  1. I'm not an old guy and I wouldn't recommend a digital* to any student**. In fact I wouldn't recommend it anyone. There is zero benefit in knowing your exact altitude in freefall. In fact I bet you'll end up wasting more time having to concentrate more to make out the exact digital reading rather then just glancing over at an analog display and looking at the needle. *Digital as in showing altitude on a digital display, not something like alti-track. **Our local rules don't allow students to use digital altimeters anyway so my opinion doesn't even affect it. 2. They don't have the imagination for it. If they'd have, they'd already done it. Its not like they can't afford a couple of plane tickets across the pond. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  3. You'll probably be fine. Being a passenger on a tandem makes it much easier to get motion sickness and get nauseous. I've never felt any nauseousness on any solo jumps nor tandems where I'm on the TI side. However when I was a passenger for another TI, I started to feel nauseous after just one revolution after he started spinning the canopy and it took a long while after landing for the feeling to go away. 5. Poor guy, he just wanted to relax a little on his vacation but was just so distracted by all the exposed skin. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  6. 15 and 18? Youthful indiscretion, especially if the girl consensually participated, as the attorney alleged. 13 (the age of the 2nd victim) and 18? Oh fuck no. I will crush your nuts with a hammer. I had some 18 year old high school senior and life guard at the local pool try that with my little sister when she was 13, asked her to sneak out of the house. I put the kid in the hospital. I was never arrested and charges were never filed. I don't see how its a good idea to publicly brag about getting away with felony assault just to get some Internet tough guy credits. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  7. Oh wow, can't wait until someone breaks into their servers and creates a nation wide who-fucked-who database. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  8. Its a fetish among thousands of others. Go to any porn site with user up-loadable content and search for drunken/passed out if you don't believe me. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  9. I'm not an expert with SQL but wouldn't something like: SELECT SUM(CASE WHEN x.pdate >= DATE_ADD(NOW(), INTERVAL -1 YEAR) THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) AS p_ty, SUM(CASE WHEN x.pdate >= DATE_ADD(NOW(), INTERVAL -2 YEAR) AND x.pdate
  10. So they're having a candle light vigil for people who were willing to murder a working person in order to gain maybe few honest days worth of money? Your rights end where my feelings begin.

    Bill Dause

    I assume he is... So is Don Kellner... If they'd stopped, I'm sure it'd be newsworthy. Hundreds of jumpers stop every year. Unless they themselves made a big deal of it, why do you think Bill and Don's retirement would be so newsworthy? Don't they have more jumps than anyone else in America? If football player Brett Favre retired, that would be news. If golfer Tiger Woods retired, that would be news. Likewise with Bill or Don. Not just America. The world. I can't remember what the jump numbers are now, maybe high 30K to low 40K? IIRC, they were jumping almost every day a few years back. According to this website Don had 41k jumps by June 29, 2013. 12. Why do people assume mental health is a static state? 'Crazy' people aren't crazy the day they are born. You can be shining beacon of mental health one day and lose it all on another. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  13. People who have chronic hard openings on Sabre II's either have a rare bastard canopy or aren't packing properly. With that in mind, remember that any canopy can open hard enough to kill you on any jump, even when perfectly packed. My S2 was initially fine. I could pack it however I'd want to and it didn't really matter if I pulled from full track or whatever. It opened just fine. Then after it had about 1100 jumps on it I had to change the lineset. Absolutely horrible slammers on almost every jump no matter what. Now I just roll all the other cells except the middle one and it opens really nice again. Although the snivel is insane now. I want one

    Is his name really 'blowjob baldwin'? I mean sure it kind of has a nice ring to it, but what was his parents thinking? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  15. I did 19 PRCP's before I got to freefall so failing twice is weak sauce. Without knowing what kind of static line set up or what kind of handle you use its somewhat hard to give much advice. However the advice already given on not giving up is the best. If you can't locate the handle and the canopy already opens its best to still check where the handle is located as it typically gets to move around when the canopy opens and the container empties up. 16. Thats just ambiguity of misleading and/or incorrect notation. The mathematical abstraction behind the symbols is still the same. It doesn't matter if you say 1+1=2 or 1+1=10, the actual abstraction behind it is still the same. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

  18. All you had to do was to google 'fox news demographics' and your gut feeling would've been verified: http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/01/half-of-fox-news-viewers-are-68-and-older/283385/ In other words, TV news are viewed by old people. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  19. You ignored the point I made earlier in this thread. You ignored it when Andy9o8 asked you to comment on it. Can you please continue your blissful ignorance and continue ignoring it? Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  20. The Finnish broadcasting company showed this last night. I happened to catch it purely by accident as it was shown right after the latest Doctor Who episode. Its available online but I think its limited to be visible only from Finnish IP-addresses. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  21. I fully intended to go out and get some photos, but then I totally forgot. Luckily other people went out got some nice ones for the local news mag. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  22. You got roughly 50% of the people supporting one team and the other 50% another. One teams gets a single news channel and the other gets like a dozen. Is it any wonder that the single news channel for the other team has more viewers? If you want to compare you gotta combine all the liberals against Fox. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
  23. Get Alti-track and you'll get both. Analog for freefall (I can't honestly understand why anyone would need to know their exact altitude in freefall) and under canopy you just flip it over and you have a digital. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
