  1. Where is the Dem budget? I tend to take his plan more seriously than a non-existent one. I think you mean the proposed Obama Budget. The one that was voted down by a 97-0 margin. The one that even had his own party scratching their heads. What a total and utter "Parachute failed to open" moment.
  2. Since this entire issue came up after Obama made his announcement that he now suppoerts gay marriage, it's fair to assume that there was a political motivation as I noted in my last post. To ignore that is to blind ones self to the actual reason this is suddenly an issue ie. Presidential politics. I believe, and sincerely hope, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are elected. I do not agree with everything they stand for including the rights of gays to form legal unions with all the benefits of hetro-couples. If they want to get married in a church with a pastor who is willing to perform the ceremoney, that's fine with me. I would not vote for or against anyone for President based on a single issue.
  3. You do know that most Blacks who are Christians are also against gay marriage, don't you? Obama attended a Black Church for 20 years and presumably made donations to that church which likely had an anti-gay bias due it's support of traditional marriage. Of course the timing would suggest the real reason Obama changed his stance likely has more to do with creating a wedge issue that could be used against Mitt Romney.
  4. You must not have read the entire post where I ended with: "And before you go on caterwauling about an intransigent Republican party may I remind you that Obama had both the House of Representative AND a filibuster proof Senate for nearly half of his term." That's an indication of that blind spot they all seem to have. It's always someone else's fault. And if you don't agree with them, they call you an idiot and try and parse your words or twist the meaning of what you said.
  5. Pssst … Obama did release a budget proposal for 2013. Pssst...so did I. Neither Obama nor I got any votes. His own party wouldn't even support him. That's even more pathetic than to have just continued without one. I see. So now you're changing your position from claiming that Obama didn't release a budget proposal to claiming that his proposal didn't get any votes. Sorry, meant to say the Democratically controlled Congress hasn't passed a budget in 3 years. The last one Obama proposed was defeated 97-0. That's has got to be a first in U.S. history. But of course the left wing loons will blame it all on the Republicans. How convenient. I can't figure out this blind spot for Obama. The guy is a Community Organizer. He's likely never had to develop a budget in his entire life, either for a business, since he's never had any business experience, nor likely in his own personal life. Then he surrounds himself with people like Geitner, who can't even figure out how to do his own taxes and surprise, surprise, we get a budget proposal so ridiculous that not a single Democrat votes for it. Then you left wingers feel justified to criticize the Romney Budget/Ryan proposal that hasn't even been developed or released, yet. But that doesn't stop the left wing parrots from screeching about it anyway. It's as if they are so frightened by the prospect that Obama really could lose now that Ryan has entered the race that they will do and say anything to prevent them from facing up to the reality that Obama, the first Black President, has been a complete and utter failure. Sure he's had some victories, but he's also had many failures. The greatest of which I believe is his inability to gain the confidence of the business community for his ideas. Business people are mostly biding their time, waiting to see if he gets re-elected and afraid of what a lame duck Obama will do to their business models and their financial plans. We wonder if consumers will be able to afford our products and re afraid of how all the aggressiveness of the EPA in recent years will impact our business. And no, that doesn't mean we want dirty water or unclean air. It means that many of these regulations cost more and more money to comply with. That means that the prices of our products have to be increased which means fewer people can afford them, so they put off purchases "until next year". This is almost a daily occurrence in my business and it affects us drastically in our bottom line. It makes us look for ways to reduce our overhead and direct costs. One of the ways we do that is by outsourcing and changing employees status' to independent contractors. It's not just a simple matter of everyone in an industry being subjected to the same rules, it's being able to deliver a product to a consumer at a price that makes sense for them to buy. If the price exceeds the perceived value, the consumer simply won't buy or will look for cheaper products. If those cheaper products come from an overseas manufacturer, then that what they will buy and another American job is lost.
  6. Just the latest one that didn't get a single vote in the House or Senate. I wonder if in the entire history in the U.S. a president has ever proposd a budget so horrible that it didn't get a single vote. Even from members of the Presidents own party. What a complete and utter embarrassment. And the left wingers act like they are proud of him.
  7. Well, if Mitt would SPECIFY then unspecified expenditure wouldn't need to be excluded. Thanks for shooting yourself in the foot. Is this the part when you run off the rails and start accusing others of exactly what you just did? Just wondering if we have gotten there yet.

