I honestly thought they'd do it tonight and sure enough, they did it... and in the cards old home too! I hope the Astros take it this year. Would be great for Clemens. __________________________________ After Monday night, I had a real strong feeling, the 'stros would come back in fine fashion. I got a hunch, Roger Clemens, will retire after the WS. I'm tickled silly for the Astros. It's been a looooong struggle. They couldn't have gone-up against a better team than the Cards. And this is why I love baseball. It is just in my blood. Even if I am a cubs fan. I love to visit other cities and go to random baseball games...regardless of who's playing. THAT is fun. just to enjoy the game and the ballpark. ____________________________________________ I'm the same way! It's a great game. I think, one of my biggest thrills in life, was watching Nolan Ryan pitch! Besides that, he's a heckuva good guy. There is nothing wrong with being a Cubbys fan! The Cubs, have had some pretty good players, over the years. Ryne Sandburg, I enjoyed watching him and the rest of the Cubs play ball. Sitting in the stands, along the 3rd. base line, sippin' a cold brew and chompin' on a hot dog, watching your favorite team. It's baseball! Chuck

A lady interviewer, approached Roger Clemens to get his 'feelings' about the game. Roger, said very little and grabbed the game winner, Blake and told the interviewer that she needed to talk to him. He then, walked away, leaving it for the young guy. Roger Clemens, could've grabbed the spotlight one more time but, he gave it to the kid! That, is nothing more than CLASS! That, speaks a lot, for Roger Clemens. Not to mention the Astros! Chuck No denying Roger Clemens is a class act... a real Hero! ___________________________________________ It was players that like Roger Clemens, that I grew-up reading about. One of my very favorite players, though not an Astro, was Ozzie Smith of the Cards! He, was a neat guy! Damned good short-stop, too! Al Kaline (years ago) of the Tigers and a whole bunch more. That's just the way baseball has been. Yeah, sure! We've seen a few 'duds' over the years but, we never forget the really good players. Chuck
