He didn't have RSL. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3649641;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Mechanical - reliable? Have you ever looked inside one? The mechanics are very delicate and it is ridiculously easy to break one. The only aspect of reliability they have its the fact that you don't have to carry backup batteries in case the current ones run out. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

the subforums and its uses..

But how do they know you're a hot chick? Your avatar picture of course. Well does it really need to be your picture? No. So if you really need help, just change your avatar to a picture of a hot chick or make a new user name (with a hot chick avatar pic) and you've got all the help in the world. 5k is like 15-20 secs of free fall. Somewhere in 2,5k-3,5k range is what i would call a hop'n'pop. Although last time I exited at 2,5k I was on my back because I wanted to see the plane, so it wasn't exactly a hop'n'pop. The only time I've jumped from a balloon I exited at 4,2k. Cypres was turned off and I was open around 2k. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Who is More Impressive in this P2P?
Arvoitus replied to bbs3232's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well the guy flying with the camera probably could've gotten in that plane too. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
The music is from The Transformers movie. The jumper is one of the guys who did the skydive stunt in the second Transformers movie. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Or you could just read your Cypres manual. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

If you lay on your bed long enough you'll get bedsores which can get infected and the infection can then kill you. So I would not call that a safe activity to engage in. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Heart rate whilst skydiving
Arvoitus replied to bobbybigtime's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Most of the time I don't have the GPS sensor with me so most jumps I've recorded don't include the GPS data. Here is bunch more jumps I've recorded. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
Heart rate whilst skydiving
Arvoitus replied to bobbybigtime's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have a Polar RS800CX. It can record HR at 1 second intervals, altitude at 5 second intervals and GPS data at 1 second intervals. If I do solo jumps my HR is around 150 and with other people its around 160-170. I've attached a graph from one jump. The thin red line is HR, thick red is altitude and blue one is speed. There is a way to pack the pilot chute so that it won't do what happened to the other jumper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axCeYlY_6io Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I have one. I never use the goggle strap channel since it lifts the goggles off my face so much that the air flow would just get in my eyes and rip my contacts lenses off. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I never really thought about how much it affects your thought processes to be in freefall but if it really changes them that much then it puts this video: http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=6360 in a whole new perspective. Not that it wasn't impressive on the first time I saw it. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Approx. Amount Spent in Sport Divided By Your Jumps = ???
Arvoitus replied to Mazz's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I started last year so the number is a bit skewed. If I count in everything skydiving related (jumps, gear, trips, licensing fees and whatnot) the total is about 8300 eur and I got 140 jumps last year so for last year its about 60 eur per jump. I don't really care though. Whatever it costs I'll pay it as long as I get to skydive. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
I didn't spot MARD (Main Assisted Reserve Deployment) on either one of the lists. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

What is a "regular BASE jump"? I've never heard of a "regular BASE jump". Unless you mean the ones between 25 and 1500m vertical. Take care, space My guess is that the 'regular BASE jump' means a jump with just a BASE-rig and nothing extra fancy stuff like a wingsuit. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Last friday I bought this fancy heart rate monitor which has a GPS sensor accessory. I tried to see what kind of ground speed I could get in a track. I only did one attempt from about 1800 meters and stopped the track at around 1200 meters so I couldn't get a very good acceleration. Also the suit I wore is a fairly tight fit so I can't get much help from it. The speed topped at only 77.4 kmh but I kind of want to believe I did better since the GPS seems to have some sort of a delay at least when you're decelerating. Attached is picture of a HR/alt./speed graph and a picture of the suit I wore. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

If the money is an issue have you considered static line program? Where I'm from I get roughly 6-7 jumps in static line program for the cost of one AFF jump. So the minimum 7 AFF jumps costs the same as about 42-50 jumps in static line program. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Its cheaper then buying a new rig. Can't say for sure since I don't know how it works in US exactly but first you would be jumping something big with a small wingloading. Then move on to something smaller in small steps. If you would buy it new every time it would cost quite a lot of money. Like it was already said. Don't jump it unless you have a qualified rigger check it. I'm the 4th owner on my current rig and I don't have trust issues jumping it as I had it checked and the logs didn't have anything odd looking in them. Again I don't know the way things work in US but you probably have student/rental gear you use before you get your own gear. That stuff is used gear. Yet you still keep jumping it. Practice pulls...is it always this frustrating?
Arvoitus replied to Ion01's topic in Safety and Training
So true. I had to do 19 PRCP's before I got to do my first hop'n'pop. Body position, kicking, couldn't find the handle. I did it all. On the worst days I did 6 attempts and only got 1 approved pull. Just don't give up and keep practicing. Eventually you get it and get off of the static line. Your rights end where my feelings begin.
