Asia down >5% at the open. The sell off will continue.... as I said months ago... the market could not hold its gains. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Muff Brother #4382 Dudeist Skydiver #000 www.fundraiseadventure.com

Agreed on the GoPro..... I jump a cx150 and can tell you it is a great camera but you do not need the 150... many of the Sony cx series are great.... The 110 is great and shoots quality video. Like was said above... the biggest concern is the bridle and BOC. Find a rigger and experienced freeflyer at your DZ to check out the rig. we cannot see what it looks like so none of us can really answer the question for you. Also..... work on your belly for 100-150 jumps then start the freeflying. JMHO Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. theres video! One happened mid fomation after point 1 was built, the other as he turned to track off... Can you say 'pin check'? Well, at least it wasnt on climb out or doing the swoop! I mean, who cares if the camera guy needs new underwear... Camera guys are suppossed to wear underwear?? Shit... I never knew... I didn't get that memo either...... I feel like that would really cramp my flying skills while filming. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Cop threatens to execute driver over concealed weapon permit
Rstanley0312 replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
You're right, the hooker situation is different. But some assume that condining the driver is supporting the cop. That is not the case. The cop was way out of line - case closed. "innocent until proven guilty" - that's true. Doesn't mean I can't have an opinion and state the obvious. Dude was up to no good. I doubt he was asking for directions, unless asking directions involves having a pimp sit in your backseat and a hooker leaning in your passenger window. Yes, yes, he is still innocent until proven guilty, but that doesn't mean he wasn't pickin' up hoes. I do not think you are condoning the cops behavior and I will agree there is a good chance ol' boy was trying to get him self some hooker love. I thought it was funny the cop told the pimp and hoe to beat it. Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Cop threatens to execute driver over concealed weapon permit
Rstanley0312 replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Well . . . let's see . . . the pimp and the hooker? The pimp was also in the backseat of his car (collecting payment?). The driver was obviously up to no good and is now on some sort of *high* from all the gun owners backing him up. Dude's an idiot and should push for the charges against him to be dropped and leave it at that. I would not be so quick to say that. This has nothing to do with the fact that I love my rights to carry..... the cop was out of line case closed on that but the hooker situation is different..... innocent until proven guilty. Do they have actual proof payment was being made? I guess not bc the cop told them to get lost. Without actual proof nothing is obvious in a court of law. I do not know for sure but if you really want me to I can ask Todd (attorney) what kind of civil claim he would pursue. You would have to have the money to move forward but it may be less than you think. Yes, I'd be interested in what sort of civil claim you would pursue and what sort of recovery you would hope to have. I assume? that you would sue the city as well as the officer personally? How much money would you have to have to move forward on something like this? I would guess $5000-$10000 in cash just for retainers. I keep an attorney on retainer but I will ask him next time we talk which should not be too long from now. Cop threatens to execute driver over concealed weapon permit
Rstanley0312 replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
I would take it to a civil matter but after I made a huge deal to the department and hopefully moved towards a big punishment for how he acted. I actually sent this over to my attorney and he even said that this would not be a hard case to press. I understand the more resources you have ($$ for attorney) the easier it is to pressure the department to take meaningful action against the officer. Usually people don't have the resources to do that. I am curios to know exactly what kind of civil claim would result. Certainly didn't seem that way in your post! Read it again... maybe it will become more clear to you. I stated "I think" and I do think that but I am not an idiot. I would not break that rule because I do not really want to be drawn on by a officer of the law even if he is an asshole. I guess that depends greatly on the law of whatever state you're in. If it's the law of the state that you must inform, then, you probably ought to regardless of what you think is right. According to the Attorney General's Office for the State of Ohio, it appears as if it's required. Here's the 2009 Concealed Carry Laws Manual from the Ohio State Attorney General's Office. http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/getattachment/02ff1ca7-b17e-46e2-9f1f-505beac65926/2009-Concealed-Carry-Laws-Booklet.aspx Scroll down to page 14 under "Traffic Stops and Other Law Enorcement Encounters." Quade.... I know I have my permit that's why I said I think as it is my opinion and I think it should move that way. If I get pulled over I tell them right away and my license plate is flagged as well. But I can tell you if a cop told me to not speak I wouldn't and when I had my chance I would let him/her know I was armed and have my permit. If this asshole was my cop then my attorney would have a field day. Thanks giving me a link to something I am well aware of....... I can tell you that if this was me all I would have said to the officer would be "My attorney is going to love this". Then I would have taken my right to be silent that was not given to me and just smiled. As a person with the right to carry legally I do not think I should even have to inform the officer. PPl who carry legally are far less likely to commit crime especially violent crime. http://thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/07/robert-farago/question-of-the-day-why-are-concealed-carry-permit-holders-more-law-abiding-than-the-general-population/ Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. DZs That Lie About Their Weekly Jump Numbers

Ok.... I am done not saying anything. I do not care what was said but this bullshit about "other DZ" and Gene saying Warren County is a ghost town again is just garbage. I have no issue with responding to the post but there is no reason to use this as a platform to take shots at another DZ in the area. Rhonda stated some things and Gene did too but why the F bring up another DZ in the area who has said nothing and will not because we have respect? I have friends that jump at Start and I do not give a damn were they choose to jump. It's their choice but it is total bullshit to be petty...... everyone jumped on Rhonda for saying what she did but what is the difference between that and these little pot shots. Just skydive and if you do not like a DZ then fine do not jump there but do not act like a fucking child and talk this bullshit. None of you are superior in any way to other jumpers. Everyone is enjoying the sky and learning. As I said above ... I understand Start jumpers defending their DZ and loving where they jump and that is what I am going to do. Grow the FUCK up! Cry some more Francis. Cry? Really...... it's obvious what kind of person you are..... The last bit in my previous post..... that applies to you too. What he means is this.... Your wings are pulled out between your rig laterals and shoulders. Your shackles (at the bottom wing corner) then are routed OVER your laterals and down to your leg straps - or rings - or whatever you connect to.. The bottom of that wing over the lateral should be pretty tight to that lateral (i.e., without a gap). he's just saying that if the wing trim down by the lateral has a gap there, you could extend the sewn portion of the wing to the body enough so it fits snug to the lateral sounds like you just route the bottom of the wing under the laterals......in that case, there's not reason to have any 'hanging' bit of wing down there at all Now I get it.... thank you Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. So close it up. Don your rig and camera suit, and adjust everything so it's 'jump ready'. Note where the lowest point on the wing is sewn to the jumpsuit, somewhere in the vicinity of the lateral. If this point is above the lateral, then the hole in the wing is bigger than it needs to be. Camera suits are made to fit a 'generic' rig, and if you have extra space above your lateral, you can close it up with 5 or 6 wraps of supertack to extend the seam where the wing meets the suit. Run it right down until the seam is just lower than the lateral, and the wing lays across the top of the lateral. Now the hole is as small as it need to be. If you wing is already touching your lateral, then you're out of luck, the hole is what it is. I do not attache the wings to the suit. I have that option but I just hook the snap shackles to my hip rings. I guess I could still close up the hole though. I'm going to play with my new wings this weekend and I wondered if there is anything I should do differently? i.e. when deploying.... I have a lot more surface area now so I wondered what that would do? Any advice would be much appreciated. I am going to speak to some more experienced camera fliers as well but I thought this would be a good place for some insight as well.
