You're right, I don't know him. My bad here. Anyway, I have a Micron on order and since this a very disturbing topic, should I be worried about this reserve PC problem (what exactly is the problem, doesn't the PC work properly, is it prone to extreme hesitation?), if I should, any solutions you peeps could suggest? You have a Micron on order? I know you meant an M series bc that would mean you are going to jump a small main and a small reserve with not many jumps? Malfunction/Cutaway & Ground Crash Video

To the OP the pic attached of you holding your cutaway and seeing your reserve D-ring still in place made me cringe. Pull BOTH handles no matter what. I know the skyhook is fast but pull both. Disclaimer: I do not have that many jumps but I thought that my comments would be constructive. They are things that have been taught to me that are very important! Not economics, either. link so, using your own figures, the poor get a price rise of a couple of percent, at the very most. in return they get a ten percent wage increase so their poverty has been reduced

Not to sound stupid; but I'm not perfectly certain what the whole teabag thing is. I take it from catching it in passing that it is a general putdown of conservatives and/or Republicans. Fiscally I am definitely a conservative; and what I call a Responsibilitist. For any entity (state, individual, organization, whatever) to spend so much more than they have is simply irresponsible. It just delays the inevitable (which is the real work it will take to actually fix things) and punishes later payors. I believe the most valuable approach to improving the human condition is having a foundation built on freedom, liberty, and individual responsibility. Temper that with just enough codified law to keep those without principles from running amok. Easier said than done, but we should not throw in the towel and move to the nanny state form of government. And for the record, it occurs to me that both of our political parties have run amok. They have both strayed so far from the middle; hell bent for leather on taking us to one extreme or the other, and have placed our liberties and freedoms in the back seat behind their extremeist agendas. I do not think we should be forcing our system down the world's throat in order to further financial interests, and I also do not think we should be coddling our citizenry like the helpless toddlers so many of them have become. What the hell ever happened to a reasonable middle ground and individual freedoms? When that is suggested, one side responds that I am a heartless Nazi neo-con; and the other side responds with 'You pinko-commie lazy meddler.' We have become Peter O'Rourke's Parliament of Whores. Great post! I'm right there with you! Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Honestly Bill.... a lot if it was being doe right to correct the problem for my children. I don't hate taxes... as you have pointed out they pay for many things we need or at least think we do. If the govt. made cuts and was being proactive and the taxes hiked especially temporarily then it would be well worth it. There would be pain just like there is pain when a family has to buckle down to pay off debt. I do not think it would be as bad as some think. just my opinion. Thank you for playing? You said nothing of value! You simply made some assumptions and decided to catagorize me with little to no knowledge of my views. How about you actually address what I wrote? You never seem to be able to ever do that... you just insult, assume, and then push your own canned agenda. Useless...... Let me put it to you this way..... just like a family that is struggling with money... sometimes things like cable and a cell phone need to be trimmed. Or maybe that new flat screen or car they wanted to buy... nope shouldn't do it. If only the govt. could see that is how a budget should operate but they cannot bc every guy in DC has an agenda to push and they all want more and more to go towards their projects. Why don't we cut down to the basics? It may be tough for a bit but I'm sure America will make it through. I have a lot more confidence we will make it through that then the road we are currently on which is spending ourselves in to oblivion. Real basic.... if you cannot afford it don't spend the money. Do you understand? I certainly understand it.. but where the FUCK was all this "conservative" righteous indignation about spending as you damn near BANKRUPTED THE FUCKING COUNTRY in the last 30 years???? See ... you cannot do it. You simply cannot post without bringing up the Bush admin. and how the Fd up everything... that's sad really They did screw up and I hated what that admin. was doing and I hate what this one is doing. I didnt like what Bush was doing yet and neither did you but you love what Obama is doing? Spending even more? I think you made my point for me. The spending has to stop and the cuts have to be made. End of story! Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Muff Brother #4382 Dudeist Skydiver #000 www.fundraiseadventure.com

crush the economy? I need some of the drugs you are taking. Government spending is killing the economy. maybe those that work should keep more and the freeloaders should work a lot more and government should stop spending our money on handouts for the... bankers? at least the tarp (which I did not like) was a loan and is supposed to be paid back. the stimulus was just 800 billion in welfare and pay offs to Obama supporters with enough going to good causes so Obama could ring his own bell and claim he was doing a good thing. And Obama's is all deficit spending or increase in taxes. the military needs to be cut then

