  1. Are you sure he(Jay) wants back in? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  2. On strong tandems(the only ones I'm rated and familiar with) if you have under 500 tandems after 30 days you'll need to jump with a licensed skydiver as a passenger under the supervision of another TI. After 500 tandems its 90 days. After 6 months you'll need another TI as a passanger and after 12 months you'll need to do re-currency training with a TIE. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  3. I'll rephrase it once more, - gets a TI rating - commits a sexual crime - pleads guilty, gets 3 months in prison, 9 months suspended, ends up on sexual offender registry - not uncurrent enough to involve USPA, mfgtr examiner, another TI So why should the mfgtr examiner/USPA be responsible for this scenario. Makes much more sense for the DZ to do the screening. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  4. No, but then again a person with no criminal record could get a TI rating, commit a sexual crime, do the prison time, come back, get current and there'd be nothing USPA would be able to do about this person having a TI rating with also being in sex offender registry. Which is why the only sensible option in this scenario is for the individual DZ to do the filtering instead of USPA or the manufacturer who assigns the ratings. 5. I can't think of any reason why there would be a lot of force on your clavicle so long as you're opening from a belly to earth attitude. If you pull from head down then things might be different. FYI, I've had openings that were hard enough to brake bones but I haven't ever noticed any stress on my clavicle. But then again I've never pulled from head down. Although I've pulled from full flight on a WS, which is almost like head down in a way, but even on that I don't recall feeling much pain on my clavicle. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  6. Yeah, the freebag was in that forest, but our rigger climbed the tree and fetched it. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  7. It could be that the kill-line has shrunk again. It was replaced about 2 years ago and it has about 300 jumps since. I'll have to check that to make sure. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  8. I've always wondered a little how is it possible to have a baglock. Well now I no longer have to. (The main PC entangling with the reserve risers was a bit annoying). Do you think that the primary reason for that baglock was the use of normal rubbers? Or do you think that the wear on the lineset might have contributed on it? The lines have at least 1100 jumps on them. Also anyone have any guesses as to why the first stow is completely removed and the two other next to it are not? You can see the d-bag after I land around 2:15. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  9. I guess it varies from case to case, but I didn't pay much if anything for being a TI, my DZ pretty much payed it all. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  10. They should add that ignition fluid to the fuel on every launch. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

  12. Have you considered paragliding? Its basically skydiving without freefall. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  13. The Skyhook is Rigging Innovations reserve pilot chute, and has been for decades. I think some other company later started calling some other product a Skyhook too. No, its a CIA contraption from the 50's. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  14. Did I miss something? Didn't the DZO of the place where this happened, who was on the same load when it happened, made a post in the original incident thread explaining what happened? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  15. I always thought those planes come in more softer, the last few meters seemed very violent. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  16. Could you elaborate on the alternative explanation? Do you know the secret handshake? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  17. My understanding on the reason for two investigations is that on the first try the guy in question was part of the group doing the investigation, which by anyones standards isn't proper. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  18. I would literally be fired if I did that, probably that day, most certainly the next day. Jeesus!! Giving someone a mouse-mat could get you fired?? Doesn't that alone make you want to look for another place to work??? If for no other reason than you might at any point get fired for random shit anyway? I don't think its the giving a mouse pad part but rather the 'huge song and dance' part that would get him axed. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  19. How did they rub it in? They did it at night and didn't release the videos until they were caught. In fact if the overzealous manhunt didn't catch them, 99.99% of the people on these forums wouldn't even know that the jumps took place in the first place. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  20. What about TI's that come from outside the US from countries that don't have these lists? Automatically assume they're guilty of something just to be sure? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  21. How is it not a witch hunt? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  22. I just glued a piece of reflective plastic on my alti-track. Borrowed the glue and the plastic from a rigged for a total cost of 0$. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  23. I totally didn't recognize the 'I see dead people kid' until I read the comments. Even then I had to check the cast list and verify with imdb and google. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  24. How do you know that the people you talked to didn't flat out lie to you, knowing that what ever they told you, you wouldn't pass forward? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  25. The first Android phone by Microsoft. I still can't quite wrap my head around this thing. Or the fact that it even got released. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
