feet! When someone tells me something is bothering them that we can fix, you bet we will work our a$$e$ off to fix it. We love listening to the stories that people tell about "the first time I came to the WFFC" or some other such thing. When someone tells me they can't come for whatever reason, I am sad, but when that happens usually the phone rings and it's someone new coming this year for the first time! So this will be the someone new who has a wonderful story to share with me at the end of the WFFC, when I finally can slow down enough to listen to it. I look forward to taking my vacation every year to work in 100 degree heat for 27 days (yea, everyday I can take off goes to the WFFC, and not just me,, there are ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SIX volunteers) just so I can hear a great story at the end of it all. So look me up you newbie, you, and let me know how much you enjoyed the WFFC! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Yep, that's what we're hearing here in the office anyway! Some people take a break for a year, and other faces fill in for the first time that same year, so the crowd changes but the family is still here. I know that the excitement we hear on the phones is great, and despite this rather dour thread, most of the threads on dz.com are very up. One of my favorite (and I don't know how to clicky) was a terrific post by Lew last year about " the WFFC is" and everything she (and everyone else) said was RIGHT ON. Meeting new friends, seeing old friends. Sharing great air time, and bringing home tremendous memories. See you in August, except you RevJim, see YOU in July so you can help set up this puppy! skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

thanks for your sacrifice Rosa. And tell him the same. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

I agree with almost everything that Duece has said here, obviously Duece has expert medical knowledge. One thing that I would suggest tho, is this. The reason that the eye fell out in the first place is the incorrect size of the eye in relationship to the socket. I have found that a small adjustment in the difference can simply be made by slipping the eye into a condom, and then placing the partially rolled up condom with the eye inside BACK into the eye socket. VIOLA! Safe socket. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Now some of that could work. I'll have to chat with Beth and see what can be set up one night in the big top

But for extra points, three people must stay IN the golf cart, while it rolls over at least two others... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Shameless bump.... skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

Yep..........I have been "fat" all my adult life. No matter how much I have worked out I never cut back on the eating ENOUGH to get the wash board abs. I believe I do have QUITE a slow metabolism but that's my problem. Of course........I'm talking I have never been more than 15-20Lbs MAX overweight. I'm no 300Lb blob of chewed bubble gum. The 'lady' who lives next door to me is about 5 feet tall. She's 300 pounds EASY, and lives on a disability. Yea, of course she had a heart attack. Even in as good shape as I am in, I couldn't carry around an extra 150 pounds all day every day.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com

As for me, should I find myself staring, I try to stare with the utmost dignity and respect (basically means I don't drool). >>>>>>>>MUCH

honestly, if i had free jumps. i would JUMP my ass of to better myself, skill wise, as a skydiver. then i could easily pass the knowledge down..... but that is self centered Well, I am giving away this jump, just to see somebody love it. That's pretty self-centered, too, but I announced it on the www.freefall.com webpage, so we'll see if there are any takers.. skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
