That's OK.... No need to touch it, the RSL/Skyhook/AAD will take care of it... how will the RSL or skyhook work with no main out? He did say AAD can handle it "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Well here's ours. Not quite as cool as that one though. I think you should put yours in his... Just saying "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Now that, sir, is a fantastical idea. Apparently I work for cookies... Might work for you too. "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Who's going to stop someone from ordering a whole spool of it on paragear and pencil packing their own reserve? I dont know, it just seems like there must be a better way than having something that can potentially cause a major problem. Maybe the USPA should have a central database for all riggers to update. Using the serial number from the rig and reserve, they send a simple email to a database admin that works at the USPA and they update it. Just a thought.... Skydivers aren't the only ones that use emergency parachutes. So it would have to go and be mandated by the FAA for ALL emergency packs, then you have to get all the riggers out there (who, may not have internet) to go on a website and post info about their packjobs... and what happens when you go to a new DZ and the internet is out, so they can't check the repack certification? The current system works pretty well for keeping people honest... I believe this is the method that Terry is using (and is what I was taught) I don't see a way that it could lock the container closed, once the pin is out, the seal is no longer held near the loop, no matter which part breaks. Thats exactly how the riggers I've been working with taught me how to seal it. One would think that even if you did put the leg through the loop, it will still feed through when the pin is pulled but hey... It will give me something to screw around with today. Are you talking about while its still over the shoulder? I would assume its just to keep the lines on the tail from rolling over infront of the nose... That does not sound like a psycho hybrid, thats just a psycho pack "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

What I did was to go to the sunpath site were you can design container colors. I then took my camera and took a picture of the screen. Design another container and took picture. After I had a bunch of designs, I downloaded the container pictures to the computer and could easily look at all the designs without being online. Or, you could just screenshot it ;-) take the middle man out of the picture. +1 Ummmm. Yah. If I was followed out to my car, and a gun was pulled on me- the outcome might have been different. I am going to assume any gun pulled on me(except by an LEO) is a threat on my life. Although, I'm sure the police would probably be interested in someone carrying a firearm on govt property. Ahh, didn't notice you were testing the main one... Does the reserve SLINK make any difference in that configuration? "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

It LOOKS like thats a main SLINK, is that correct? "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

its a neat concept but i would never put or buy a rig with magnets on it because magnets and electronics do not work well together Did ya miss the part where Bill Booth talks about using magnets on his vectors? They have put magnets directly on digital altimeters and every day they check the data, with no loss. IIRC its about the same strength magnet as in the vectors riser covers (feels about the same to me) and he said those wont even damage digital video on tape media in most cases (if not all) "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Link. I saw it while watching the football (well, hand-egg) game too. It looks like the weight pushed the dome down, then the snow fell into the dip, overloaded and tore the roof. Wow. That isn't going to be cheap to fix. Although I bet there are one or two on here who have the skills and equipment to sew it One of the guys on Fox Football said it looked like a James Cameron movie.

It was a newer 175. So younger and lighter... how did you expect that to turn out? "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

Funny you should mention that... The first two jumps on my sweetheart Tri 190 after I bought the second canopy were: 1. Very hard slammer 2. Massive line twists with cutaway. Triathlons just don't DO that. I had to sweet talk her for a month before she was convinced that she was still first in my heart. We're all good now. Shouldn't have bought another Tri 190... she thought you were trying to replace her with her twin. Would love to hear a rigger's opinion on this. I too, have a 2-pin cutter on a 1-pin container, with one of the cutters safely tucked away. As for putting two cutters on one closing loop, if they fire slightly out of sequence, you could be looking at a similar pinching effect to that that was hypothesized in the recent Argus Fatality in Poland due to the lack of tension on the closing loop? Or am I talking bullshit? I think it would completely defeat the purpose if the top cutter just pinches the loop. Besides, where are you going to find a rigger to pack it like that? BTW: The Eagle container has 2 pins as well. Actually, I am changing my vote. Demeris loaded baked potato... If you're in the Houston area and haven't had the 5ish lb artery clogging work of art, you're missing out! I don't know that Mirage lied about that...I would say they are just guilty of omission. The Micron is a sexy rig. I have one of each They cancelled each other, didnt they? Yes Luckily you got the girl first. My rigs dont seem to mind each other... I tell you, when I picked up that other girl, and they found out about each other... that didnt go so well.
