Yes, this account is found on pg. 47 and 48 of Skyjack. The hijacker is concerned about the strength of the radio currents on the airplane and that they could accidentally detonate the bomb. The cockpit asks if he is sure and Tina replies that he is not sure. This is in ways my point. This forum contains a lot of other stuff that are indirectly related to the topic or not even remotely, indirectly related. A lot of personalities on here trying to gain the intellectual and moral high ground. Is it true that Gray is one of the few civilians and maybe the only one who has been given access to FBI files and evidence to the extent that he was? If so, this makes Gray's account very important for research purposes. Point being, maybe this question regarding the hijacker's bomb and radio transmission knowledge has been discussed here before. In my estimation, it is an important facet of the account as it is telling of the hijacker. There is much to learn if you think critically with an eye for detail. Gray was allowed access to the original copies of the witness reports taken in Seattle (passengers, Stewardesses Hancock and Schaffner) and the ones in Reno. (Other crew) It's very likely that Cooper, as far as the 'radio signal' stuff, was simply trying to disrupt communications between the FBI and the plane, or something similar. We know he was worried about snipers, because he ordered (or helped do) the closing of the window shades, at least back in Coach. (I haven't checked if he had this done up in First Class) Agent Himmelsbach's opinion is that the bomb was a fake anyway. I hold with this opinion, but of course I have no way of knowing for sure. The real question about the bomb is THIS: Would Cooper be willing to blow up the plane? Would he risk it accidentally going off and killing himself and anyone on board? I think 'no' on this one. Nothing he did pointed to being psychotic or emotionally disturbed. Money-hungry, yes. Psycho, no. And it's easier to construct a fake bomb than a real one. I respect the fact the you likely have more knowledge about the Cooper hijacking than I do, but I do disagree with what you propose as the 'real question about the bomb.' If we are thinking in terms of who the hijacker could be, a profile, then we can conclude the following: - If what he is saying of his concerns is true...that radio transmissions from the plane could cause his electronic circuitry to detonate the explosive, then he has received or been educated in explosives and radio transmission technology. - this would then lead you to believe that he possibly had military training in connection with explosives. First part uttere gobble wobble. Second part: what would there be in his bomb, or any ordinary bomb, that would be electro-magnet- ically sensitive? A micro mercury switch? A transistor? Oh I know: the plnm-465 from Ladum Fornax! Tina described the bomb. He said: touch two wires and poof. That does not sound like something from Fermilab 1971! Come up with something tangible_ and consult our Chief Engineer, RobertMBlevins. The rest of us will spectate.

Go for it Blevins! You may have found the real Marla. Hiding in plain sight. Someone worthy of your attentions ...
-
Would you agree then that his concern would be telling if this were proved to be real concern or a falacy? If the transmitting signals from the plane's cockpit could disrupt the electronic circuitry of his bomb and prematurely detonate it then he has knowledge of explosive's, etc. If the is all bunk, then he is talking out his backside and reveals that he is ignorant of potential interferring technology and explosives. Would this be something to deduce? Well sure... nitro in its original form was extremely sensitive to molecular vibration and temperature - vibrating molecules raises temp. In modern dynamite is less of a concern, but still a concern. Dynamite caps are metallic and thus subject to electromagnetic induction from strong electrical currents, or plasma particles to a certain extent. Induction in metals raises their temperature so sure, theoretically his dynamite sticks and caps were theoretically vulnerable, if that's what they were? If he raised this issue, and I guess we have to take Geoff's word that he found mention of this in some file, my feeling is Cooper raised the issue to try and scare crew into curtailing communications, but at the signal strengths involved and the distance he was from any antenna or transmitters (Im guessing?) it was not a real issue, but only a strawman (red herring). It fits with Cooper's use of technical jargon to try and control events - he doesnt claim to have a bomb with a fuse he has to light with a match, but an electrically controled bomb where he only has to touch two wires together and 'boom'. He doesnt use a pistol or meat axe but an electrically controled bomb, equals technology, equals smarts, engin- eering ... as one crew said: "maybe he has the damned manual back there!?" The primary need and effect is "control". We see it every day here in posters-posers. The need to control by whatever means is available. Im so sick I cannot continue this post or I may die, Im on a pill, Im so sick, please dont abuse me Im old, and I might sue you if you use the word "catsup" or "snail"! "Is there anybody in there?" . Now if Cooper's bomb was a dud and a fake, then its all for effect and control. Cooper is lucky some female LE person dressed like Hancock didnt walk in to retrieve her purse asking permission of Cooper, he say's ok, then she goes to get the purse and puts a bullet between Cooper's eyes ... to take control back! The central issue for Cooper is "control", as with all artisans of crafting .. Geoff Gray isnt here to question, unfortunately. Geoff is controling his craft, in another direction -

