Welcome to skydiving, Just listen to your instructors and it will all come together. The main thing is to relax and have fun. If you can spend 5 or 10 minutes in a tunnel that will help alot. Blues

Just a joke , I dont gamble. A freind told me that story. I thought it was pretty funny but then I have a weird sense of humor.

So I go up to Reno for a couple of days to play a little blackjack, I took about 1500 dollars. For the first day I was pretty much even, on the second day I started losing. So I loose the 1500 and then take out the last 600 out of my ATM and lost that too. I was able to get a 500 advance on my visa and whle that lasted a while I also lost that. Feeling really depressed and dejected I walk out to my car, wondering how am I ever going to get the gas to get home and then I see an old crumpled bill lying in the mud, I picked it up and opened it, it was a 20 dollar bill. I go back in the casino and I just got this funny feeling to play one hand more of black jack with it. I lost that too.

There was a thread on this a few weeks back. There is alot of evidence that points to unstable people being attracted to the preisthood. Not to bash gays but the number joining the priesthood is said to be around 25% When I was 12 I spent a weekend at a seminary and the people there were some of the weirdest people I have ever met. Religion just has a way of bringing out the kooks.

Congrudulations on getting around to doing this, I jumped for a couple of years 25 years ago and just got back in the sport. Best decision I have ever made. You have plenty of time left to enjoy this sport and I wish you the best.

Sorry abut the depressing post, I was just very angry and had way too much time on my hands at work last night. I thank everyone for their very kind words. Truly was still breathing on her own after removing her from the vent but she is not expected to make it more than a few days. Her step mother will have her charges upgraded to murder when she passes.

I just had to disconect the life support to a 4 year old girl beat to a pulp and then strangled by her step mom,. she was a beautiful little girll. How someone could do this to a child is beyond me, I just hope the step mom rotts in prison and then in hell for eternity. Sometimes work can really suck.

I have about 40 jumps since getting back in the sport and was just wondering about what I should expect to pay for a complete used system? (no AAD) Thanks, I know there have probably been a lot of threads on this I just have not really found any recent ones.

Only 2 dozen? Hell I wached mine 2 dozen times a day the first week.

Welcome, you picked a great sport!! Remember to just have fun during AFF, although easier said than done, just relax and breath during FF That said, you will do great and keep us posted how it goes.

A race car averages 30 MPH around an oval race track on the first lap. How fast must he go on the second lap to average 60 MPH for the 2 laps?

Here is probably a stupid question: How does one determine their rate of decent while under anything but a good conopy? After 80 jumps I have never had line twist so I am a bit nervous on this one, wish I would get some just to get it behind me.

With 40 recent jumps belly flying, how many jumps should I expect to make to learn the basics to sit fly? Thanks for any advice.

Are you a Christian? and if you are do you know the biblical response to taxes and the poor? Your insinuation that since the poor have cell phones,electricity, and running water and should just be happy with that is very telling. Let them eat cake.

Congrats on the A, just got mine last week too. Hollister CA is a great DZ with jumping all year long and they go out of thier way for fun jumpers.

I beleive they do, they even have volunteers trained to spot despondent people. the also have smoke for people to throw over and mark locations.
