ashley good luck, i'm sure you'll make it, and be better than all the rest of the girls trying out >>>Vibes

every once in a while to read parachutist or skydiving mag. later

i would say if you want to look at them, then they would more than likely let you, but if you don't know what to look for what good is it. and another thing you have to think about is would any mechanic (a&p) really let an airplane fly that is unsafe with their name all over the log books. could it happen, sure i guess so, but i don't see it happening. just something to think about. later

call sunpath. they'll know. later

's out there try this little game out http://mydailyfortune.com/c/games/games_138922.html later

i had no problem getting the demo i wanted (a 85 comp), it's just when i got it i hated it (personally, i just fly my canopy different than what the cobalt needs to be flown to get decent swoops, and i didn't care for the toggle stroke (the breaks were set super short, and then had another setting about 2 inches longer, but it was still too short for my likeing, and the openings sucked ass) dude, you have a crossed braces already, why step down to a non crossed braced. i mean if comp cobalts are swooping the furthest or are the best swoop canopy, then wouldn't everyone (or a lot more if any) on the pro swooping tour have them. that's just something to think about. now if you want a camera canopy, well, i had bad openings as i said, but i've heard others say they had good openings later

i had this happen to me on a xaos 27 that i was jumping. really, it's no big deal. it just is one of those things. i wouldn't worry about it. later

the smart reserves are super strong, and have nice flight performance. my buddy who works for aerodyne said he was doing some drop tests with a 120, with 300 pounds hanging under it and it all held together, and the ft/sec downward speed (in breaks) was like 18 ft. per sec. and what is considered safe is 21 ft/sec. and i was looking them over at PIA, and they look very very well built. later

either one from what i've read they both are really nice. now, if you like to swoop the pond, i'd say get the neptune (but looking at your profile, i don't think your doing a hole lot of it, but i could be wrong). later

ok, so lets just say it's 35 pounds (high end). that would put him 280 out the door. and then with a 250 main, that is still 1.12, which is still pretty reasonable. later

. hahahha, when i had my first cut away, it was before i had my ticket, and i was like 13 (my dad was supervising) and i fought the damn thing from 5k to 2k trying to kick out of line twist because it was the first one that i had done all myself with no help, and i had just packed it on wednsday, and it happened saturday first load. but i tried so hard to get out of those damn line twist. and i found out that most of the time, once they start spinning, it's not going to stop. later

my guess would be a good 25 pounds and lets just say 20, and put it a bit lower, with that you are 265 out the door. i wouldn't recomend anything below a 250 main for you to buy first. and that would put you at like 1.06. but talk to you instuctors, they know the best, you may be one of those jumpers that can handle a bit more wing loading than most with less jumps, but we really have no idea. later

if you really want to know the truth, i'm just to lazy to sit down and do it. it really would be quite easy to do i would think. i havn't ever done anything like that, i may sit down at the sewing machine this weekend and make up a bridle, just for shit's and giggles, because i already solved the issue anyway. later
-
well, the thing about mine is, i also have a small pilot chute, that i custom ordered (before i knew they had suck a short bridle) and they really didn't want to build it, now i see why. and i told them i wouldn't buy the rig unless they built me the size of pilot chute i wanted (just to get it ). and when i got the rig, it at first was fine, then i got a bit of a bigger canopy, and i was getting these huge delays on a pull out. so, instead of calling them back and saying they where right, i called em up and asked about how to do the bird man option (i had seen it on some other wings, and saw that the hole bottom flap came loose, and not more tight corners). so they told me how to do it, and i did, and now, no more delays. but i still wish i had a bit of a longer bridle, and didn't have to do that. oh well. later
-
dude, i wish i had a longer bridle. for some very odd reason, sunrise sent me like a 5' bridle with my pull out. i have no clue why. later
-
yep, know exactly how that feels. what ever it is, i'm sure it will blow over soon, and you'll be able to get on and have a great day soon
-
or you should try this this is (or i do a bit easier way) how i pack pilot chutes on all rigs, unless someone asks me to pack it different. later
-
maybe you could take that step out. i know that's how i used to pack the studend rigs at my dad's old place because they where pretty tight. and make sure you are rolling it really tight, they may help too. later
-
that's really odd that you haveing hard pulls with a spandex pouch. how did you used to pack you pilot chute. can you kinda explain a bit, and maybe i or someone on here can help change it a bit later
-
what kind of rig is it?? spandex pouch, or cordura later
-
see, now why can't i have a smart dog like that later
-
well, now it (or flying video) at least once is a requirement for you IE (instructor examiner). just wondering, how long ago was that?? later
