  1. Easier said than done, but TRY to eat a lot less than you do now. I have found diets don't really work, long term. I have found that cutting down on the amount of food I do eat, works. J
  2. No, not this one, I read this one before it was deleted, I mean the one where he felt his remarks were abused. Has that one been deleted too? J
  3. Did I miss something, where is this post, the one he is referring to? J
  4. Did I miss something, where is this post? J
  5. So I don't have to 'search' for it, what was your post that was abused? J
  6. Cute! But let's hope there is someone there to catch these little future skydivers. I'm guilty too, I find myself holding my little grandson (9 months) up in the air and saying "I can fly"! I hope his parents don't catch me doing this! J
  7. I was on a site that explained the difference between Hang- gliding and Paragliding. I think I might be interested in the Paragliding! Fun! J

    Likes/Dislikes?

I was going to say Love/Hates, but those are pretty strong words. Let's try to keep these to 3 choices each and keep skydiving out of it, since we all LOVE skydiving. Thought it would be an interesting poll, maybe..... I like: lighthouses warm sunny skies good friends I dislike: bigotry people who think they are better than anyone else cold, rainy days J "Skydive, pure adrenalin!"
  9. Oh...I'm not even sure most of my family or friends would even know that hang gliding is more dangerous than skydiving! The thought of jumping out of plane is what they can't 'get over'! Everybody has this 'impression of me' as some quiet little person, and I surprised them all when I did a skydive! Now BASE jumping, that has got to be a major RUSH! J "The only things you'll ever regret are the ones you were too afraid to try".
  10. Hey, you really "peaked" my interest in hang gliding. Then the other night on 'The Amazing Race' they had tandem hang gliding. I never knew they had tandems, what a great way to experience this sport. I've been on the internet looking for someplace local, and we have one very close to me!!! Now, I'm thinking......this would be fun! No one around me thought I should skydive either, wait until they hear about this! J "Catch your dreams, go skydiving"!
  11. I'm with you!! I love Arizona. I can't stand all the cloudy, rainy, damp days here in Washington state. I have a son that lives in Arizona, so every chance I get, I'm there! I'm going next month, as a matter of fact! Grand Canyon is awesome. Sunny skies!!! That's for me! J
  12. I just saw some hang gliding on TV, does that look like fun!!! Go for it, and let us know how it is! J
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J "The only things you'll ever regret are the ones you were too afraid to try"!
  14. Man! You mean I missed out on a good ride for nothing? Actually my harness was tighter on the second tandem, at least it felt tighter. But does motion sickness also have something to do with it? A friend of mine was quite 'green' afterwards and has since realized she gets motion sickness. J
  15. Too bad, about you feeling sick. I only experienced a little bit on the first tandem, I think because the TM was spinning us a little too much. I was fine on the second tandem, because I asked him not to do any more spins than was necessary. What a rush, though, huh? Good luck and hang in there! J "Catch your dreams, go skydiving"!
  16. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of remark is that? Shame, but funny. J
  17. A little sense of urgency here????? J
  18. Well, thanks for that one! I'm seeing little colored squares now!! Takes a lot of eye concentration! Is addictive though. J

    Sad day

I am so sorry. I cannot understand why some 'sicko' would harm a child and it makes it so much worse when the media and public start voicing their opinion without even knowing what happened. There is a "special place in hell" for the gossipers. Well, at least we can hope there is! God Bless you and the family. J
  20. "hooked", because after my first skydive, I was hooked! J "Catch your dreams, go skydiving"
  21. I really didn't mean it wasn't curable, because I know it is. Besides, if I ever get licensed, you are going to jump with me! J
  22. It is curable, what I meant was prevention, so no one has to get it! I guess I worded that first reply wrong, sorry. Like having some method, so that no one, no one, would need any treatment to "cure" it. J