Its too bad none of this applies to the actual DB Cooper case, but only to people with "claims" toiling for CONTROL, in the vinyard of the Cooper case! And if Unicorns and them that ride them were only real! More Jesus in the Toast - pleez! Cup of cider too. Is Mary and that guy named Joseph on tonight? I got them the free calendar at Orschleins they wanted. Have a Merry Christmas! you are correct, but, can prove to Jo this is not a Government cover up, just mistakes and possibly move on Cant prove to a grapefruit a light bulb isnt the Sun!

No battle. Never was. It's just taken forever for him to circle around and find the beginning. The real beginning, not the one he made up. Concerning vibrating the molecules of nitro- glycerine, trinitroglycerin, trinitroglycerine .... lets leave that to Snowmman, 377, and RobertMBlevins, and Jo Weber. They love a new unicorn to ride and Geoff Gray gave them one ... Swamp land, bridges, real estate, and books! Keeps hope alive for some.

I'd like to address this statement. Well, I'd say you are pretty perceptive. Gray was really the first to investigate Christiansen, but he ran into a little problem: Skipp Porteous. When Porteous decided to investigate Christiansen on his own, and sent me the files, pictures, and the incomplete manuscript, he also did something else. He cut Geoff Gray out of the information loop. I did not know how to get hold of Gray, and I tried to find an email link for him, but I never found one until after he released Skyjack and established that website. This information freeze put onto Gray was the one thing I got angry with Porteous about later...when I found out what was going on. It would have been better had Gray, Porteous, and I worked together. You see, Gray had no idea when he was researching and writing Skyjack that people like Helen Jones, the Geestmans,' etc even existed. It would have been better for the whole KC investigation had he helped interview these people. I think Gray deserved to know everything, since he was the first to check out KC anyway. Mistake number two was when I was urged by Porteous to get out the book ASAP and by Gayla Prociv to stop spending funds from AB of Seattle and again...get out the book. And that turned into a disaster and the book had to be pulled anyway and re-done soon afterward. The proof that it WAS a disaster is easily seen at Amazon on reviews of Blast. The ones dated BEFORE December 20, 2010 are for the original edition, and some are VERY bad reviews. Amazon lumped the reviews together, both for the new edition and the old, and refused to separate them, even though these books had two different ISBN's. Nothing I can do about that now. But this is also why the reviews dated AFTER December 20, 2010 are generally better. When I met Gray in Seattle, I tried to make up for this crap by giving him a flash drive containing every file and doc and pic we had on the KC investigation, but it was incomplete. We still didn't know a few things at that time. So. Fine. Gray comes out with his book and I read it. I can see the frustration between the lines. He knows some things, I know others. It's hard to explain, but my first thought after I read it was: "Frick! We should have worked TOGETHER!" For a short time I was really angry at Porteous, but I got over it. Since that time, I went around and around, here at Dropzone, other places, trying to explain the case against KC. But as we all know, there are different suspects, a lot of competition, and let's face it...the BS can pile up on the Cooper case so fast you need wings to stay above it. Then...my confidence in the Seattle FBI gets seriously eroded when they prop up Marla Cooper as a 'viable witness' with little or no evidence to back it up. I was disappointed with them for doing that, as well as their lame explanations on the Amboy chute. At the end, I figured the only solution was to create a report for the FBI that did NOT contain any of the mistakes we made in Blast. Just the facts, as the saying goes. Nothing we can't prove, and to provide true names and accurate renditions of the available evidence. This took a few months but I finally got it done and sent it in to them. I sent it registered, certified, whatever. The receipt came back a few days ago. That's all I can really do, but I will say one thing. It beats Marla's effort any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. I have given them the tools to either prove or disprove that Kenny was the hijacker. Whether they will take action