The guy needs a wheelbarrow to transport his testicles....!! He was the guy who did it, not just talked about it and it's great that he was finally recognized....... nice job Joe!

I see a few I know. In the white jumpsuit on the right is "Mad Jack" Reeves. Saw him a few months ago. Close to Jack there, is Richard "Cass" Castillo (in the red suit, blue rig), he still lives in San Antonio and is a regular CRW guy still. Also maybe recognize Mark Buell, Mike Wright, and way up in the front of the plane Weldon Hercheck. Can't remember which -3 this was. Some Swedish guy flew it? We had one come down to San Antonio (88 or 89) and fly some for us... Buck Buchanan edit to add: I was a jump pilot back in the 80's and 90's...

Houston, TX. What John said. They come by regular w/ flyers. So far the going rate for my neighborhood on mowing, edge and bagging it is $30ish per yard. Good luck to them!!

Doss Aviation. Man, those guys have been around a long long time now. They had the IFS program @ Hondo, TX for years until the T-3 program folded. Good luck and you'll get your flightsuit!
-
Good luck running it up the chain LT Why risk it though? It's only a temporary thing anyhows. You do get points for playing well with others edit to add: Where are you going thru IFS?

Warmer weather = more skydiving. Proportional. I'd say it will not affect skydiving (new starts/ tandems etc) much if at all. Most accidents today are someone having a bad landing under a good canopy anyways......

Yep, or as we instructed in the Air Force, you "dress for egress". Wonder how the other services taught it?

I hear lots of pilots are boycotting it this year. Something the EAA did to them??? I do the Oshkosh thing, would like to hit the SunNFun...

This is how you drive the price of gas down!
Beerlight replied to MikeForsythe's topic in The Bonfire
I sure wish something like this would work! but sadly, whom do you think the other gas suppliers buy their gas from?? hmmmm, you guessed it, from Exxon and Mobil.... (at least that's what a friend of a friend, of a guy that knows someone told me!) -
One of my troops in the military turned to me in a bar, had to show us all something. He raised his shirt and there it was in the middle of all that belly hair.... I spilled my beer!
-
that's a great read, thanks for posting! I have a question for the masses though.... At the altitude the SR flew, would someone on the ground actually hear/feel a sonic "boom"? From my feeble aeronautical background, I thought it impossible from anything above FL300 or so....... + it depends on which direction the pointy end is ah.....pointing?

'Coz of the flames....or 'coz of all the white tiles, raining down? Ya'd kinda' think that by now, they'd have a little better handle on that sh*t. Surely...they've heard of duct-tape!?! Great post.....

Bill Dause is under the chopping block!!
Beerlight replied to ts1962's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Chris, it still would not be the pilots fault. IF the pilot violated a FAR or something in the POH, then they could be found liable. Sure, there ARE bad jump pilots, and if there are shouldn't the DZO just fire them?
