  1. What did you expect? I was hoping someone could cough up lung more pun. S'lami explain it to you. No butts about it... this is a mystery and someone needs to get to the heart of the matter! Chuck I think the answer may be in the appendix of the article. Ass-uming that is true, I will eyeball it for myself. I wouldn't want to see you have to shoulder it on your own. Chuck It is very much time for a gut check on this one. Armed with that information, we are groin to have to do our due diligence. Chuck Probably going to cost an arm and a leg. Maybe even a spleen and a lung. Probably the only way to foot the bill! Chuck You kneed it in the groin with that one. Seems like we've been goin' toe to toe on this one. Butt, I just don't want to be cheeky about it. Chuck Eye can see your point. I'm going on ahead here, and I'll go out on a limb by saying that if you had his spine, this wouldn't be such a waist of time. It's getting difficult to digest at all. I wouldn't take it too much to heart, M.R. is just being a smart ass. No, I really wasn't trying to be a smart ass. I was just trying to stay ahead but I run out of gas. Chuck Back up a little - Urine my way! Well... poop! Chuck

  10. Do you REALLY believe this only started in January 2009? If so, I have a very nice bridge for sale, cheap. Started earlier. But it sure as hell has been perfected. It's pretty unfortunate that "blame Bush" doesn't work when the present administration is doing it. It just sucked when Bush did it, right? Nowadays, it's being overseen by a dude with a Nobel Peace Prize! He's doing it for you and me. And if people like Merckel don't know what's good for her abd her country, then there's nothing we can do about that. J. Edgar Hoover started it, spying on Hollywood types and the Kennedy's! How can we ever forget him? Chuck
  11. ***Yeah, you've got more people in total. I'd be interested to see the figures as a percentage, I guess the US would top out there as well. What's interesting is when you look at countries such as Switzerland where every household has military weapons in the house - that country is armed to the teeth as they do indeed have a militia style military. But they don't have school, mall and cinema shootings like you do in the US..... I love America and Americans, it's a great place (especially Vegas ) and I have family over there. But, I think there is something quite fucked up in the general culture and mentality that causes people to go nuts and kill people cos they got fired or they weren't the popular kids at school. There's a strong culture of violence in your nation - most of your movies essentially promote violence as an effective way to deal with problems. When someone hurts you, even by accident, you sue them. It's a very "fuck you" mentality, a very "us" and "them" theme running through your social and political discourse. I've never seen such hatred between two people just because they are on different sides of the spectrum politically. It seems people cease to become a human being and just become a label like "republican" or "democrat" or "liberal". It's very easy to hurt someone when you don't view them as a person but as a one-dimensional label. That's the problem in my humble opinion. Not the gun. I'd have to agree with you. We push violent films and video games. For instance, the 13-yr. old who recently stole his dad's car. The kid wrecked a police vehicle with his dad's car. When asked about it, later, the kid replied that he wanted to play 'Grand Theft Auto', for real. I think, a person sees enough violence in movies and etc., it has to have some effect on that person. 12. Air soft guns have the orange tip, pellet guns don't. At least in this part of the country. My grandkids have both. It must be a state to state thing. In the news articles I've read on this matter, the gun the kid had was referred to as a 'replica gun' that was supposed to have the orange ends. Bottom line is, the kid's dad or someone in the family should have instructed him in the proper care and handling of a gun. Chuck
  13. You were both blessed in knowing each other. Chuck
  14. To me, there is no such thing as a toy gun, and I don't feel I stole any part of my kids' childhood by making them treat toy guns like the real thing. Like my granddaughter, my kids grew up shooting at an early age. One is a "pistol packing momma". I like this sentiment. All guns are capable of being used to kill. Even the ones that can't shoot. You wouldn't intuitively think you could kill yourself with a plastic toy gun, but you would be wrong. This kid proved that. Like Masterrig said though, when you allow guns to proliferate so much you have to expect cops to shoot first, and never ask questions. If there were only a million guns floating around instead of 300 million I could see a better case for the cops waiting another 3 seconds to see if it was an actual weapon or not. In that 3-seconds, that cop could be dead! The description of the guns the kid had on him, the orange ends on both had been removed. Why? Did the kid want it to look real? If so, he accomplished that. Was the kid just messin' with the cops? We'll never know. All in all, the kid did the wrong thing. He should've dropped the gun like he was told. I feel bad for both the kid's family and friends as well as the cops and their families and friends. It's a painful situation. An eye witness stated that he could not tell if the subject was a kid or not. the eye witness was in close proximity of the incident, also. According to a news report. Chuck

  16. As I understand it, that part of their training. Original gangsters get out of prison and return to their gang and they are astounded at how so many kids are in and running gangs and have itchy trigger fingers. Quick to shoot. With that in mind, it makes it more difficult for police. Are cops supposed to wait until one of theirs is killed because they waited to see if the weapon pointed at them is real or a fake? There is a whole different world out there. It's sad this incident happened but the way things are some folks bring it on themselves. Chuck
  17. I agree! This shows a picture of the 'pellet gun' the kid carried. At several feet away, it would be difficult to determine for sure if it's real or not. Someone points a weapon at a peace officer, they will respond in kind. http://home.myhughesnet.com/news/read/category/Top%20News/article/ap-calif_sheriffs_deputies_shoot_kill_13yea-ap-2 Chuck
  18. So sorry to hear about you dear friend. Seems like it's always the good one's. Be safe in your travels. Chuck
  19. Yes it is a shitty situation. Especially for those deputies and family of the kid. Chuck
  20. The story I read stated that the kid was told o drop it. Rather than dropping it, raised it and pointed it in the direction of deputies. That was when the deputies opened fire, The kid should've done what he was told. http://home.myhughesnet.com/news/read/category/Top%20News/article/ap-calif_sheriffs_deputies_shoot_kill_13yea-ap Chuck
  21. Same old deal... deny, deny, deny! Even though this incident proves the nay sayers wrong. Chuck
  22. The way I see it, the guy who shot the guy with the rifle, saved lives. He defended innocent 3rd. parties. Good for him!!! Chuck
