This "Holy War" is really just a symptom of the division with in the Muslim religion. The US is the only thing that unites them in any way. Common enemy. It is easy to hate the big boy on the block.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think that Al Qaeda and all the other affiliates are fighting the US mostly to keep them from influencing their respective countries with western thinking. So their "Holy War" is really a war on change. They really want all Muslims to fit their definition of what a true Muslim should be. So in the end Al Qaeda and their affiliates are really doomed, there is no way to stop change and they will never make every Muslim fit their definition. Even if they did force the US out of all Muslim countries then they would end up fighting amongst themselves over what a true Muslim is. Endless war. Is endless war justified?

How many people are there alive that were slaves at one time? Just because someones great great grand dad was a slave doesn't entitle them to anything. At least that is what I think.

I don't know if a WL BSR will solve that problem or not but I do think that everyone needs to think long and hard before making a new BSR. Will it really have the effect that is sought after?

I have been pondering( Yeah I think once in awhile) anyhow with all of the talk about wingloading BSR's and such this question has been running through my mind and I thought it would make a great thread. Do more rules make us safer skydivers and when is there enough rules?

yeah they sure do. I have they HC 20 in my FF2.

I have an HC 20 and I cut the handle off so it would fit in my FF2. My guess is it won't fit with the handle.

When and who in the News or anywhere did someone say that all Iraqi's are insurgents?

I just talked to a guy that just got back from Iraq 2 months ago last Sat. at the dropzone and he said that most of the insurgents he encountered turned out to not be Iraqi's. hmm maybe you weren't paying attention? I would like to see you quote someone in the News that stated all Iraqis are considered insurgents by the US Gov. I don't think you could.

hmmmm that doesn't make sense either. From what I have seen on TV and from people that I have talked to that were on leave from the military most of the Iraqi's are not a part of the insurgents. You say most not all right? I wonder why we call ALL of them insurgents See that is exactly what I am disputing. When has anyone called all Iraqi's insurgents? I have never seen that anywhere. From what I have read and seen on tv most of the insurgents are not from Iraq.

Christelsabine: I have found that very little of what you say makes any sense( and that has nothing to do with your english) but this makes the least amount of sense. Where did you get that the US considers all Iraqi's as insurgents?

I am not worried about that at all. Fear will keep skydiving from ever being that popular. Too many people view skydiving as a suicidal sport. Changing that is very unlikely. The fear of falling is the most basic human fear.

The original CYPRES did not have a life span either...Then it did. Electronics fail after long enough. How many out there have a 12 year old TV? They are gonna cost about the same even in the long haul as Terry explained. So, while the VIGIL may be slightly less expensive in both original purchuse and MX....It also does not have the 12 year history of CYPRES. Well I don't currently have an AAD and am not in a hurry to get one. If I did have one I wouldn't rely on it. It would be just one more thing that I would have to take into account on every jump. By the time I do get around to buying one I am sure they will have all the bugs worked out. I probably won't buy one till I am forced to by regulations.

[sarcasm] What??? Parents aren't teaching their kids responsibility?? Somebody ought to make a law about that.... [/sarcasm] But who is going to teach the Parents to be more responsible? There are a lot of people out there that are not responsible enough to raise children. But there is no way to stop them from having kids or force them to raise their kids with discipline or even make sure their kids are educated. There is no solution! Life goes on. Education only works for those willing to be educated. How many people have you met that are not willing to learn something new? I have met lots of people that are stuck in their ways and have no interest in learning. You can't teach someone who is not willing to learn.

Hasn't detered murder, rape or all the other offenses that send people to prison. Why would it deter people from drinking? They can't stop Marijuana or Cocaine what makes you think they could stop the sale of alcohol?