on it is another matter. If they don't, I will send duplicates to the local major media and see what happens. The lesson in this whole thing is simple. It's better to work together sometimes. It's good you just 'published' this bullshit! Now everyone can know for a matter of fact what a liar you are! And how confused with dates and basic facts you get. To hear you tell it: it was Adam, Eve, and RobertMBlevins at the beginning! And you have the gall to call Gray "my good friend"! Hell, you didnt even exist when Gray was doing his work on KC! Who called 'who' up!? There are years of separation betweene the two events, and you and Gray! - was your mother and Little Dog Toi-Toi there too? Your claims have become so verbose and full of made up lies and redirections/missdirections/ cancellations of fact/inventions of fact ... is there any doubt you are Mr. Cooper, Mrs. Cooper's twin!? Jo Weber/RobertMBlevins: two of a kind. Both off their rocker! Keep including your personal flames against Marla in madeup stories like yours above. It signals the reader you really ARE nuts and obsessed! And a baldfaced liar when it comes to your own affairs. "The lesson in this whole thing is simple. It's better to work together sometimes.:, Blev says. More deep seated delsuions of fame and glory for Little Dog Toi-Toi on Blevin's part! Maybe you can just get the dog to talk and have him recite the Gettysburg address, for the first act ? I dont mind that you and Adventiure Books is all about "science fiction", you say, but this piece of your boilerplate above is going too far . . . You have chided me for almost a year saying that Gray told me you were a mental case, and totally untrustworthy ... 'my posts on this matter are very clear, and quoting: "Gray seemed to have some- thing specific in mind, knowledge of prior trans- actions or something involving experience with Blevins..." So, knock me down with a feather !!!!!! After years of you calling me a liar and other attacks about my CREDIBILITY! what do you do today? You come here and post the very missing links, ie. "reasons/experience with Blevins", that I said Gray was referring to above - or some facsimile thereof. The very 'experiences' you said in a tirade did not exist! You see Mr. Blevins, as I previously explained, I never persued with Gray what he meant by: 'experiences with Blevins'. But years later what do you do today? You come here like some idiot with poor memory, and spill the beans and provide the very missing links, I was speaking of in reference to Gray, which you called me a liar for mentioning previously ... And you now re-write the whole factual history not just between you and Gray, but between Gray and Porteous, and between Gray and himself, as he was working on his KC story! What comes next? Some claim that you and this socalled Adventure Books owns Gray .. and New York City ... or is it just Manhattan and the Bronx!? Jesus Christ Blevins. I cannot thank you enough! Thanks for proving my case! You have spent zillions of words and endless personal attacks claiming I was lying with you demanding "proof"... Well now you have "proof"! You just supplied the "proof". In your bogus history you present above ... I knew sooner or later you would get around to Gray and present 'your side of the story', in your own defense of what you denied even existed and called me a liar for posting about ... Now it is totally clear the basic facts of my conver- sation with Gray was never at stake. What you were upset about was the loss of control over those facts - you wanted control! Control means more to you than truth and facts! You are all about CONTROL, just like Jo Weber. What goes around, comes around. And you said you and Gray had no history! And Georger needed to prove his allegation! And Georger was a liar! Now who is the liar, numbnuts? Next time, Mr. Cooper, try to get the history you said was 'no history', correct. Jo Weber will help you spin the yarn ... Gray will read your baloney above, and laugh his ass off. And if nothing else at least he will know I gave a credible account, while you called me a LIAR! You are the liar Blevins. Now come back as you usually do and claim you didnt say or mean what you said and meant above, in reference to Gray and your history of Gray! Redirect it all now that you have said it! I wont even bother to read it, and Gray won;t either! And you and Gaykla can sit there in red cozy socks and sip Coke while Rome burns underneath ya - Thanks for your post, finally, numbnuts!

