    There is nothing "new" about the rule at SDAZ other than the fact it's full time rather than event oriented. But since they had a complete lack of interest in enforcing the rule durring events, I suspect that this too will fail in time. It also doesn't address the real issue.     Steve, in order to train a competent canopy pilot, the instructor should have some competence in the area. Currently there is no requirement to demonstrate that skill to become an AFF instructor. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    Not true, the situations are in no way similar. People are still allowed to wingsuit at Perris, they have been specificaly forbiden to do high performance turns at SDAZ. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

    SDAZ has effectivly given anyone who wants to practice high perfomance canopy flight the boot. "When can we do a 270?" "On Tuesdays, with full moons, after 6:30, only if there is no one else jumping that day." "Oh wait, it's not economicly viable. Go get in the bus with the Style and Accuracy freaks."     Coming from you I am disappointed. We are only as safe as we enforce ourselves to be no matter if at a boogie or at a weekend jumping. If anyone honestly believes that then you guys are shallow. So what if a boogie isn't the place for swoopers to spped through traffic on a big way? Can't you do that at most any DZ on a regular weekend. What is wrong with adapting to the safe crowd for a few jumps? Doesn't kill ya at least. End rant...this mentality has to stop though or the deaths will continue. What mentality, dear?
