Holy shit batman, you do have some good ones! I've only been to OSH 4 times. I can only make it every few years. Was there in 07' so it'll prolly be next year before I make it up. Gosh, would you hang out with an ole jump pilot?!!! (that only has 6 jumps)

Also, Friar Tuck's just off the field on the northwest end. Packers Pub not far either...... Both within walking distance if you're camping on site...but that's the rub, they're both full of EAA'ers...which is cool for some good conversation etc. 'Acey Deucy' on the other hand is the 'performers' bar...where the cool kids hang out. Years ago I was on a bar-stool between Chuck Yeager and Pappy Boyington...Bob Hover was standing behind me putting the moves on someone 30-40 years younger.... All kinds of 'airshows over the years' pics all over the bar, look for the one in back of me shooting Chuck Yeager with a Mac10 water pistol. THOSE kinds of bars make for interesting conversation! Sounds like you've got some great memories/stories to tell! Next year I'll give that place a visit or 7. Thanks for the info P.S. Pappy, damn Met him in 1970 something at an airshow! Of course I was just a wee lad.

Whoa Billy, Maybe it was just one dirtbag at that company who was having a bad day.... First, I would call back and speak to the manager (hopefully that wasn't him) and see if they can do you right. Don't fire a whole company for one person being a dickhead.

Inspection sticker, not registration......

Dave, Off topic here, but need some info. I put a Fender Eliminator on my bike yesterday. Where the hell does the TX registration decal go! Dang, I can't find out the Texas laws regarding this..... Can I just stick it on one of the forks, the windshield? There really isn't much room where the liscense plate is now... Thanks, Buck

Anyone get a stimulus check that wasn't the right amount?

The real beauty of the plan, of course, is that they can tax it again as income next year They can not tax it. -
Dave, you crack me up......

Went to a friends at the Venetian back in March. The chapel they held the ceremony in was kinda smallish. Nicely decorated though.

Some Personal Observations to Help Save a Little Fuel
Beerlight replied to Gawain's topic in The Bonfire
Also, if you have a pickup truck, keeping the tailgate closed v. down/open is better for mileage. If left open (what I always thought), a massive burble is made just behind the cockpit adding mucho drag...... Saw it on MythBusters! -
Ahem, I think that SkyBeergod fulfilled his end of the contractual agreement between the two of you and this includes the aforementioned should receive, Exhibit "B" labeled "boobies" at the earliest opportunity. Of course, as the mediator I'll need to see the ah......boobies for myself!

Yep, but most ALL of us came from Europe! Do they have rednecks over there? I'm sure of it.

Maybe we can have one of our resident experts speak, er write on octane v. performance...pros/cons..etc.... The Si engine is a high-revving, short stroke, high-compression engine. It needs the extra octane. The knock sensors can only do so much against a low-torque power plant. I drive a 4-cylinder inline, 4-stroke, DOHC, w/ a 11.5 to 1 compression ratio that makes 147.8 BHP @ 10,000 rpm. Redline is 12,000 rpm. My manual states 87 octane is recommended. Been running that for years now, no problemos. OK, it's a motorcycle but seems to me about the same as a small car.

Dude, ain't nothing wrong with my comment. Do you ride? Supposing you do, if you don't think about it everytime you ride somethings wrong......... Maybe your 100,000 miler group are sunny day, light traffic riders? Kinda like flying taildraggers, it's not IF you'll ever groundloop, but WHEN.......... same shit.
-
But, octane has nothing to do with mileage, or so I hear....? It's more along the line of combustion chamber diameter that regulates octane increases/requirements. 87 Octane actually ignites /burns faster than higher Octanes. I just hate to see someone run a higher cost gas and they don't really need it...
