  1. yo mean northern Mexico? When did Old Mexico re-take the Western U.S? This isn't another one of those thoughts that all of us should go back to Europe, Asia and Africa is it? Chuck
  2. I'm glad you ended up visiting the Alamo and I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I've been a few times over the past 15 years or so and I look forward to going again. Then again, I'm a history guy, I love studying history and I know that's weird. You too? I especially enjoy Texas history and history of the Western U.S. Chuck
  3. If, I recall correctly, that was 're-claimed' oil. Processed drain oil. A buddy of mine used that oil in his '56 T-bird! Anyone remember 'Silver Certificates'? Chuck
  4. I'll take a wild guess and say no. If, a person is absolutely certain a person is here in this country illegally, I'd say, call Border Patrol and let them sort it out. 'Assuming' someone is here illegally and attempting to detain them for authorities is not a good idea. Let Border Patrol handle things. That's why they make the big bucks. Chuck
  5. I still get a little choked-up whenever I visit The Alamo. It's changed a lot over the years, since my first visit when I was 11-yrs. old. A great reminder of those who died for Texas independence. Chuck
  6. I'd have to agree with Joe,looks like the hind leg of a deer. Chuck
  7. There's many of us still wear hats. Chuck
  8. 'Captain Midnight' and 'Tom Corbett Space Cadets' Chuck

  11. Just another good reason to stay the hell out of Old Mexico! Do hope, your friend's young'uns are o.k.!? Chuck
  12. It's a reference to a 'sexual activity'. Usually involving one female and several males. Chuck
  13. My second rig was 'lightly used' Vector-I with 'quick ejects'. I thought it was a good looking rig and much better than the old 'Classiflier' I had been jumping. The first week-end I walked into the hangar, with my new gear, at the DZ, someone yelled out 'NEW GEAR'! Then came a big gasp and a hush fell over the hangar. One of the guys said; 'OH NO... quick ejects! I though what the hell? Then came all the ugly war stories about people falling out of their gear because of quick ejects. I jumped the rig and never had a problem. I just made sure, they were snapped properly. Chuck
  14. I found I'm happier when I let nothing bother me...especially politicians. Honestly, I don't know wtf you people are bitching about anymore. Stop relying on the government and take responsibility for yourselves...ride free. There ya' go! Too many people bitchin' about too much government involvement in their lives yet, they want the government to take care of them. Where's that good ol' American 'self-sufficient' attitude we used to have? Chuck
  15. The news story from CNN doesn't say anything substantial. All we know is, an un-armed youth was shot and killed by a Neighborhood Watch member. There's no more information than people calling 911 and anxiously telliong the operator someone was shot or they heard a shot. This is a typical media 'where's the beef' story. All we can do is sit-back and wait for some real information. Till then, we got nothin'. Chuck
  16. +1 When it's not on we rent episodes from VuDu. Also the reality series on Buffalo Air. Don't remember the name...ice pilots maybe TBS shows re-runs of Big Bang Theory. TBS shows them 3 nights a week with back to back to back episodes. I don't know how they found the cast but they sure hit a home run with them. Chuck
  17. ...and 'gang bang' meant something entirely different than today. Chuck
  18. You're right! We are 'old farts'! Chuck
  19. Spoken word? If you remember 2 (or more) 'sides' on a single records (parallel groves) (I can think of 2 examples , 1st Monty Pythion and 2nd was a Horse race game with different outcomes on each track .... ***K I feel old) Originlly, the 16-RPM was to be played in Chrysler automobiles. Later, they were used for special recordings for the blind. I had a 45-rpm with 2 recordings per side. It was Gospel songs sung by Elvis Presley. Chuck
