  1. How many jumps do you need to fly a Wing Suit? What are the procedures for deployment / "the cutaway" I hear about? What are the speeds of the average Wing Suit Skydive? ..and please answer any question I forgot to ask! Kachink, ChromeBoy
  2. I would do the opposite because my main is larger than my reserve. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  3. P9 is a Military baton. But that has nothing to do with a parachute. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  4. The only thing I found aviation related was a P9 cargo crate for a DC-10. I doubt that is it. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  5. Bill, At 4,000 feet I would open my main. Because you can always cutaway and your chances of being feet to earth or somewhere close to this is better than being on your back if you have a main malfunction. By "dire" low I was referring to below 2000 feet agl. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  6. I second that Quade. And if I were "dire" low and could not get to my back I would go for the reserve so my cypres would not fire...don't want two canopies. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  7. There is nothing more tragic than the loss of a child. I for one have not had that experience but have cared for friends who have. I have had a traumatic loss in my life. My mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was sixteen. Being a Moma's boy I went back and forth to the hospital with her for her treatments. I spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in the hospital with her while she was dying. On Christmas night we stayed at the hospital all night with her. She died early the next morning in our arms. This was traumatic but it made me stronger and made me realize that life is short so you have to make the most of it. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  8. Chuck, Thanks for the replying to my private message in the column. It is not only important to understand the basics of swooping but understand the safety aspect as well. In todays day and age it is not the sport that is dangerous but the canopy pilot.
  9. Thanks guys. Kachink, ChromeBoy
  10. This is a new to freeflying question but I want to begin practing freeflying but all I have is a RW suit and I do not have the $ to get a new suit yet plus it is too cold up here right now to fly without one. Even with two layers on. Would sitflying with a RW suit on make it harder to learn because of the grips or would it not make much of a difference. Thanks, ChromeBoy "Psycho Monkey"
  11. PhreeZone, Can you describe the planing out portion again by describing where your toggles are approximately located at each point. And what do you need to do to get airlift at the end. I am not talking about any extreme canopy I am asking for a Sabre 2 for example. Thanks, ChromeBoy "Psycho Monkey"
  12. After you let the risers back up 5 feet off the ground, what flare sequence do you use to gain the most out of the swoop. I know you have to feel it but can anyone describe how they ensure they do not bounce? ChromeBoy "Psycho Monkey"