I don't have anything against this idea. It's possible that they might discover who wrote the letters, even if it isn't Sheridan Peterson, because there are a great many people on the worldwide DNA databases. These are mostly set up on a national level. As of 2010 about 7 million people are in the British database, for example. More than that for the US database. This is an opinion only, . Then why say trash-talk like this if you havnt the faintest idea what you are talking about? You are the kid in the back of the room that wont stop talking and whinning! Dont freak out (know you wont!) but tell us how dna analysis is done, here or in Britain ? Being the expert bullshitter sci-fi guy you are ? Hmmmm? Blevins? Problem is, Mr. Cooper, your socalled opinions and pseudo expertise arent worth two-cents. Is Mrs. Cooper up? Jo Weber? You two are a pair - Mr & Mrs Cooper. Happy Christmas to Mr. & Mrs. Cooper. Your haooy marraige here at Dropzone.com has been recorded for all time . . .

Since you are now speaking for Geoff Gray, 'others,' AND the FBI, you have some proof of these statements, right? Quote Cant you read English you pompous fool? Any common five year old understands what I said and what it means, silly man. No redirection - No deflection - No straw man - No useless personal attacks - I was speaking for myself! NO PROOF REQUIRED! Just as you speak for yourself - NO PROOF REQUIRED. You are the biggest MARLA that ever dropped into COOPERVILLE! And you aint Santa! Be the The Sham Wow King. For a day or two. Until the next one! Enjoy your sci-fi life, what's left of it!

For the record, Geoff Gray (like me) only wonders whether KC was the hijacker. But he never states a guess or any conclusion on whether he was or not. The last thing I heard from him about it was a silent response at Third Place Books in Seattle. He shrugged. He just doesn't know. Neither do I. "Just because you fail once doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything..." Marilyn Monroe So, he shrugged means "He just doesn't know". Could his silence and shrug with you, mean something else? Du ja think? He wasnt silent with me about it. He hasnt been silent with others about it! The FBI hasnt exactly been silent about it! Maybe it's just people giving Blevins the silent treatment? Du ja tink? Americans wanna know! Play it again Sham Wow. Build that Straw Man. Anythingto make your monkey dance. Playit again, Sam. "Just because you fail once doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything..." Marilyn Monroe

Speaks for itself to your mindset, I would think. Get over the hatred, sir. You'll sleep better. Blevins get over yourself. The hatred and envy has always been yours. I am nothing but a spectator. Have a nice meltdown. LETS MOVE ON! BLEVINS IS GONE! THERE IS A GOD!
-
You are watching too much TV You are making associations out of your mind ... Connecticut !? WOW! SICK MAN. You are constructing another STRAW MAN. Geoffrey Gray warned us you might! You have lied to us for two years claiming you had evidence turns out you did not even have and you now have the balls to come here and complain ? Play it again Sham Wow Blevins. Kenny's net worth was a pillar in your case. Now turns out you were lying and didnt have the proof you claimed to have. First Myers & Dvorak - now Blevins. Play it again, Sam. Worm your way out of this one, if you can! Just short of your posting "I am not afraid" late night last week asking if we wanted to read your letter and file to the FBI, NOW you discover your central evidence is wrong and was in error all along by a factor of x10 ! Never mind you beat everyone raw for two years with this mistakenly wrong evidence! Your case just got thrown out of Court and you along with it! And 377 wants to give you an AWARD! An Academy Award ? Instead of the Oscar here's what you get > If I were you I would go into hiding. You are now going to be the subject of every Cooper blog and Post-to-Post Show, and Interview Show related to Cooper, from America to Zanzibar. Quote: "Americans want to know" [RobertMBlevins] And you came here openly to expose yourself! Amazing! It literally is stupidity on a level one seldom sees, in public, since the Gong Show . Jo Weber and others are probably taking a lesson from this - in their tactical Bible ! Now even I am being entertained. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORKS! MORE!
-
Good for you Robert. Few here so readily admit error. You'll probably get crucified by the Blevins haters for this correction but I think it shows diligence, humility and good journalistic ethics. Gerstman was lying. His Foss tugboat story was pure BS, tug voyages aren't that long, but none of his lies are provably linked to complicity in Norjack. 377 How many FREE ASSASSINATIONS DO YOU ALLOW YOUR CLIENTS, before we hang the fucker ? You obviously backed down the stairs without looking, assuming, and now you want an award !? "What's you major malfunction, numbnuts!?" (R. Lee Ermey quoted by Blevins!)

