I am ok with dying tomorrow. I'll tell you what you die tomorrow and I will too. You in a morbid mood to day?

News: Skydiving may be a turn off for women.
beowulf replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in The Bonfire
I have already confirmed this research. In an impromptu poll of local women around Dallas, none of them were impressed by my jumping out of airplanes. In fact I do much better by never bringing up the topic of skydiving. When asked what I do on the weekends, a lie is much more effective then the truth. -
very interesting. Saudi Arabia has long been on my personal list of places I never want to visit, but this has put a big red x on it. Meaning I will definitely never visit Saudi Arabia for any reason. It sucks to be them.
-
Why would you want to say anything in their defence? This didn't start with the invasion of Iraq and would not stop with the US troops leaving Iraq. You make it sound like all they are trying to do is defend their country against an invader. That is far from the truth.

No other group seems to take this rhetoric quite as serously as they do. Although in my opinion there will always be groups of people pissed off at everyone else and willing to kill and die to make their point. There is nothing that the US Gov. could have done differently to prevent Al Qaeda or any other such group from being pissed off and wrecking havoc.

What is your favourite part of skydiving?
beowulf replied to Orange1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
ya know I actually do like packing, but I would never put it down as my favorite part of skydiving and would never want to be a packer. I personally love both the freefall and the canopy ride. -
ha ha that is pretty funny no sorry I don't see it that way. by the Gov. allowing gay marriages it is saying that the majority of the people in the US support and think that it is ok for two men or women to marry each other. I think that is just plain wrong. So I will not vote for it.
-
I have had to do lots of things that I don't really want to do to make various people happy. What I don't have to do is vote for or support something that I don't agree with just to make a minority happy. I tolerate gays just fine. We have one gay at work that I know of and I have to deal with him on occaison. I don't have any problem with him at all. But I still don't have to agree with his lifestyle, just like I don't have to agree with the lifestyle of some one who smokes pot all of the time. I wouldn't vote to legalize pot.
-
I am not pushing to outlaw anything. I will vote how I want to and not be pushed into voting for something that I don't agree with.
-
If they propose a law saying that Christianity is the fedarally approved religon I would vote against it. If they propose a law saying it is ok for gays to marry I will vote against it. I disagree with both. Why should I have to change my mind to make gays happy?
-
umm no I am not just going along with the majority. I just have to live with the laws that the majority agree to. Whether I like them or not.
-
Its asking me to support something that I don't agree with. I consider that an imposition. so I will not vote for or support it. That doesn't mean there won't be enough people supporting it with out me.
-
What makes you think that I am going out of my way to make gay peoples lives miserable? I just won't vote for or support in anyway the gay lifestyle. As for why do they have to "legally support hetero marriages?" that is because that is what the majority of the people in this country support. When they become the majority then they can vote into law whatever they want and I would have to support it whether I want to or not.
-
Why should I have to legally support gay marriages? Why does the minority have to push their views of right and wrong on me? They can do what they want with there lives. I don't care how someone else is living as long as it doesn't impose on me. I also don't have to support something that I think is just wrong.

Here are some pics of me. Not sure how old I was then.

You need to look more closely at the article. It says that it was written Monday, May 03, 2004 The date at the top is the current date.

buuut ya gotta look stylin! Ok you can just wear a protec and get creative with mounting the audible. that cuts about $160 out. I still don't think $25,000 is enough. But it is a really good start.
-
your not counting in gear. New Rig = $4,000 RW suit = $300 freefly suit = $300 Altimiter = $150 Audible = $100 to $250 Helmet = $200 to ?

Hey women don't wear clothes that display their assets just so men won't look! right? If it is out there I just can't help but notice.
-
Actually I have heard that, just not stated in those words. But I can kinda agree. Skydiving is dangerous and can lead to unhealthy close encounters with mother earth. Therefore it could be said to be an unhealthy lifestyle. But I choose not to spend my life worrying about dying.

Cool with the FF2 and a thin wide angle lens, the lens barely sticks out. It would be very unlikely for it to get snagged.

a safe for FREE!!! hell yeah I would definetly put it to use. I had a B&E at my apartment a few years back. They took everything including my gear.

I think it takes more courage to live, then to die. Suicide is the easy way out. It doesn't take much to commit suicide, but it takes courage to live with mistakes and face the rest of your natural life. Suicide bombers = lowlife cowards

Common misconception, though the one favored by the US administration because it helps create a sense of innocent victimizition. US foreign policy has directly killed/oppressed so many innocent Arabs by now it kind of surprises me that more blowback attacks haven't taken place. The explanation you refer to is completely refuted by a book called "Good Muslim, Bad Muslim" by an African fellow named Mamoud Mamdani, should you care to look into it. I have never heard of that book. So explain to me how the US has directly killed and oppressed Arabs. How do they justify their "Holy War"? From what I have seen in their writings that have been displayed in the news I think they are in an endless war against change.

That about sums it up
