I woke up today early as usual and though to myself I am going to set a personal jump record of 10 jumps in a day when my DZ opens. The whole situation right from day one always sounded funny to me. Drunk skydivers going up in a plane and jumping. A mid air collision that resulted in death and an attempted coverup. Please, is what I was thinking. As skydivers we are fun loving people and love to party but when we go up the first thing on our mind is safety. The whole situation seemed to indicate that these people were out to cause an accident and anyone in the sport knows that that just would not have been the case. Another example of looking in from the outside. If you don't wanna be in the sport that is fine but if something happens don't try to make it look bad and look for untruths. Actually no it isn't. On the 10 O cock news last night they were saying how bush was going around gathering support from catholics and actively promoting it. I guess the irish parade that he attended could be a branch of that but this was more out there with his messege. Again I feel that he should just think about the implications of waging war on a country that thinks this is a war on religion while at the same time preeching his own. It is very bad to be promoitng it all over the states when right now the muslums seem to think that he is out to get them. From thier perspective I can very easily see them using this to further fuel their belief that this is now another reason to continue their jihad. ( holy war ). Bush is not a smart guy in my opinion and this is just added coal to the fire. He should keep his religious beliefs to himself. I was watching the news last night and heard that Pres Bush is actively promoting christianty. I understand that he wants their votes next time election rolls around but is this really the best thing to be doing with the issues facing isreal and pakisan? I have only 20 jumps but know exactly what you mean when you say you are nervous about your second jump. My advice is that which was given to me when I was doing my AFF. Stay calm do what the instructors tell you and relax. Make sure you brin beer too. Is there anyone else up at this hour? Being up at 6 am reminds me of the time I jumped at sunrise. It was just like a sunset load but you could see the sun encompasing the land slowly but surely. You plan is as devious as mine and I thank you for your suggestion. However my company has the resources and talent to pull off the mods ourselves. The "issues" you suggested are exactly what we had in mind. Jus tsomething minor and this way it would never leave the office. I do like the fact that you were volenteering to help out though. I love the web sites and all the movies. What I need is to be in a big way to settle all of my deams. Although the web sites help I need to get out to my DZ this weekend even though we are not open for jumping to help hutch with the plane. Maybe he can give me some pointers on how to stay safe inthe big ways. For now though, i'm going to watch drop zone. Need my fix. Went to dave's FTP site and got all the movies that he had. All of them down to the last byte. I have to get back to the DZ or I am going to lose it. This addiction is like a drug that needs to be fed or I will die from starvation. The movies are a temp high but nothing will fix me up like a good 10,000 footer. I'm sure you have all seen that Unix commercial when the cops come in the building and think that all the servers have been stolen because they have an ignorant boss. Well we are playing with the idea of bringing in our own equipment and causing a crash. This will get us in trouble of course but all will be well when he see's that we can bring it all back. This was my idea however nastly you all think it is sometimes you have to take certain steps to prove your point. I just hope well the shit hits the fan that I still have a job.