Remember when I said that Christiansen's stamp and coin collection was worth about $300,000? That was WRONG. I finally got a copy of the actual appraisal. It was valued at approximately $30,000 in 1994 dollars, or about $45,000 in today's dollars. This was a mistake that originated from Lyle Christiansen, who tossed in an extra zero by mistake in an email. I believed him. Finally, I started checking and found out the true number. KC also had about $200,000 at the West One Bank when he died. That was verified by his final bank statements. Oh brother! And you talk about other people's CREDIBILITY! ? This wrong-fact was central to your case! You banged us over the head for years with this ... So, fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

Contact RobertMBlevins for a movie script! He or Jo will call you back immediately because they seem to monitor this thread 24-7. They keep the pressure on. I don't generally do screenplays. A few pages here or there, nothing serious. Besides, who would want to do another film on the escape? Clint Eastwood already made the best version. I especially liked Patrick McGoohan as the semi-sadistic warden: Shutter says in part: I have to agree. As far as 'monitoring this thread 24/7', I do have a day job and I don't pack my iPhone around at work. Georger says in part: Actually, he said: "I have a suspect in mind in the DB Cooper case. His name is Kenny Christiansen." Robert: "Who?" Porteous: "I can send you some files on him." Reality Check: We've only had one inquiry on film rights in over two years. Rights are not being marketed actively, and I have no intention of doing a screenplay. I also think your constant mention of my name just counter-indicates your desire to discuss Cooper, rather than yours truly. Yours truly is a bit of a boring sort anyway. "Just because you fail once doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything..." Marilyn Monroe Reality Check: You cross every T and dot every I ... in trash talk that has no meaning in the first place.

There's a newspaper account and FBI file. How would that be urban legend? I think it is likely they saw something but just didn't want to get involved while in the vicinity. I also don't think the escape is why Alcatraz was closed, I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that closure was already in the works...? Even if not, Alcatrez days were numbered. It was just too old, falling apart, and was too expensive to maintain and operate. Why Blevins watched the movie - what other proof to you need than Blevins seeing the movie ! ? Blevins has had nothing but movie scripts on his mind since Porteous first contacted him saying "MOVIE DEAL!".

If you author a Cooper book, two things will happen, Meyer. Nuts will come out of the woodwork, and some people won't like what you say. You've had your opinion and I listened to it. Now unless there is anything else, perhaps we can get back to Cooper and out of the personal analysis room. And I still don't like seeing Kanye West in a leather skirt. Unless of course it was the NUT who wrote the book? Maybe then the critics are the NORMAL people. Is that a logical possibility? "You've had your opinion and I listened to it. Now unless there is anything else, perhaps we can get back to Cooper" Let's get back to Cooper by saying: (a) "And I still don't like seeing Kanye West in a leather skirt. " and (b) "Just because you fail once doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything..." Marilyn Monroe " Uh-Ha. I think I see a pattern there. I get it! Pure genius! And On Topic just as you said.

Well, Robert99, I only have ONLY this to say about the flap settings. Duane's brother John Weber was involved in the development of the Boeing 727.. He must have known my grandmother. She was also involved in the development of the Boeing 727. She gave birth to Earl, who gave birth to Peter, Paul, & Mary, who were involved in the development of the 727. Hell everybody was involved in the development of the 727. And Mary Travis looks like Cooper! Doncha think?

