+1 I have a set of Liquid Eyewear players I use on every jump. I purchased the gasket insert and tried using it, but didn't notice a great improvement as the frame was molded to my face so not much air was getting in my eyes in the first place. I don't like wearing the gasket when not skydiving, and it is a minor annoyance with minimal benefit putting the gasket in, so I don't use it. I also have a prescription lens and the glasses work great. Ditto everything Mike just said. That is cool when that happens. I was on my honeymoon in the Bahamas (no dz there anymore) and the new wife and I were at the Dolphin experience at Atlantis and a dude just walks up to me and asks "where do you jump?" I was like how did you know I jump and then it hit me I was rocking a PD shirt. Not a necklace but still the same thing... pretty cool. Edited to add... I do not believe that is the kind of wind tunnel you would want to fly in anyway. It is a horizontal wind tunnel for testing aircraft aerodynamics. I know many have taken them and many have not but I just wanted to say that I really encourage anyone to take one or another one and I highly recommend a Germain Canopy Course. It was freakin great! I learned a ton. More than I thought I would... a lot more! This was my second course but first with Brian and it really did exceed my expectations. Great addition to the thread. My wife has made a few jumps and wants to make more and I feel the same way when she gets on the plane. I also have this thing I look at occasionally called the ground that gives me a pretty good idea where I am. The last bit you added is exactly what I was going to say.... I do 4 way and 8 way all of the time in my freefly suit and there is no problem at all with it & I don't have grippers. One of my coaches told me as a person that chose freefly that I should fly in my freefly suit on most jumps including RW jumps. It sounds like the OP is pretty much doing pick up jumps so I do not think they should have to buy an RW suit... that's stupid if you ask me. On the other hand if the OP wants to start doing some serious 4 way with some solid fliers then I would say have the RW suit. I have one and that is the only time I put it on is when I am jumping with hard core RW jumpers going for some tough points or a lot of them. Just my $0.02 but if the OP has made a choice to freefly I would suggest what my coach told me.... learn to fly in that suit! Honestly, there is no reason a person cannot do some great four way with a FF suit unless the skill is not there and in that case I do not think an RW suit will make that much difference.... a little but not a ton. Just my .02 on what I have jumped... I had a BH Mamba and really liked the helmet. No real complaints. The visor locked well but the visor did splinter a lot. I just got a G3 and I have to say for my head the fit is perfect. As was said above that will all depend on your melon though. Why I really like the G3 is how much I can see. I never really thought of this as an issue with the Mamba but now jumping with the G3 I realize how much more I can see around me without turning my head and how easy it is to see my handles. The locking mechanism on it is great as well. I would jump a Mamba and be happy but I really love my new G3.... there are reviews of the two I have jumped but remember to try what you are going to buy on and looking bad ass is what matters most.