Your rant about "they did it, so we can do it too" is getting tired Jeanne. Show me where your beloved leader is changing the status quo, where he's doing things differently than the republicans you so love to hate. Uh you missed the part that I think raising taxes is the right thing to do I guess. SOMEONE is going to have to pay the bill for all the GOAT FUCK STUPID that has gone on since 1980. I guess YOU and your fellow travellers who supported all that GOAT FUCK STUPID expect to be immune to that???? Ok... you support raising taxes to pay for what Bush did.... do you support continually raising taxes bc Obama is spending even more than Bush? Try and address the post without blaming Bush or even without a reference to Bush if that is possible....... Do you support the spending Obama is doing? If you thought Bush's spending was so bad how is it that you can support someone spending even more? Do you have a viable alternative?????? Nope didnt think so.. obviously tax cuts and supply side economics didnt work. Yes.... stop spending the F'ing money!!! It is that simple! We cannot afford it. We need to be cutting govt. spending NOT INCREASING IT! Why is this hard for you to understand? I know you have a hard time saying your boy Obama is doing something wrong but for the love of God it is simple finance. Bush sucked at it now Obama sucks worse at it. I think you need to examine how much American tax revenue is spent pouring people and materiel into, and American blood onto the sands of, Iraq and Afghanistan. How much is being spent on the latest fighter jets; how much on the latest aircraft carriers; how much on defense contractors; how much on maintaining an actual or de facto military presence virtually everywhere around the globe. Or... How much on providing the lion's share of the security umbrella for Canada and Western Europe and South Korea and Japan, so that they, not proportionally reciprocating, can provide universal health coverage to their citizens, while self-employed and under-employed and unemployed Americans who don't have employer-based health isurance can either go to the emergency room or go fuck themselves. Anyone who doesn't recognize that as pouring drinks endlessly down the alcoholic's gullet is naive. Let's say the US pulled out of Afghanistan and Iraq entirely and reduced its military budget by a modest 30%. Know how much universal health coverage that would pay for Americans without raising a single extra tax dollar? Do you really think that the result of doing that is that suddenly Americans will have to worry about the invading hordes wanting to rape our daughters and steal our American way of life? You want to cut off the REAL alcoholic without raising taxes? This is how to do it. Andy... Amazon.... We are not talking about what the war does to raise debt nor are we discussing what Bush did.... if you want my opinion ... I hated what Bush did and yes he was not very good when it came to money, national debt, or spending...... all that I am saying is that I was against it and still am. The current administration is spending way more than Bush did.... once again I am not saying one is better I am saying Bush was wrong and so is Obama.... they both need a reality check. I don't expect anyhting to change overnight just that people and the govt. would wake up and realize that it is really simple.... you CANNOT spend yourself out of debt! What is so hard about understanding that? If we continue to spend the way we are then taxes are going to be insane and I for one am against that. I love the end of the article when it states by 2019 it will raise 3 trillion or something like that then goes to say that basically that won't even put a dent in what we are spending..... it's a black hole. One of the reasons why salaries are not the best way to gauge polls like this. A six figure salary in Silicon Valley or Manhattan does not go as far as a six figure salary in most other parts of the country. $150,000 in San Mateo County (Silicon Valley) qualifies a family for the county moderate income housing assistance program. Family size makes a big difference too. I had more disposable income making 1/2 what I do now but living in a place which was only moderately expensive with no one else sharing my earnings. +1 and I voted in NON US bc the pole refuses to recognize a person that does not like the GOP or the Demsbc I/we think they both suck.... but hey I'm used to stupid assumptions. Didn't make that claim, but you're right - I mean, with all those employers offering signing bonuses at hire since they can't find enough applicants to fill the positions, I'm POSITIVE they'll be snapped right up.... Fortune very recently had soldiers on the cover - the Fortune 100 (and beyond) are very interested in soldiers that are returning to civilian life. They've rediscovered this pool of differently qualified managers, who bring experience that no business school supplies. If you believe that a good manager takes incomplete data and makes a good decision now, rather than a 'perfect' decision in 6 months, they very well suited (though often need finishing on the business aspects of the job). The Bay Area got hammered with base closures in the early 90s, but then moved ahead with the tech boom. While that had it's own bubble and bust, the fortunes of this region no longer rely on the US maintaining a massive military. You don't abruptly cut the military in half. That would be more disruptive than the Peace Dividend of the first Bush Administration. But it's not nearly so trying if you just start reducing the numbers of new recruits and allow the current members of the military to leave at their typical rate of attrition. This decade or two long process also gives the other nations, the ones that leach off our efforts, to decide how much they value that help. But unless those others want to send us billions to keep it up, America cannot afford to continue to be the world's military force. We have nukes and ocean + two friends as borders. We don't have the same needs as a country like Poland or Israel would. It's time to figure out what we want for 2040 and how to get to it. That was a great article. USPA and PIA Issue Joint Skydiver Advisory

That is what is really important. On the other hand, I am an engineer, and I like comparative numbers. At the end of the day, you are the person making the jump; no one else. JerryBaumchen I do as well Jerry and am looking in to this more just trying to without influence from the "opposing parties". I am not an engineer though... not smart enough for that. Might I ask how you determined this? It is in direct conflict to what John Sherman posted on drag. JerryBaumchen Once inflated it will have more drag. I see it as simple physics. I also have discussed this plenty with many others who I know quite wel and trust. Jerry you may even know them... John I know you do. The point is I am done with this. I pulled my reserve out and feel quite good about everything in my rig. I also feel good about a direct pull of my reserve as I have talked to a few people that have done it on a V3 and I watched some video that shows good deployment. I feel god about my Vector..... others may not but that is their personal choice. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. I totally agree Bill.... I do not think they need heavy regulation but some is important... obviously.... maybe not so much for McD's though. I am tired of the people blaming the fact that they are fat on fast food chains and the fact that they are in financial trouble on the banks bc they cannot handle their own money. How many US citizens here paid no federal income tax for 2009?
Rstanley0312 replied to chutem's topic in Speakers Corner
I was talking about getting more back than you paid in.(not paying anything for the year) The last two years I have gotten back more than I paid in to Fed income tax. That is without counting the $8000 1st time home buyer tax credit I got for buying a home in Nov 2009. I most likely would not have bought the home without the $8000 tax credit. James You are welcome I did not get the credit bc I have owned 2 homes before and I did not get the other credit for buying a new home because I was only in my last home for 3 yrs. That pissed me off ..... I was not given the credit because I contributed to the Real Estate market and ecom=nomy before the crash and apparently did not time my previous purchase just right Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it.
