Gingrich wanted ‘open marriage’ with both wife and mistress
Gravitymaster replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
True, unless his private life is somehow of importance in regard of his politic views, which is the case here. If you preach family values, you better make damn sure that your private life is pristine. A typical case of "Judge and be judged". I agree with you in principle. But unless somebody's a closet axe murderer or serial wife beater, I really don't give a shit anymore. I see ex- and soon-to-be-ex- spouses/SOs act like fucking assholes almost every time I'm in Family Court. We've all known for 20 years that Newt's a prick, and a philanderer, in that order. So now, 15 years after the marriage ended, his 2nd ex is getting in one last lashing-out of her rage against her ex-husband, for no other reason than because she hopes it hurts him. Frankly, I think it's long past time for her to have gotten on with her life, including emotionally. After all these years, all she's really managed to do is make herself look like an embittered fool in public. This should be a lesson to all the divorcees out there who are still very, very, very angry at their ex-spouses: Let it go. I mostly agree with you. However, I do expect someone to conduct themselves in a professional manner once they are in office. -
The Remington 700 rifle that Charles Whitman used to kill 17 and wound 31 was sold as a deer hunting rifle.

I hope my effective tax rate will be 15% one day!

so really wonder how different his portfolio is from any of the other Rep candidates, Barack Obama, George Bush, John Kerry, or Al Gore using this to after any specific candidate is pretty dumb - using this to go after the tax code is a great thing +1, agreed. Huge fail, but they will still keep trying. -

So is it your opinion that anyone who has ever held foreign stocks or owned a % of a non-American Company is not qualified to be President of the U.S.? How about a President who awards contracts to foreign companies to build automobiles for Americans? Do you find it un-American to pass laws that drive American companies off shore so they can compete with products manufactured in other countries? Would someone who did that be un-qualified to be President? -

As an investor, I put my money where I get the greatest return. I would question the intellect of anyone who didn't invest with that attitude. Plus I seriously doubt Romney makes the daily decisions on which stocks to invest in. This attempt to attack him on this is a major fail. Do you own any foreign stocks? -

Good thing the Chinese and other Investors who move their money offshore to invest in America don't think like you do. -

Since I'm a law professor, the usual honorarium. Great, then you are no better than those you complain about. Some on here would consider you a rich pig. -

Hahahhaha.... (sigh) Oh wait, you're serious - let me laugh harder! Hahahahahhahahahhha..... I neither agree or disagree with your politics, but that comment is tantamount to damn silly. I can find soooooo many examples of folks who get paid a lot of money for speaking engagements who say utterly goofy things... Apparently the people who pay a lot of money to listen to them would disagree with you. How much did you make on your last speaking engagement? -

Did he just say $374,327 was "not very much." Yeah that's dumb and stuff and he said it. I could do a much better job for $300k! Hell I'll even bring my own lunch! And yeah sadly I only make $100k and have an MBA and a condo so....my taxes will always be in the high 20's low 30's But thats because god hates me Or maybe you say a lot of dumb stuff. -

WOW! OK this is me saying it....but boy this guy can say some really dumb shit! Did he just say $374,327 was "not very much." OH boy...Obama may be a fucktard but this boy....wow....really? He said that? WOW! Way to go dumb fuck! Way to fucking go! People who make that much in speaking fees usually don't have dumb stuff to say. That's why they get paid that much. -

How come it works for the super rich, but not for Shah or me? For 2 reasons. One is that you constantly support politicians that have convinced you it's good to raise taxes. Two you need to ask your Investment Advisor and Business Coach this question. Oh, you don't have an Investment Advisor or a Business Coach? Well, there you go, you have answered your own question. -
Well, *that's* gonna drop the resale price... Can you imagine the cops? "I'm not going to test fire it!!!" Heck of a mental image of him getting it in there and how he planned on getting it out. My guess is he spent some time in prison before and was "loosened up" a little bitduring that stay.

I'm a liberal. I enjoy building and shooting AR-15s. I mostly call them ARs or rifles. Well, obviously you have a grip on reality. At least as far as weapons are concerned.

After you see more posts on this thread, you won't question the "left-wingers" term anymore. I don't have any friends who own semi-automatics that refer to them as "assault weapons". That's a term made up to scare people to support gun banning efforts by left-wingers. If I shoot someone with 6 rounds from a revolver, it's not an assault weapon. If I shoot 6 rounds from an AK-47, in the same amount of time it's an assault weapon.
-
An "Assault Weapon" is a left-wing term for any scary looking semi-automatic weapon. You have to squeeze the trigger to fire each round but you don't have to slide a bolt or re-cock it for each round.

OMG! Walmart is selling assault weapons!
Gravitymaster replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Honestly? Go to luckygunner, ammoman, ctd or ammotogo...it's cheaper for anything more than 100 rds or so. Fortunately we have abut 6 gun dealers within a few miles of here. The NRA Range is probably the cheapest place to buy. -

Some of the Walmarts around here even stopped selling ammunition for a while. Hope this means they will start up again. -
That's just their salaries. Name a few who have been there for more than 5 years who aren't worth $millions

Note that it was kallend that specifically brought up guns and abortion, thank you. He brought up abortions, you brought up guns. (I wonder if you'll now deny it just because it was me who pointed it out?) WTF did you read post #2? Yep. I also read post #1. Did you? Yep, no reference specifically to guns. What is the full name of the Brady campaign? I see what you mean now about it being you who brought it up.
