  1. Well, IMHO (who is NOT an attorney) DWI would require some sort of hard evidence to back it up, such as BAC which would be run at the station or the jail. Hauling in a driver for DWI and having nothing would be a great argument for dismissal, as the State has no evidence. However, by default the driver gets a six month suspension and all the other nonsense. DWAI, OTOH, is at officer's discretion that the driver is 'ability impaired.' That can be just about anything. Another case proving that 'I am not answering questions or making statements' is probably a good way to go in these cases. How about perjury punishable by up to five years? Perhaps not a DUI, but they could have easily convinced her to plead to a "wet & reckless" that would have still devastated her life. The older I get, the less respect I have for police, while not all police are "corrupt" the vast majority will lie to protect a fellow cop.
  2. Spoiled brats... "You can't live with them, and you can't drive them into the lake"
  3. Has anyone ever explained to you what an extremists is? The extremists you are describing, in your comments above, say the same things about you . . . they want to wipe you off the planet . . . every single one of you. So lets look at mass genocide as you suggest . . . By your logic . . . vaporizing, burning, and radiation poisoning of babies is OK, as long as it is OUR side that does it, right? And since you are equating those PEOPLE with insects, and you exterminate insects with chemicals . . . you obviously are in favor of chemical weapons as well. You wouldn't be on any "No Fly Lists" would you? It looks like hell just froze over.
  4. It goes up - it goes down Remind me again of the rate of return over the last 6 years? And the sooner we get the hell out of Afghanistan the better.
  5. He was a very brave man who sacrificed a great deal for his country.
  6. If the the flu of 1918 waited until now, things would get interesting.
  7. Perhaps michelle obama can run for president to hold up the legacy of when anyone disagrees with the president they are racist. Its ironic how true leaders have the ability to unite people from different mindsets political and otherwise to find common ground and put aside their differences and work together. I'm sure you are equally as proud how obama, the divider and chief has done none of the sort and only works to destroy america. You seem so proud of this. Instead of proposing a working solution; you and the other leftists can only point out whats wrong with the other party instead of finding a way to work together. How sad it must be to walk in your shoes where pointing fingers takes precedence over personal accountability. It's funny how you blindly defend Bachmann, Palin and all of the other GOP Mensa members. No matter what garbage exits their mouths, you just go on and on about Obama. Don't ever change, you're why we win presidential elections.
  8. All this middle eastern chaos must be pretty exciting for some folks. The Biblical analogy is like the excitement before the wedding. Excitement before the wedding? Not for the average OT bride.

Asking my friends for pics of their feet every week? Sheesh!!! Asking for foot pics more than once a month is just plain tacky.
  12. There's no shortage of drugs that will kill a person very quickly, there's other factors. From what I understand, drug companies would be very Leary to have their drugs associated with executions, and will not supply any of these. Morphine can cause severe nausea, that could lead to aspiration and vomiting, which would not be very spectator friendly. A loading dose of Alprazolam could also be viewed as just a little bit too much fun for the condemned.
  13. I am not philosophically opposed to capital punishment. Neither, I believe, is Kozinski. But I think he nails this. Maybe not his business writing a political discourse, but I think he said what needs to be said. What do you expect from someone on the 9th? This country hasn't had the stomach for the reality of capital punishment for over a hundred years. It's hard to believe they thought the chair was more humane than the gallows or the firing squad. It's not going to change now. I would even carry it further and say that all executions should be made available for public viewing, at least televise them. If we are going to execute in the name of the state, the state should be able to see the end result of the process. From what I've read, executions are very had on prison staff, they say you never execute the same man who committed the crime, especially when it's ten years later. I think the needle is used more for the benefit of the staff, than the benefit of the condemned. I'll have a large popcorn and a diet coke, please. Better to sneak the refreshments in, why pay those crazy arena prices?
  14. And once again, I wonder why those who scream the loudest that the government is incapable of doing anything right, trust that same government 100%, to carry out the most ultimate punishment.
  15. NO. I like what he's doing with immigration right now. You can have him if he's ever cloned. If there were ever two of him, maybe at the next debate, they both might remember all those evil federal agencies he wants to cut.

