  1. I can't stress this enough. If it's not intended to be a quick-flip, go fixed. Hell, I'd even go fixed on a "quick" flip. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

    I'm Sick!

I never get sick. I haven't felt this awful in at least six years. If I start to feel funky, I pop a couple echinacea, think positive, and go about my business. By the third day, I'm fine. Well, it's the fifth day and I'm not fine. So I called my manager, who was very sweet, but funny when he said he couldn't tell to hear me and I still sounded awesome. My hunny--all weekend--kept saying he knows I'm not well, but he'd never know it (). And the doctor today who examined me was all, "Holy shit, you weren't kidding." I mean she didn't say "Holy shit", but she wanted to. I told her from the get, "Look, 'this' is what I have. I need 'this'." My reasoning is because so many people act like they feel. I get it. But, you can act however you want (most of the time). It's a mindset--a decision. So get the fuck over it. Unless you're dreading work tomorrow, in which case, let's make-out. 3. Well, what the fuck else are you doing you can't call back and politely decline? The calls will stop--and if you get desperate it looks better if you responded and were affable. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. OK, I admit. I fucking LOVE deviled eggs. To my credit, I hadn't had them for 12 years until this past Christmas--the first one at my house--and my stepmom asked if she could bring anything (and I could tell she really wanted to--especially since it was mostly vegetarian. ). I did not hesitate to ask for deviled eggs. She makes the best!
  5. The ANWR thing has always been really fucking obvious to me (i.e. silly "solution"). Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. Have to agree. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  7. And sticky-fingers should beware of dropping a CFL light-bulb! I always thought they were funny-looking anyways. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  8. When one enjoys inflicting torment. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. Marlee Matlin is doing amazing on Dancing with the Stars. (I admit I only saw a clip, but it was GOOOOOOD!) Success is not out of reach, sometimes it's triumph over obstacles. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. Absolutely! I support a local charity which provides scholarships to at-risk & underprivileged students. Qualifying students receive private tuition grants that allow them & their families to choose an approved school of their choice. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  11. You guys are an emotional bunch. Get the fuck over it... and carry on. At least I'M still awesome. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. And this is why: From a radio interview: "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity," he said. "But she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way." I cringed during his speech when he got to the paragraph about "disowning" and the black community and his grandmother. I knew this one (again, really bad) paragraph would come back to bite him. 13. For current homeowners: Not enough equity anymore in their current home to put down on an upgrade. Problems selling or renting their current home. (Not everyone can float two or more properties.) Owing more on their current home than it's now worth. Same or less income coupled with rising cost of living = riskier to take on more debt (i.e. higher mortgage) than one already has. Tighter lending First-time home buyers: No idea. 14. Yup! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. That would be the Dems own fault. If they always wanted the person in the lead to win, they'd have never come up with the weird idea of super-delegates. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. Nope. (Edit: Think rapists. I don't expect some of them to reform. I defintitely DON'T agree with their oppression. I hope for their reform...) Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. Is she working harder than you? In what way? (Other than I'm not sure if you're a mom--don't think you are--so let's take the "single-mother" part out of the equation just to keep things simple.) I'm not asking because I think I know your answer, you just haven't given an example. Wendy gave an example of the beeper & the car. No doubt that still occurs. Still have a choice--doesn't mean it's right. But, one has more control of their reaction & subsequent actions than they have expecting "the offender" to change theirs. And eventually, after so many "live well" in despite of, "the offenders" will fade away and give way to a new generation. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. From the link I posted. 110% agree!
  19. Disagree right back at ya. You always have a choice. The words I quoted previously (to which you first replied) are so important in so many areas. If I've learned anything in life, it's that even when I shouldn't have to, I must let go of such resentments in order to move forward. "Living well is the best revenge." When such resentments rise, I decide not to allow them to get the best of me. What good would that do? Certainly those whom I might have otherwise resented don't give a shit. And nothing would change by me being resentful. I would simply be angry. And who wants to live like that? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. No, I do the attached. I LOVE some catalogs, and subscribe to twelve magazines. I mentioned The Artful Home in threads before, but I also love VivaTerra's catalog.

    Soy Vay!

I love wasabi, too. Not chicken. We live on the ocean and frequent a local fresh-daily fish market with local catch-of-the-days. We use it on that, when we're not putting it on veggies.

    Soy Vay!

I wouldn't post it if it weren't AWESOME! It's not spicy for those who think "Yowza!" about wasabi. It's not even close. I do like spicy, though, but we generally use a lot of peppers anyways in our creations.

    Soy Vay!

I LOVE their Wasabiyaki sauce! Check the "Where to Buy" link and get some for yourself. SO good.
  24. I come for the bologna. Yours is the best! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
