  1. Vex, Cranberry. MMmmmmmMMmm. Listening to the jump plane, working at home on a webpage I've got to get done. How's the champagne? Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  2. PM'd... Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  3. Michele! Why doesn't that surprise me! How many cats live with you now? As for lifespan, my Leaha is 15 and shows no signs of slowing down. She was outside a bit when younger, but stays in now. I fully expect she'll be waking me up at 5 in the morning by sticking her whiskers in my ear for many more years.
  4. Don't know about them all, but the second one - the dog one - I saw at the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal in Vancouver. For real. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  5. Wish I could get down there for the weekend! I work Saturday, and just had the whole weekend off for my C1 course (which rocked, despite the 'task saturation' ie: brain overload involved). No way to get time off. But now I'm tempted to drive down Saturday night... it's not far... hmmm I will be at the Scrambles in Pitt, in September, though. 6. Or come up to the Okanagan. We hit 41C on Saturday. 31 woulda been niiice. Of course, today it'll stay cool. The sun can't reach us through all this smoke! At least it stayed clear for the weekend. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  7. And it only gets BETTER! Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  8. 1:5:2 Haven't had such a nerve racking weekend in... I don't know since when! But after 3 intense days... 1 Coach 1 rating received! 5 jumps to get there! 2 cases owed, one for my FIRST rating, the second for landing on the wrong side of the fence and bruising my tushy Yup I'm a happy gal today Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  9. Sheena. A story involving leopard print underwear. Nuff said. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein

    80s music

The local radio station has a 'Lost 80's Lunch hour' every day. Love it! Toss in Bryan Adams Cory Hart The Police The Box (or was it just 'Box'?) Bruce Springsteen Rick Springfield And, did someone already say? Huey Lewis and the News, love em! 80s music

Agreed! 80's music rocks. Of course, I'm an 80's child, so I'm naturally partial. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  12. You're right. You won't ever stop missing him. And yet somehow, he'll always be so close it feels you could touch him. ((HUGS)) and condolences. Let people lend you strength when you need it, and give yourself lots of time to deal with it. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  13. My girlfriend's husband's good friend is the lead singer of Nickleback. I sold a telescope to Stephen King. Not the Stephen King, but that was his name! Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  14. I do sales, and I use skydiving as an identifier. I'm 'the chick at IVMA who skydives' and it works for me in that capacity. When my customers comment that I must be crazy or something, I usually say, "Thanks! I'll take that as a compliment!" Generally, they are all cool about it, some even ask how my weekend was and the like. Like I said, it works to my advantage.
  15. 1:2:1 1 interesting discussion about attending boogies and experience levels. 2 jumps, one lurking a friend doing a tandem (first time, thus the beer) and a 3 way that I funneled the exit, but got to do some fun flying to put it back together. Have fun, be safe everyone!
  16. Thank any deity you want, it's FRIDAY! yay! And I get the whole thing off, a REAL weekend. This Friday goes down in my Hellday record book. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  17. Redecorate his area with sticky notes. Purple sticky notes. Tie the arms of his jacket in knots (if he has a jacket handy of course) Replace his mouse with a dead or fake rodent. Although I like the idea of turning downt his screen brightness. But not all at once, do it a bit at a time so he thinks his eyes are going. And when he asks you if you think it's dark, say 'nope, looks fine to me.' Mess with his head! Donuts

DONUTS! Nope, no resistance. So I try and beat the craving and have just a Timbit. A Dutchie Timbit. One little bite, takes the edge off craving a full donut. Of course, every weekend SOMEone brings a box of Timmys' to the dz. Evil, evil people! Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. 19. If you define 'gear fear' as irrational/paranoid worry that something will go wrong even though you have been dilligent and meticulous in your preparations... NO. I you define it as awareness of what could happen even when you respect the purpose and condition of your gear, and have given responsible attention and action to the condition of your gear because you know the consequences, then I guess, YES. And since I jump my own well-maintained gear, and have almost never jumped borrowed gear, the problem of not being familiar with the condition of what's on my back isn't an issue. Borrowing/renting gear would change things up a lot. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  20. Hehehehehe I remember being that hopeless completely addicted that I couldn't think/didn't want to think about anything else. Watching videos, reading, surfing, dreaming... Oh yeah, I'm still like that... Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  21. Don't know about all the rest, but I know many of mine were sheep thieves in Scotland. My cousin did the family tree thing a few years ago. She also found out that a girl I went to elementary school with is a long lost cousin whose great grandfather moved west and lost touch with his family including his brother = MY great grandfather. Kinda cool. I also recently found out that my grandparents ran rum. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  22. Supposed to. So far they're pretty informal discussions, we're a pretty informal office. That has good points and bad, it makes it hard to bring up my concerns, but goes good on my ego, since I generally get told I'm doing great. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  23. Pay some bills - like Wingnut said, then I'd have more $ monthly to play with. Buy a better canopy. Like a new Safire2 149, red and yellow with black topskin... Get my family together for some sort of gathering. We currently span three provinces, and haven't seen each other, all at the same time, for 3 years. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein
  24. We get a house/pet sitter whenever we go away for an extended time. Often we get a friend to look after our place. For the Invasion in January, we had the adult son of a friend look after things, he did a great job. I'd feel odd having a stranger look after things, even if they do it 'professionally'. We left our pooch at a well-recommended kennel once. ONCE. She was miserable. We felt like pions. Low life scum. The LOOK she gave us when we left... 25. lots:2:1 Be glad. BE VERY GLAD! Did 2 jumps Friday night, and one was through hail. Couldn't see it from the plane, no idea it was there until I was in my sit going through it. My arms look like I have the pox or something. The lots is for packing student gear. Not lots by many other people's standards, but for me... enough that I'm tired and sore today! Beer owed for the hail jump. In an odd, painful way, it was fun. Made me wish for a full-face helmet though.
