Hey Pyke do you still have that bag of tube stoes I gave you a few months ago before you were Mr. Cool and got a Heatwave (when you couldn't use them b/c you had big 'ol lines)? They cost me about 9 bucks so I hope so. Why don't you put them on and see? I bought the Tube Stoes, but then decided to stick with rubber bands. I really like them. They are cheap, they break when they need to, and I am used to them. K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid! I just decided not to bother with the stoes...if I don't have any rubber bands on hand I can get 'em free from anyone. I have 2 huge bags of them though so I don't imagine I will be running out for awhile... Sis I lust for the ultimate rush...

Let's see...Friday morning...hop in the car and drive to Dallas...get to the dz and bribe/beg a rigger to put my rig back together and repack my reserve. If there is daylight left at this point (which I doubt) JUMP! (if its not raining!) Friday night - drink, of course. Sleep on DZ in tent...send mom to motel, get her out of my hair. Saturday - pray for sun. JUMP! Try to talk mom into tandem. Saturday night - beer, of course! Mom to motel. Sunday - pray for sun. JUMP! Sunset: Watch 32-35 ways from ground. Sunday night, Hawaiian Luau wearing grass skirt and bikini top! BIG party, get wasted, smoke out on the roof of the hangar, sleep at DZ in tent with whoever else can't make it back to town...of course send mom to motel. She better make a tandem, sometime this weekend, dammit! Monday - should be sunny by now...mom's probably not going to make a tandem...I JUMP! JUMP! She begs to go home, so we drive home. Well, I understand the frustration over dz's...some of them are just whacked! I however, decided to post a thread on GOOD DZ's and what makes them that way! I may not have many jumps, but I've been to a lot of dz's... I have liked most of the dz's I have been to, but these are my favorites: 1 - Skydive Dallas - big dz but you still feel welcome, 2 nice turbines (Twin Otter and Caravan), big landing area, but we need a swoop pond, and stop this ridiculous tightening of restrictions in regard to weather holds! Otherwise, great dz. 2 - Front Range Skydivers - Colo. Springs, CO. - very freefly friendly dz, and the AF guys don't even ruin it. :) great great people, big landing area, etc. Caravan and one C-182. 3- Skydive Monroe, GA - what can I say? all the best boys are there. Just watch out for the women! eeeck! Only complaint is you can't sleep in the hangar. Nice King Air, and CASA 2x a year. 4- Eagle Flight Skydiving - Granbury, TX - where I did my training - facilities are lacking but the people are great. 2 C-182s very safety oriented... I guess what influences my decision are the people and attitude. I want to feel welcome wherever I go...and have people offering to help me on jumps, etc. Sure, planes are important, but they aren't everything! I also treat safety as a big concern. I don't want people sticking their noses up my butt, but I like to see safe aircraft, good JM's, and intelligent manifesting (not pansy manifesting! Just intelligent!) among other safety issues! Sis I lust for the ultimate rush...

hmmm...I have my tattoo studio chosen, and the artist wants to do my "canopy" tattoo, but I have to have the money. Plus I want to wait for winter when I jump less because it will hurt if I get a tat and then go jump. I know a girl who has a 3-ring system tattooed on her shoulders...personally, I think its weird looking, but that's just me. Sis PS - most of you know I have two tattoos already, they just aren't skydiving oriented. One is a crescent moon smoking aj joint and the other is a tribal anklet...both are on my ankles.
