How can he have "broad support" if the split is much closer to 50/50. Personally I don't find anything wrong with an election won by a single vote. That's the way it should work. Presidential race aside, I never had much passion for deciding against the lesser of two evils, what about the other issues around the country that have asked for the people's voice to be heard? Is there enlightenment and equality for all to be seen on the future horizon, or is it going to be fear, resentment, and the Big Brother? Some of the issues: Looks like Gay Marriage is going to feel another set back, CA looks a little to close to call it yet, but Arizona(102) and Florida(2) sure seem to have taken a step back in recognizing all people as equals. And Arkansas(1) seems to think an even ratio of penis to vagina in a couple is what it takes to make a good parent. They must have a shortage of children in orphanages and foster homes or something. Speaking of vaginas, the owners of them, and their rights to do as they please with them and the bodies they're supported by......Colorado(48) seems to be confirming that a woman has the rights to her own body rather than the state, and South Dakota(11), while less enlightened, looks like they might just stay in the modern age. Nebraska(424) seems to think Affirmative Action has run it's course and can be put away, but in Colorado(46) it's tight race. Of course with the regression shown in the results on the Gay Marriage Initiatives there may be a new need for it. And while the hopefuls in Massachusetts(Q1) look like they'll have their hopes of repealing state income tax dashed, they can all move to Washington(1000) and start selecting their Dr. of choice in an effort to "take it all with them." ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. I'd argue otherwise. The Electoral system allows candidates to overlook vast regions in order to secure more populated areas. Look at the breakdown by counties in individual states for the example. What harm is there served by the popular vote? The time has long been past, where a popular vote, one in which EVERY individuals voice in the choosing of our president is heard.
