Telephones are usually cleaned as well. Most housekeeping staffs in hotels "never" clean the remote controls or switches in the rooms. Carpets are cleaned quarterly but still hold an incredible amount of dirt. If you want to gross yourself out once go into a hotel room with the light out and carry a black light. Especially over the bedspread.

As you get older the hangovers get worse and worse.

What if the packer also owns the dz Phree?

0:1:2 Winds were in excess of 20 mph today but I did get one interesting jump in. We did a two way sit. (I am stable now Clay!). We were the last out and we waited 12 seconds between exits because the winds at altitude were 50 mph. Our scheduled breakoff was at 5k but the guy I jumped with had his visor come up on his Z1 so he went to belly and was right above me. Needless to say I started tracking away from him, he deployed and I finally did at about 2,8k. I was quite aways from the dz so I rode my rear risers going downwind towards the dz and I made a dumb decision. (Hate Those.) Instead of landing off I decided that if I kept heading towards the dz I would make it but it would be a downwind landing. I was screaming along about 50 mph downwind and basically swooped the whole damn landing area and plf'd it! As I walked back to the hanger I noticed everyone was staring at me. I got a couple of "nice landing". The students thought it was very impressive. Later I apologised to the head instructor and she laughed and said "at least you realize your stupidity!" I owe beer for the first jump at Skydive Orange and that stupid decision!

Anytime a dz packer makes a mistake and doesn't do something like cock the pilot chute you should not have to pay for the repack in my mind. I know just about every dz I have been to has the same philosphy.

In was gonna say in the other thread that it's no wonder you freefly because you must fall like a rock no matter what position your in. I jumped with a big guy like you one time and as soon as the four way rw left the plane we all just looked at this gut in amazement. He was out of sight immediately.

I just completed a review on the "most unsanitary item in a hotel guest room". What do you think it was? It will probably surprise you.

Hell no you are not wrong Lisa. This chat is a form of entertainment for each of us that allows us to laugh, get to know other skydivers, and be able to ask skydiving related questions to our peers for feedback. Because of the different ages of the participants and the fact that "most" of us are single there will be jokes and phrases we use that are meant to make people laugh and have a good time. I know that I for one feel much more comfortable telling things over a chat where nobody really knows you. I know I would not be as direct if I was sitting amongst you all. I would say the things I say in a laughing manner to make someone feel comfortable and have a good time. Should you be more conservative over the chats? I don't think so. If someone truely believes that all the things said during this is true, they are living in a fantasy world. As for as e-mails being sent around with exerpts from the chat, this is stupid. It would be like printing out the chat room so you can read it all week. Who has time or even wants to do that. The thing about a chat room is it is in the moment and we are all just being fun and having a good time. If you were not able to make the chat, your loss. Why do you want to gossip about it? Get a life.

I have become a whore. I know. I used to be a jumping whore but the weather in the north slowed me down. Plus like so many other people here I have a PC and a Lap Top on my desk at work. The Lap Top is generally on dz.com all day so I have some sort of entertainment. It's better than porno sites.
