  1. Thanks for letting us know about this. We apologize for the inconvenience it has caused, we'll do some testing and subsequently attempt to fix any bugs that may exist with this. We will let you know once we've got things sorted.
  2. We do disable the users as soon as they are reported. This individual was disabled when the original post was made, and all his account privileges disabled too. I just double checked now and while looking, I saw that they have not logged in since the date when this thread was created. When did you receive a message from them? If it was over the past couple days, please forward that message they sent to abuse [at ] dropzone.com so we can see what is going on, as he shouldn't have been able to contact anyone using that username for nearly 2 weeks. It's possible that they may have created a new username, while still using the same details when they contact users.
  3. This problem should be resolved now.
  4. Hi, Apologies for this, We're busy working at the moment to resolve this technical issue.
  5. Apologies, this was a result of some testing that was being done. I've rectified the issue now. Thanks
  6. Unusual, working fine on firefox still.. I'll disable it again for now until I have tested more thoroughly with other browsers then.
  7. We're going to be changing it a little bit very shortly so that it doesn't become an issue when hovering, by turning it into an 'on click' menu as opposed to a hover.
  8. I never used the jump to forum function so I never noticed the way the thread options drop down impacted it. But trying to use it for testing I definitely found it annoying that the Thread Options drop down would be initiated every time I moved the mouse to that jump to forum button. I will think about the best ways to implement it, if there are better alternatives.
  9. The following scam has been reported: Click here to read more about these kind of scams. Remember: DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance. Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer". Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.This username has been disabled.
  10. Ah alright, gotcha. The drop down at the bottom of the page, I'll move that thread option buttons at the bottom to the left to make navigation easier without the dropdown being initiated.
  11. What I will do, which will help it a bit - is that I'll switch the next and the previous around so the next is at the top and easier to click on.
  12. Busy tinkering indeed... Can you let me know what pages it's present on? Or is it on all the main pages? We did some testing with Android phones prior to putting it live again, and I experienced nothing on my Android device. Will try run some mobile emulation and see if that lets me get some insight into what's happening. Thanks PS: Can anyone experiencing issues with this, please just provide your phone model and which operating system it's using (Example: Samsung Galaxy S3 - Ice Cream Sandwich)
  13. Fair point, I'll remove it for now and begin looking at the mobile implications in more detail.
  14. Yup, we're busy implementing that button. But was having some trouble with where it was displaying. We've removed it for now. Apologies for any inconvenience.
  15. The following user has been reported as a scammer. The user has been linked to other usernames which were also advertising scam ads on dropzone.com. PLEASE NOTE: The ads are often generic and copied and pasted from other legitimate ads. Be careful as these sellers are sometimes able to provide extra images for the items they're 'selling' and appear legitimate. Again be suspicious of broken English, especially when the seller claims to be from a native English speaking country. Do not do business with the following username: Username: jrjerao "Real Name" Used: Wanda Hofsommer Below is an example of a scam ad submitted by this user prior to removal. Keep a look out for similar formatted ads from other users too. [inline wanda.jpg]
  16. Thanks for letting us know. We'll keep an eye open for anything. We recently just removed some of the popups. But we`ll keep an eye for any malicious ads.

  18. Murrr... Thanks for the headsup, as stated in the other thread regarding the pop ups - I've reached out to those in charge of handling this and they have contacted the ad hosts. We hope to have them removed shortly.
  19. Apologies for this. We have reached out to the network serving the ads and hope to have this resolved quickly.
  20. Beware of the following username: Yakirtosh This user has been scamming people from dropzone.com, as well as other sites. The individual, unlike many other scammers, is actually a skydiver and in turn knows what to say to make the sale seem legitimate. Avoid doing business with this user, and please flag any ads you may see by this user as a scam. We have however, disabled the the username from the site.
  21. Ah yes, that mystery error again. We think that the error may be related to our cron jobs that run for a few minutes once a day, it's possible that it causes a short period where this error has been known to crop up.

  23. I agree, something does need to be done to try and make it easier. And we may work something into doing that, but the way this CMS's markup system works, we'd need to do quite a lot of work I think - in order to change it. But it's something I will discuss with the others and see what can be done. And with regards to any of those other posts, if you come across any - be sure to fire them this way, because if there ever is any issues with the code, I'd like to get it sorted out Cheers
  24. You're correct unkulunkulu... There haven't been any markup bugs, it's always been down to user error. Cases where someone forgets to close one of the tags, or accidentally adds another markup element by accident. As can be seen in the example above, the user accidentally clicked the e-mail markup (And never closed it). It may help to also understand how these markup tags work. Basically they're just shortcuts for CSS styling to be done. That is to say, if I type [.quote] - all that's essentially doing is pulling through some code. And then when I type the [./quote] part, it closes that div by pulling through . So if a user forgets at any point to close a tag, regardless of whether it's e-mail or quote or reply... It leaves one with an unclosed div and essentially breaks the styling. It's why we urge users to double check their posts and should they notice a styling issue with regards to tags, when they make a post. They should first try edit the post and see if they missed a tag. :)
