    I've been a part of a few proposals/weddings. They are a blast! One of the best was last year. I got the "bride to be", and the groom had arranged for an enormous sign to be laid out in the landing area after we took off. I spent most of the canopy time keeping us pointed away from the landing area and when I did turn in at around 1000agl, she notice the tarp and asked what it was. I said I didn't know. A few moments later she says "There are words on it." I asked what is said pretending to be distracted with flying the parachute. She started to read it to me, and halfway through she got real quiet and I could feel her start shaking. I swooped across the sign, landed her standing in front of the groom (on his knee) and the family and disconnected the harness fast. Good thing I did as she practically tacked him with a giant hug! Makes a fun time just that much better! ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    Why? It does what's advertised, evening the bias more so than any other PC on the market. I'll agree that I don't find the benefit to outweigh the added cost, but that's just my opinion. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    As a former instructor I appreciated tips from wuffos, and usually accepted them, but have refused tips from skydivers and regular tunnel flyers as they are now part of the "family". ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    Brake settings are different for not only different types of canopies, but different sizes as well. It's often a balancing act between soft openings and predictable openings, sometimes other factors as well. Having a deeper brake setting can often promote a more symmetrical inflation but speed the opening as well. No setting at all on a modern 9 cell will often enable a canopy to snivel but the inflation may be prone to be less symmetrical. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are.     Eh, I disagree somewhat. The cannot have a rigger violated for performing such work. They can legally prevent riggers from doing work without authorization by not disclosing the instructions on how to do the work, or by not providing proprietary materials/parts to complete said work.