  17. *** I'm certain you understand the concept of Maslow's hierarchy, I'm not sure how this conflicts with religion and then leads you straight to hell.
  18. Sorry, I'm a 44 yo hotblooded male, and like many I like expensive sports cars. Yes, I would love to drive a Jaguar F-TYPE V8 S without worrying that I would be in debt, but I live within my means and use this thing called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. But I am sure that you will next say that people shouldn't be made to use that little thing.
  19. I like having people say this one slowly over and over: I am sofa king I am sofa king we todd did
  20. Good thing we have strong Presidential leadership No doubt you'd prefer someone more like Putin. Don I think he was thinking more along the lines or Reagan or Bush. But if you would prefer a Putin or Chairman Mao, hey, what ever floats your boat... Ronnie Raygun could not get elected in the GOP of today... and Bush and friends would not go there... not enough oil to destabilize the world oil markets for. This might give a wee bit of a hint of why Comrade Put In wants Eastern Ukraine... http://ukrainetrek.com/about-ukraine-nature/ukraine-natural-resources ALWAYS follow the money.. the people with your puppet strings firmly in hand always do. I can't believe that Ronnie was at his ranch for a 25 day vacation when KAL 007 was shot down, he didn't want to leave. His aid's finally convinced him leave 4 days later on a Friday instead of his scheduled departure on Monday. What did Ronnie say in his memoirs: "It was heartbreaking to leave early, I was really looking forward to those last three days" Is there a difference between these 2 flights? Over 50 Americans, including a sitting Congressmen were killed on 007, a flight that originated in the US. The RR myth is absolutely astounding. Where was Ronnie when the Iranian passenger jet was accidentally shot down? You guessed it, but this time he stayed put.
  21. After his Obama "documentary" I'm a bit of a skeptic. He's just the opposite side of Michael Moore, Frontline shows documentaries. I read a few of the reviews, here are a few parts. "First of all, shortly after setting out to disprove the notion that America “stole the labor of African Americans”—his words, not mine—D’Souza admits that the “enslavement of African Americans was theft—theft of life and labor.” I’m no logician, but I’m pretty sure that calling something true is an ineffective way of proving that it’s false. No matter, though. D’Souza just barrels ahead. He’s no longer trying to say that slavery wasn’t theft. Now he’s just saying that it wasn’t as bad as liberals seem to think. He notes, for example, that even though Frederick Douglass was opposed to slavery, he “didn’t want to leave America"—as if working to right a wrong from within the system is somehow tantamount to admitting that the wrong isn’t so grievous after all. He explains that “white indentured servants were brought to this country by force,” too—as if the difference between temporary servitude and lifelong slavery based on skin color was merely a difference of degree. He tells the story of black slave owner William Ellison, “one of the most feared plantation owners in the South”—as if the existence of black slave owners is somehow evidence that the antebellum South wasn’t seriously messed up instead of evidence of, you know, the exact opposite. He recounts the tale of Madame C.J. Walker, a freed slave who “started selling her own hair-care products door to door” and became “the first self-made female millionaire in America”—as if all ex-slaves would have succeeded like Walker with enough “hard work.” He even reminds us that “the Egyptians had slaves, the Chinese had slaves, the Africans had slaves, and the American Indians had slaves long before Columbus”—as if the Everybody-Else-Was-Doing-It defense makes American slavery OK."
  22. I took 13 co-workers out to do tandems this morning. They all had a blast, but never again, it was like herding cats.
  23. Are you new? You can't put anything pro-u.s. on here. Ah yes a True American Conservative... good old DINESH from Bombay the felon. from Wiki In January 2014, D'Souza was indicted on charges of making illegal political contributions to a 2012 United States Senate campaign.[12] On May 20, 2014, D'Souza pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to a charge of using "straw donors" to make illegal political campaign donations. The charge carries a sentence of 10 to 16 months according to the plea agreement reached between D'Souza and federal prosecutors.[13] OH LOOK ELECTION FRAUD.. see it does exist. Apparently election law is not really taken too seriously on the fringe right.