'Bumped'. This is a very good question. Definitely deserves an answer. 'Bump away!' We know YOU ARE IN CHARGE HERE! $ - in internet lingo, it just means to bring up post count, or move a thread to the top (bump it to the top) when you have nothing really ... Quade, you have just been replaced by RobertMBlevins. All posters be aware!

[post edited] Palmer says that the money .... Palmer does not mention .... Palmer 'acknowledges' the issue of ..... Palmer never mentions a ..... MeyerLouie says in part: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Sure about that Blevins? I'm not. I'm not speaking for others, I have been reading the DZ posts for the past year, including the ones directed at you. I don't need to ask others or speak for others here, I have evidence -- your posts and what other people have said to you or what others have said about you. I'm using evidence Blevins. Got it?...' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't get to believing you are special in this opinion. And that's exactly what it is...your opinion. Besides, I just don't care. Are you kidding? I receive about 40-50 emails a week with comments, questions, some on Kenny, some on the Cooper case in general. About one in five are fairly nasty. After two years of this stuff, you get used to it. You think my posts are crap. Fine. Move on. I've heard it before. If you don't like them...use your mouse to scroll past them. Regina, the author of the KC article, had been out of town for about two months and hadn't been checking her column anyway. She emailed me today and apologized. Told me there are so many obscene comments posted (over 300) that it will take her a day or two just to fix it all. She's already banned several IP's and is ready to do plenty more. I put her onto that idea as the easiest way to deal with this stuff. After reading all that crap on that article, well....your comments seem rather tame, Meyer. Hate to put it this way, but almost boring. If you want to get up on a pedestal and preach 'bad posting,'why don't you go over there and do it. Your efforts would be better served. Watching 121212 concert. Very good. http://binged.it/UBnZBj Drop some of the money in Wind River... or toss it in the Columbia if you opt for following the very nice road that follows Wind River down to Carson. Time??? how long would it take you to hike 50 miles or so... There was certainly plenty of water to be had in November and there is even food if you know how to acquire it. Your route strikes me as a Survivalist's route. It places some reliance on Cooper having survival skills, perhaps knowing the area, sticking to survivalist principles-training ... and one direction 'they' might not search. The slow methodical stroll out of the woods, while everyone is looking some place else. A Cooper who out-thinks his adversaries. Money winding up at Tina Bar out of this scenario however, becomes a probability on par with the lottery, in my estimation. I wonder if anyone has ever searched the Wind River route? Im guessing not. But I see the attractiveness of your route. As a tactical matter its almost like Lawrence crossing the Nefud, to get to the backside (unwatched side) of Acaba! Maybe Cooper was a tactician in the Pentagon! It looks like something that would come out of the War College. I like it. Except for the money, it works, with a very high probability of success! I like it a lot.

Good suggestion, Galen should do it if he hasnt already. The answer, however, may not be reliable. When I was a kid my best friend's dad was in the National Guard. On some weekends we'd go with him to the armory. He'd sign in and leave immediately. He joked with us that he was a weekend warrior for a minute a month. The guys in the unit all cooperated to falsify attendance records. There may also have been sloppy or after the fact attendance record keeping at Army bases. I dont think Gosset was DBC, but if he was he may have figured out a way to have a good alibi, such as base records showing he was present during the skyjack. Just a thought. 377 Have you got any advice for Galen concerning what color of underwear he should wear, the toothpaste he should use, the price of asparagus in Helsinki, or why do you think Galen Cook needs any advice from you and Blevins? Galen etal seem to be showing utter disregard for all of your advice! If you knew that Galen doesnt even read this thread what would you post then, and to whom? But maybe Galen Cook likes his name being kept alive in the Dropzone Cooper Forum by his self- appointed adversaries - some of whom dont have a pot to piss in but are willing to keep taking out loans so they can afford the internet bill! People sure are strange and self deluding!

P.S. for Georger: I read the Citzens Sleuth records - and I did NOT agree with the findings - as they were all influenced by a lot of evidence that has since been proven NOT VALID. Talk to Tom Kaye.
