Why couldn't they just cut the power to that thing? Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Shouldn't this make skydivers/BASE jumpers more valued workers since companies have a better chance to profit from them? Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I think you're going to have to define the term, "clear liquid diet" for me. I'm not understanding how Coke is a clear liquid. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/clear-liquid-diet/art-20048505 Probably the kind of Coke that doesn't have sugar in it? Its not 100% clear but I guess the minute amounts of methanol you get from it doesn't matter. Edit: When I actually read the mayo clinic article I noticed that it says you can drink 'Clear sodas', what ever that means. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

16 yo looking to get into skydiving
Arvoitus replied to Nick117's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Whether its a good idea or bad depends on who you ask. Personally I'd say if you can afford it and find a place that will allow you to do it (without a fake ID) go for it. And in case you need a fake ID just wait a while and some spammer will make a thread offering one. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -

I know British people are a bit eccentric being stuck all alone on that island but this is a whole new level of crazy. Does this apply to foreigners? Would I be barred from skydiving in Britain for being a semi-regular blooddoner? Your rights end where my feelings begin.

Why do you assume everybody worships some imaginary deity? I know it must be hard for you to imagine but there really are people who don't have any religious toughts, beliefs nor feelings. I know I have no idea what it must feel like to have religious toughts and even though I've been tempted at trying some psychedelics to induce those feelings, the risk of permanent brain damage has kept me from trying that. Still, eventhough I'm not religious I accept that some people are and I can't relate nor understand what it is like to be like that, but I don't assume everybody is like me. You would think that right. Well in other news the batteries in it are only 5 weeks old . It has also dumped my jumps and in the last 5 days logged 240+ jumps from 3500 with a opening altitude of 600 feet. Something isn't right. Guess I'll be calling L&B. uess anyone has seen this becore Are you sure you have the right batteries in it? Other sizes will fit well enough to turn on but create all sorts of weird errors. How is that possible ? Batteries power up circuits. all majorly available (CRxxxx nomenclature) Lithium button batteries are 3V DC, with the only difference being the Amperage (capacity) and obviously the size. I would make a well-educated guess that putting in a lower capacity battery will just cause the unit to act normally, but won't last as long as the recommended CR2330 size. My best guess to OP's problem is circuitry problem, most likely either in the part the reads the barometric pressure or in the pressure sensor itself. I would recommend contacting L&B, and very much doubt that there's a McGuyver solution to this. I've used 'wrong'(lesser capacity/thinner size) kind of batteries and the only difference was that they lasted a shorter amount of jumps then the recommended batteries. Also I had to add filling in between the batteries to bridge the 1 mm cap to create a connection (I used CR-2325's which are 0.5 mm thinner then cr-2330). Your rights end where my feelings begin.

What's expected of a student during a tandem malfunction?
Arvoitus replied to leafyanna's topic in Tandem Skydiving
How fucking delusional can one be? He is suing them yet "One day he hopes to meet tandem master Bill again, to swap stories with the only other man in the world who understands what happened." I'm pretty sure the only time he'll be swapping stories with the TI is in the courtroom. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
Try not doing it all until your done for the day. I personally never try to equalize until I know I'm not jumping any more for the day. On normal day I only get this feeling like my ears are full and everything sounds like its mumbled. Sometimes its worse and right after freefall I get a sharp pain in my ears and ringing sound. The only time its really a big issue is sometimes on tandems I can't hear the passanger very well so I end up yelling at them. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

I probably wouldn't even notice it as I don't take Internet seriously enough to care. But if it did happen I'd feel pleased that I've managed to piss someone off so badly they need to resort something as pointless as stalking me online. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

">Fox News is the most trusted name in all of news<"

I'm saying that if the "Public Religion Research Institute" conducts a poll, you can pretty freaking well assume it's a bit biased because THAT is the actual poll in question. http://publicreligion.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Immigration-Panel-Callback-Topline.pdf I don't see why it would be as at least by their own description: For instance the question 8.a If they were serious about skewing the result I doubt they'd show a majority support for something like gay marriage. I think the explanation is what was already said before, 50% of the population has 1 choice where as the other 50% has about dozen choices. If you compare the numbers: 23 Broadcast network news, such as NBC, ABC or CBS 17 CNN 25 Fox News 05 MSNBC 08 Comedy Central’s Daily Show with Jon Stewart its 53% liberal vs. 25% right wing. But here's the thing. That kind of language used to describe a tandem jump--"rubbing up on a woman's ass"--makes me extremely uncomfortable regardless of whether the guy is a registered sex offender or not. It makes it sound like there's something sexual about a tandem jump at least when the passenger is of the gender that the TI is attracted to. It makes it sound like TI's are getting some sort of pleasure of an inappropriate kind from these jumps but most are just smart enough not to cross a line where they become registered sex offenders. If that's how tandem is seen, it makes me uncomfortable with the whole concept of tandem. It makes me uncomfortable, for example, giving a tandem jump as a gift to a female family member. I don't like the idea of the TI somehow getting that kind of pleasure from such a jump regardless of whether he is a registered sex offender or not. I don't want TI's getting sexual pleasure from their work. If that's how the job of a TI is seen then THAT is the problem--and we're focusing on the wrong thing when we talk about registered sex offenders. Trust me, the only people who might think there is something sexual about tandem are people who've never worked as TI's. Too much stuff going through your mind to be thinking anything sexual. What type was your first jump and why?
Arvoitus replied to JeffCa's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
SL, didn't even consider a tandem as I wanted to start to skydive and learn how to do it. Also AFF wasn't available and I didn't even know of its existence until later on after I had been in the SL student program for a while. Your rights end where my feelings begin. -
Not the past couple years. And where are your numbers to support this? Well I didn't actually check the numbers but instead used my gut feeling based on the fact that even though there were a lot of ws-base fatalities last year, they weren't all proxy. And I guesstimated the swooping deaths by ~30 fatalities in north America / per year, which accounts to roughly 50% of global, and about 40% being swooping giving higher numbers. But now that I checked the numbers it was as far as I can tell 15 proxy WS vs. 14 swoop deaths. So I was wrong for last year, but right for every other year before that. 14 swoop deaths or some swoop deaths and some low turn deaths? also as stated by wasatchrider above, the amount of swooping that happens each year compared to the number of proxy jumps each year hurts your comparison. Dead is dead, doesn't matter how many attempts it takes to get there. Your rights end where my feelings begin.

If a man with emotional/psychological power issues/problems has his penis cut off because of one of his victims, do you really think he's just gonna go to bed at peace with himself and forget about it? So much for your "christian" values speech with regard to capital punishment/revenge. Do you think Charles F. Warner should just be castrated and sent back into society after raping and murdering an infant? I'm starting to believe that the only reason you're really against capital punishment, is because you think they're getting off too easy. If a man decides to harm others he loses his rights to reoffend once convicted. If he wants a second chance.. let him make sure his tendencies are lessened and if castration is on the table( you do know that does not include penile removal I have no idea where you are coming up with that) to help control animalistic predatory behavior then fine... otherwise I am good with life is life. I want them isolated from those who are capable of living peacefully and playing well with others of that society. If you see that as vengeful... why in the world do YOU want to be surrounded by people like that?? So automatic death sentence for murder and thieves have their hands cut off too?
