Isn't it rather pointless to get all outraged about a 2.5 year old video about a bill that DIED years ago? Some idiots decided to put the video clip on the internet (again) this month and the righties get suckered in yet again. Right, you are! I guess, what I got riled-up about was just the idea of what politicians try to slide past us. I am glad though, that bill didn't make it through. Chuck

I really don't care which political group was behind this bill or who was president at the time. To me, politicians want those jobs to better themselves and their cronies. They might throw their constituants 'a bone' once in awhile just to keep them off their backs. Other than that, I don't believe any of them really give a tinker's damn about this country or the people who live here. Just their interests. As for illegals coming to this country, I've said it before and I'll say it again... if, they can't follow the 'rules' to become citizens, they can stay in their own country. Until this country really puts the clamps on illegal entrants into this country, we are going to have problems. It ain't your poor, friendly avocado picker sneaking into this country any more. It's gang members and 'wannabes' wanting 'in' on the lucrative drug trade here in the States. If, anyone thinks otherwise, they are kidding themselves. We need to drop the 'kid gloves' and put a stop to illegal entrants to this country... plain and simple! Maybe, when it really starts hitting every day citizens in this country in the wallet, they might wake-up. Chuck

I've done that too! It really works good when you do it in the aisle with the open-top freezers. The cold air seems to make it last longer. When I was a kid, I eased-out an SBD in church. I really couldn't help it. I sat looking straight ahead and when I heard people around me shifting in their pew seats, I gave the old guy sitting next to me a really ugly look. I think, it worked! Wish, i coulda' framed that one! Chuck

One day, my wife and I were in the grocery store. We were on one of the aisles checking-out products. I eased-out the nastiest, ugliest SBD... EVER! About that time, I eased around the corner toward another aisle and to safety. As I was rounding the corner, a little old lady entered the aisle from the other direction. My wife chastised me severely, later. Not so much for the SBD but the ugly look SHE got from the little old lady. Chuck

I would be happy with a simple pine box and my pillow. When my dad passed, several years ago, I asked the guy at the funeral home about a 'pine box'. My dad had always said to just bury him in a 'pine box'. The price tag on the 'pine box' the funeral home showed us was right-up there with the oak, mahogany, walnut and etc. We settled on the 'pine box'.

I absolutely agree with you! It sickened me to listen to the story on the news. The purpose for my post was to add a little about the gang influence in the area of the school and the possible fear of the security people to not want to go outside the building. The oldest suspect, who was 19 had dropped out of that school. I agree also, with those who would like to see swift, severe punishment for all involved... except the victim. There is such an increase in youth crime in this country as well as gang related crime, it's getting scarey. I don't see this as a 'one of a kind' incident. Chuck

The report I saw in regard to this incident stated, it was an after homecoming dance at Richmond High. The school is in the San Francisco area. They experience a 67% truancy rate and a lot of gang activity and crime. I have a suspicion, since the majority of security was inside the gymnasium, they were reluctant to patrol outside the schoolhouse itself. Chuck

As ridiculous as the 'concern' over the previously mentioned costume is, NOW, we have a 'Balloon Boy' costume! A Canadian company is making available, a 'Balloon Boy' costume... complete with inflatable balloon just like 'Balloon Boy's' and a cardboard box. The box is for either written questions or treats. Let's see how long it takes for someone to get riled-up over this one. Hee, hee... Chuck

Not very 'anonymous', after all. I live in West Texas and this story was all-over the local news then... nothing. The two nurses involved, felt they were doing the right thing in reporting their story to the State Medical Boardoard. I never have heard how, their 'anonimity' was revealed. They were told when they became nurses to reveal any 'improper' behavior on the part of members of their medical community. So much for trying to do the right thing! Chuck

I figured the term 'aggressive driver' would be self explanatory. The type driver I think of as 'aggressive' are those who speed and have no regard for other drivers on the road. That's just my opinion. Chuck

I can't say I'm an excellent driver nor a bad driver or an aggressive driver. I would say that I drive 'according to conditions and traffic'. I drive defensively... I'll put it that way. I drove big rigs for over 25-yrs. and I pay attention to what I'm doing while driving. I stay aware of my vehicle and I use the mirrors. I watch the highway far ahead as well as a close proximity to my vehicle. Old habits die hard. I think, there are more aggressive drivers on the highways today, more than ever before. I think too, it's the aggressive drivers who have more 'problems' while driving. Chuck

You or I or someone else might think it looks out of place on the officer but if, he's willing to take all the time to have his hair done that way... let him. I can recall a time when a police officer was reprimanded because his hair was a bit over his shirt collar. Chuck
