Teen Girls Kidnapped, Raped By Gang Of 9 Racist Thugs
Arvoitus replied to CameraNewbie's topic in Speakers Corner
Well according to the comments section the victims were black so I don't see your racism angle here. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
I wonder who goes to jail for understating the threat if it goes off with a downgraded threat level? Nobody. Planes won't stop falling like rocks ASAP if it goes off so no real harm done if the estimated threat level is wrong. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Its kind of sad that people in university can't distinguish between an umbrella and an assault rifle. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I know a couple of the guys who worked on that scene. I'm sure they advised the director but in the end the director decides on "the look" of the scene, reality be damned. Anyway, it showed skydiving in a positive light and my friends got some nice fat paychecks.

Tips and advices before my AFF in spain
Arvoitus replied to agmhanna's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Wind tunnel is a stress free way to learn the same skills you'd learn in free fall. Also it is somewhat more efficient since you don't have to deal with exit, deployment, canopy control/flight, packing etc. instead you can just keep on focusing on the free fall skills. It is in no way a mandatory thing you have to do, but it can be helpful for you. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
Am I located in a place with castle doctrine laws that allow me kill people in my own house without repercussions or am I located in a place where I'm hold responsible for my actions? Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Your problem is that you start from the false assumption that your God is real and people can either accept him/her/it or reject him/her/it. Which then leads you to another false assumption that atheists acknowledge the existence of your God but simply reject to believe in him/her/it. To an atheist your God is about as real as Sauron from the Lord of the Rings. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

They both have AADs, so everything's cool right?
Arvoitus replied to Remster's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Likely not. They exit at 0:30, the other guy has cypres fire at 1:28. So thats 58 seconds from exit to cypres fire. Which would give roughly 150 m (first 6 seconds) + 2600 m (52 seconds at 50 m/s) + 225 (cypres fire altitude) = 2975 m ~ 9800 feet which would be pretty normal cessna exit altitude. The last dock was about 3 seconds before AAD fired so assuming its an expert cypress it would be around 500+750 = 1250 feet or so. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -

Or maybe he just though he could make up for all the missed alti checks in free fall by repeatedly checking it on the ground. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
Like this. I wonder if those cops feel embarrassed afterwards or are they like 'shit happens when you party hard'. At least they've got an immunity from liability when they fuck up and destroy some random grannies house because they thought she was trolling on the Internets. The statistics are entirely irrelevant. You can die skydiving. If that is not acceptable then don't do it. If a student (tandem/SL) ask me whats the worst that can happen to them, I'll them that they can die. If they can't deal with that then they shouldn't be jumping. First I time heard about it was in this thread. With the whole Russia-Ukraine thing going on that mountain won't probably even register on news until it blows up. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

The rate really depends on where you'd buy the cypres otherwise from. Para-gear : $1,335.00 -> ~ 10.5% annual Rock sky market : $1,375.00 -> ~8.95% annual Chutingstar/Square1 : $1,399.00 -> ~8% annual Parachuteshop : $1450.00 -> ~6.1% annual Your rights end where my feelings begin.

As long as you have that proxy set in those settings, all of your browsing traffic(from firefox) will be routed through that proxy server. So once you're done watching that doc just remove the proxy settings and everything will be back to way it was. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I only briefly played it sometime between beta 6.5 and 1.1 at which point people weren't taking it too seriously and it felt like you could just join a game and have some fun. I doubt I'd survive a second on any live server nowadays. Few weeks ago I was channel surfing after I got back from the DZ and happened to catch the finals of some CS:GO tournament on the TV and it was weird watching it as they had all these professional strategies and were taking it way too seriously. But then again the winning team got 5k$ for basically playing a video game for few hours. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Oh cool ... thanks for posting this URl. Now I've seen the intro and yes they did a good job introducing the sport. Of course my comments about whether or not the WHUFFOs understand why jumpers/swoopers take these risks remain and of course the WHUFFOs will never get it. Anyway I hope y'all get a chance to watch the documentary. Definitely a must see for those in the jumping community and I will be passing this URL on to some Canuckleheads (friends and family) now. What difference does it make if they understand it or not? Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Can't disagree with you on any of your points. Personally I have no use for religion, and I believe Christ didn't either. Basically exploration of God is an exploration of self. I choose not to believe we came from nothing and will return to nothing. The universe is to vast for such nonsense. We came from God and we will return to Him. ... Why is it so hard to accept non-existence when you've already 'experienced' non-existence? You didn't exist before you were born. Similarly, once you die you'll no longer exist. Thats it, no big mystery, just eternal non-existence. All you have is the years you'll spend here. Once they're up, you'll be gone forever, only to exist in the minds and memories of the people left behind. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I love it how they list MSG as one of the 'unhealthy ingredients' only because some people get the farts from eating it. Thats like saying milk is poisonous because some people shit their pants if they get some lactose in them. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I have absolutely no statistics to back up my claims but there is now way in hell piloting a small air-craft is riskier then driving a motorcycle. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Again, not even close, there are a huge number of equally valid religions - what if Islam has it right? Its all the same thing. There is as much difference between Islam and Christianity as there is between republicans and democrats. Islam, Judaism and Christianity all evolved from the same source.
