What chaps my ass is; there's 3-cars ahead of me at the bank drive-up. The line I'm in moves slowly. Finally, the car ahead is at the vacuum tube. I figure, this'll just take a minute and I'm next! Hell no! The dumb-ass just ahead of me had to wait till it was their turn, to make-out their deposit/withdrawal slip! Chuck

He has lived all of his life in Tijuana (I hope I spelled that correctly) ______________________________ Yup, you sure did spell it correctly! It used to be 'Tia Juana' (Aunt Jane)

This one is funny! Was that from personal experience.. and was she a skydiver? I want to paint our ceilings blue someday too! -Karen ___________________________________ Yes and No. Things were on a down-hill slide anyhow. That'd be cool! and paint puffy blue clouds. Kinda serene. Chuck

When I thought I was going to try to get work on that film, a buddy and I snuck out and checked out the sets being built. They were MASSIVE. Actually, I believe they're still standing. I ended up not pursuing that film very seriously because I got a better offer (which later fell through), but my buddy got on it. HERE are some photos we took the day we snuck out there. They really don't do justice to the massive size of the set. ____________________________________ Have you ever seen the set at Bracketville, where John Wayne filmed his version of the 'Alamo'? That's pretty neat! Chuck

_____________________________ Quite true. I feel quite certain we are not the only nation that does that. There are a lot of things we are not aware of that happen in our government. The 'right to know' law isn't wholly honest either. Hey, it's government! Chuck

Is her anecdotal evidence what you are basing your statement on or do you have something more substancial? U.S. law does not allow an illegal to join the military. They must at least have a Green Card and be a permanent resident. I'm surprised I've never heard your claim before. _________________________________________ I heard basically the same thing on television news. It's true. This has been one of the means of getting troops without a Selective Service system (Draft). Citizenship for service in the armed forces of the United States. Chuck

Thank you, for what you've said. I like hearing the other side of the story. I helps my understanding. Chuck

_______________________________________ You didn't have to do that but, I appreciate your clarifying things. I was just curious. Unfortunately, I understand what you're saying about U.S. Customs officers of Mexican descent. I've observed it. I've been in Mexican Border towns, usually, for a meal with friends. Tecate, Matamoros and good ol' TJ. That was when I saw the difference in treatment of border crossers. So, You've been reading our version of things in this thread. What are some of your thoughts? I'm trying to 'communicate' here. All the best to you. Chuck

By your profile, you list San Ysidro as your 'home' and Mexico, as your country. My last recollection was that, San Ysidro is in San Diego County, California... USA!? I do know, there've been shots fired from the Mexican side of the Rio Grande into Texas and some folks on this side have died as a result. This has happened in recent years. Chuck

You're right, it does deserve attention. Thank you, Mr. Chibitty. Be with God. Chuck
