What a cool bug! No cicadas here, but it looks neat. Yes I love bugs, and spiders, and snakes. Except earwigs. They gross me out. I don't have many physical fears. Not fond of moving water like rivers and the ocean, but I've kayaked and gone SCUBA diving. Used to be afraid for my own personal safety, so I took up martial arts. I don't want to be considered 'normal', so I skydive What totally mucks me up with fear is rejection. As a result, I don't commit myself to friendships easily. I'm procrastinating BIG TIME looking for a literary agent. I avoid confrontation because it might lead to rejection. And it isn't just the rejection itself. It's the reasons why. I've been hurt quite enough through rejections. Boils down to, I'm afraid that if I let the real 'me' out of the box, people won't like that me. So I don't let me out of the box. I know I know, it's dumb to worry about what people think, but I do. That's a big part of why I like skydivers. I can be me. ooh, I made this amazing chocolate dessert on Tuesday. Like a cross between a brownie and a souffle. Butter, eggs, chocolate, kalhua (sp?)and sugar. It melts in your mouth like a truffle. my dream job. That's easy. Writing. Novels, articles, or maybe screenplays. Work from home, or on a laptop from anywhere. That would let me travel, not be tied to a desk job. When I was 9, we lived in a house that overlooked a lake where they did parasailing. I wanted SO BAD to do it, but was too young. I wanted to go up on the longest rope. Or even no rope would be good The higher the better, maybe even out of a plane... Then about eight years ago I was at a friends for a BBQ. Their place overlooked the local airport and all afternoon we watched the skydivers. From then on I wanted to do it, it just took awhile for me to have and cough up the $$.
