The idea of them worries me slightly. I mean I wanna do one real bad but I'm a little worried about busting myself up. Not scared, just a little worried. I know they can be very safe if done right but I'm not worried about in the air its the landing. I know there are lights on the ground but still I just don't wanna bust up my ankle or femur or knee or something and be out for a couple of months (which would be the rest of the season in IL). What are your guys thoughts on night jumps both from a first timer's point of view, and for those of you that have done many, an experienced view?

Thank you labrys. I never thought it was a legal issue. Since the USPA BSR's have 18 as their minimum age without having waivers, I figured that member dropzones would be required to ensure the jumpers are 18. I know the dropzone staff couldn't get in trouble with the law but I was thinking the USPA might revoke their membership or something for not following the BSR's. The R stands for requirements by the way.

I just don't see it. I don't think I look like any of them. It reminds me of a comedian I saw recently who was talking about how when people say you look like someone famous its kind of an insult because its never someone good looking.

welcome. I disagree with skymama. I feel the best way to meet people become know is to do the opposite of what skymama said about not getting hammered. get really trashed make stupid bets and wind up with a unique nickname. Then everybody will know who you are. Not that I know from personal experience. No but seriously, just start talking to people. Like if you are waiting for the plane to come down just start talking to other people on your load. I have also found that if you can make it out there on weekdays, there are less people but you can usually make some pretty good friends out of the few that are there.

Sitting around waiting for my tattoo to heal. Hell, do that stuff in the winter. Summer is for jumping. I started in March and thought I'd get it done by the end of March but I'm a big pussy so it took me 3 2 hour sessions and 1 30 min session rather that one 2 hour for the outline and 4.5 for the shading. Trust me. I tried to get it done before the summer started. Now I'll probably end up waiting until the season is over before I go in for touch ups.

i've never done it...cause i'm usually by myself when playing video games, and i don't drink alone. Just wait till I get that trailer. Well get hammered and play video games all the time.
