Those 500/400 SSPA's don't come cheap!! These weren't SSPA's, I replaced 4, yes FOUR TWTA's (60-70k each) because they didn't take the few hours to degass them. Not to mention a couple up/down converters, 3 each of 3k UPS that they burned up because they didn't check the generator output before they plugged them in, had to completely re-wire the CMA system so they could atleast turn the high voltage on without going outside... (damn sissies couldn't walk out and flip a switch) Same guys that had their polarization off 90* and wondered why it wasn't working well... I've had to replace parts on a $1.8Mil dish totaling about that much because the guys operating it, just didn't give a shit about how they're suppossed to operate it... they just tried to 'turn it on'... its not directv. You can call the department and ask a patrol supervisor what became of the call, but unless the people involved killed a busload of disabled orphan kids from Canada or kidnapped a hot-rich-preppy-white-chick, you won't see it in the news. The media just doesn't care, even though the public does. 99% of the calls and arrests and important things like possible burglars in a neighborhood isn't reported in the media. If you've programmed before, you can do it again! I started off with basic (ya know, '10 print Hello' type shit) move to quickbasic, then html, javascript, borland C++, AutoIT (easiest one ever, btw) and been working with VB.net. Just sayin, not everyone can code, but once you can, you just have to knock off the dust and it'll come back.
