But it's a good kind of tired. 14 jumps this weekend and I am tired and sore from packing for myself. But it's a good tired feeling. Had some great jumps and some great video to look over. How was your weekend?

I like my Sabre 2. I have about 850 jumps on 150 and about 100 jumps on my current Sabre 2 135. The openings are generally very good. I have had a couple of very hard openings, but that is only 2 out of 950 jumps. Nearly all the pack jobs were done by me so those 2 were probably my fault. I would talk to the packer and tell him about the hard openings and see if there is anything he can do to slow them down. Like rolling the nose.

There are so many variables that there really is no way to compare the openings on all canopies to the Navigator 260. A lot depends on how they are packed. What kind of openings are you wanting? brisk? soft 800 ft openings? Certain designs are known for their soft openings like the Spectre. Others are known for their brisk to hard openings such as the orginal Sabre.

In a war, peace is sometimes had by winning the war instead of stopping it before one side loses. This usually means the war continues at full force until one side surrenders. That is war, it is hell. Right but it doesn't look like either side is going to do what it takes to "win" the war the hard way. The Palestinians don't have what it takes to over run the Israelis and the Israelis won't do what it takes to over run the Palestinians.

With out a true cease fire I don't see what either side can do to achieve peace.

Neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis would want the UN to step in. I don't have much respect for the UN. They generally fuck things up.

The only way for the Palestinian Gov. to be very strong is if they base it on something other then the destruction of Israel. They need to set aside their guns, rockets and bombs and try building up their people and an actual economy. As long as they waste their time and effort trying to destroy Israel they will have nothing.

Sending the UN in would not help. They would end up getting shot at from both sides. The Palestinians have no strong leadership. All they have is factions based on hating Israel.

Yes i agree Palestine needs a central strong government that has control. It can not have that if every time someone shoots a rocket the Israelis come in and bulldoze every ones home. But we don’t want Palestine to have a democratic government we want them to have a puppet government, granted that might serve better for the people in the short term. For any Palestinian Gov. to be successfull they need to first be able to accept the fact that the state of Israel exists and has a right to exist. Other wise why would Israel want to cooperate with them if their goal is the destruction of Israel. Why would Israel want to cooperate with a Hamas based Gov. that seeks the destruction of Israel?

No I wouldn’t give them money, but if you are mentioning why they are fighting now and why the government failed look at all the points and reasons. So as long as the reason they hate you is valid then you would give them money to help destroy you?? You really believe that do you?

If the Palestinians were able to put together a unified front, then I think a peaceful negotiation would be possible. Right now any Palestinian Gov. that tries to negotiate peace with Israel is derailed by the extremists firing missiles and sending over suicide bombers. Then Israel retailiates and the cycle continues.

I don't think either side wants peace or ever wanted to live peacefully together. Each wants the total destruction of the other. Not much room to negotiate is there.

A democracy is the rule of the majority not all have to agree. Lets not forget that as soon as democratically elected Hamas took office the Israelis and we made it impossible for them to govern by freezing their assets. This is yet another great example of how we only care for us and what we want, and all the democracy talk and spreading freedom is bullshit for the not to bright sheep. Neither Israel nor the US is obligated to support any Gov. the Palestinians elect. Why would the Israelis Gov. want to support a Palestinian Gov. that wants them destroyed? BTW the Israelis and the US made it very clear what the Hamas Gov. needed to do so that the Israeli and the US Gov. would support them. Hamas had a choice. Now they are getting what they chose.

Those Inhumane Israelis should be tried for war crimes. I am assuming it would be run by a Palestinian government, and who ever the people wish to elect. That is Democracy right? Only if they can all agree on a Gov. If not (which is most likely) then it's civil war till one group destroys or dominates the others.

about 3 years ago on Jan 1 I did a jump that was supposed to be a sunset jump but ended up being a night jump. The DZO handed us strobe lights, so I guess he knew it was going to end up being a night jump. Anyway it was a four way out of a 182. The jump went good considering I don't normally do RW jumps. I tracked away at 4,000 and pitched at 3 just like I always do. Well it was pitch black and I had no idea where the dropzone was and all I could see was the lights of the city that the drozone was next to. I finally found the dropzone but was way to far away to make it back. Now I had to figure out where to land. Should I play it safe and land in a lit up area that will probably have obstacles to avoid or should I go for that blacked out area across from the high school that I was pretty certain was an empty field? hhmm well I picked the blacked out are and crossed my fingers and toes. I got lucky and it was soccer field. Of the other three guys one landed in a baseball field, another landed across the street from me next to a football field, and the last guy landed in the sheriffs dept. impound lot where he tried to land between the cars, he just didn't notice a trailer hitch sticking out. Caught that right on his thigh. Other then the major bruise he was ok. At least we are all alive to talk about that one.

Happy Birthday to Gary. I know he probably doesn't remember me, but I did my AFF at Williston around 8 or 9 years ago. I remember him from hanging out at the dropzone waiting do AFF jumps. Wish I could make it to this boogie, but it's a long drive from Dallas.