  9. Show one post I have ever made claiming Obama wasn't born in the US. You are getting your left wing talking points mixed up.
  10. Did you read the note on the bottom of your own graphic? More smoke and mirrors with some sardonic music and strobe lights added in.
  11. The point is, Obama won't put a plan out there for us to look at. Strange youu would think it's more important for a guy who is runnung for President to present a more detailed budget but are OK with the guy who is President using smoke and mirrors. *sigh* I never said it was ok the Dems didn't have a good plan. In fact, I called it pathetic in the very post you responded to. That said it STILL doesn't make the Ryan "plan" any better. It's more like the Ryan "idea/concept". When it comes to details, no-one seems to be delivering the specifics on the HOW. That's the problem. Ian Nobody except left wing parrots have suggested Ryan's budget is going to be implemented. In fact the Romney campaign has said they will come up with their own. In the meantime, at least Romney and Ryan have put something out there for discussion. Unlike the democrats and Obama. But look who gets attacked. Pretty pathetic isn't it?
  12. Exactly. The discussion is simply Obama supporters parroting left wing talking points. Still waiting to see that Obama budget proposal so we can compare it to Romney's and Ryan's.
  13. I don't begrudge Romney his wealth. Given the longstanding tradition of candidates releasing tax returns and being transparent about their income, I suspect Romney's returns must contain information he believes would cost him the election. If he thinks they're that bad, well, he's probably right. Blues, Dave Kind of like the same reason Obama won't release his College Grades? Do you really think college grades from 30 years ago are as relevant as details of how a candidate views taxes from 2 years ago? Sure do. Especially would like to see some of his philosophies. Don't you think that's more important than learning what we already know about Romney..that he's a very smart guy who made a lot of money? Sounds like exactly what this country needs right now. If he has broken any laws, let the IRS deal with it. I'm sure Eric Holder would be on him if there was anything nefarious. My high school GPA (1980s) was somewhere around 2.0 and I eventually dropped out and got a GED. My undergrad GPA (late 90s to 2003) rounds down to 3.9. Which of those tells you my philosphies in 2012? Blues, Dave I wasn't aware you were running for President.
  14. Sure do. Especially would like to see some of his philosophies.[/reply[url]] You overestimate the information available from grades. I'll be the judge of that.
  15. Nope, the writer admits it's a fantasy. Try again.

  18. That Fairy Tale has already been debunked. Where? Certainly not in this thread. By the author himself before he got started on his Fairy Tale. But of course he felt he could criticize it anyway. Not knowing all of the the details does not imply that there is not enough known to logically conclude that Romney's claims are not mathematically sound. We will have to elect him to see what's in it. You know, sorta like Obamacare. In the meantime. you will have to rely on left wing loons like Firestone for your marching orders.
  19. This is what the USA must avoid: www.nytimes.com/2012/08/12/opinion/sunday/romneys-tax-plan-defies-the-rules-of-math.html That Fairy Tale has already been debunked. Where? Certainly not in this thread. By the author himself before he got started on his Fairy Tale. . Lame-O. Tell us what programs Romney will cut, and how much it will save. Tell us which loopholes he will close, and how much it will save. Tell us how these savings will compensate for Romney's proposed tax cut and eliminate the deficit. So far Romney's "plans" are all smoke and mirrors with no substance. Let's put Romneys plan right next to Obama's and compare them. What was that URL to Obama's plan again?

This is the same David Firestone who called Barney Frank a "Centrist". I'm sure Barney is a Centrist from Mr. Firestones far left wing perspective. Let's talk about the Democratic Budget......Oh, wait...they haven't had one for over 3 years.
