I by no means will ever say that it is right. But as long as there are wars there will have to be soldiers to fight them. We need to train and motivate those soldiers the best way possible. It isn't pretty and it never will be. War is an ugly thing that has been around as long as people have been walking the earth and is unlikely to ever go away.

There isn't any oil in afghanistan to fight for. And his statement about enjoying killing to me sounds more like a psychological ploy to motivate soldiers to kill the enemy. In the case of the Afghan ememies they are the Taliban, who are well known to beat and kill their women if they don't comply with their standards.
-
The Taliban are a group not a race. And that is not why the US is fighting them.
-
That doesn't even come close to being accurate. The two don't even compare. One is specific to a race and the other is specific to a group of people known to be very brutal and demanding of their women.
-
I don't think that it really matters whether or not the specific enemy that is being fought is guilty of wife beating or anything else. It is a psychological ploy that makes it easier to kill the enemy. Easier to kill someone if you attribute all kinds of nasty behavior to them. I didn't see anywhere that said All Muslims Beat their Wives, Did you? They were specifically talking about the enemies being fought in Afghanistan.

Saying what he said wasn't the greatest idea, but I don't see what the big deal is. He is trained and paid to go to war. War = killing people. Duh That is the kind of person I would want as a General.

My personal wireless 802.11G router I use at home is a linksys. I find it odd that mine came with a CD you could pop in and it would fully configure your network to be secure and even the computers you wanted to connect to it wirelessly with to be compatible with that network and oter linksys routers wouldn't. Mine is using WEP encryption and not broadcasting the SSID and all of that was done by the wizard on the CD. Alot of people don't use the CD. Either they are not confidant enough to use it or are just in a hurry. I personally throw the CD in the garabage, because I have set them up so many times that I don't need the CD.
-
Hmm guess I am just typing alittle faster.
-
Most people would just use the default settings. Linksys wireless routers or access points do not have any wizard that jumps up as soon as the user turns on their computer. You have to go to the routers ipaddress in a web browser. The default setting do not have any encription or MAC exclusions.
-
Most people have no idea how to change any of the settings on their wireless access points and if they did would not understand what they are doing. I have had to set up wireless for quite a few of these clueless people.
-
Ethical? no definately not ethical. Ever heard of wardriving? It would be ethical to notify the people that they are open to the world.

It all depends on what you are backing up. The company I work for requires all backup tapes to be stored off site. so I don't have a choice. But considering that I am backing up our ERP database and all Lotus Notes DBs it is very important.
-
I know one company that uses a NAS for backup. I think it is a good idea. They backup all of their servers to the NAS and then back up the NAS to Powervault 110T. That way they only have one set of tapes to worry about and they can store the tapes off site.

It isn't a joke. a vague description of the idea is if you had 200 people under you that are all buying normal household products through Amway at a slight discount(think Sams Club) it would make you a certain amount of money. IF one of those people decided to be really gung ho and had 200 people under them buying all their household products through Amway it would increase the money you made. Keep multiplying it and eventually it would be serious cash. Just a numbers game and redirecting your spending. It works or Amway wouldn't have lasted as long as it has. One of the owners of Amway owns the Orlando Magic or at least he did. (not sure if he still does.)
-
I looked at it once. It appeared to me to be a numbers game. It all hinges on how into it you are and playing the odds. The more people you pitch it to the more likely you are to find enough people to make any money. You have to be totally dedicated and willing to put in the time and money. Not a get rich quick scheme. It does require alot of work.

I hear selling cocaine and marijuana is pretty lucrative. If you stay alive and out of jail. -
they could have also used an anonymous proxy server. That would make tracking them down very diffucult.
-
That looked alot harder then what I remember being done in the 80's. Some insane flexibilty and strength.
